Dealing with all the uncertainty with recruiting, depth charts, NIL, coaching changes, and the transfer portal changes/predictions makes my brain itchy.
As much as it sucks to lose these guys (potentially), it means, among other things, that we are doing what we're suppose to in recruiting above the level we were previously at. At the end of the day, to all that do end up leaving, nothing but love and respect for those because they chose to come to the U and we are forever grateful.
One of the QBs hitting the portal wouldn't be a surprise. Poff has been looking really good.

If JB leaves I will be sad. I liked how the guy has stuck around all these years waiting on his time.
Why would JB leave now when his trajectory to start is higher next year regardless if he is QB2 this year? JB has the best chance to improve their overall performance year over year to any of the QBs competing for the QB1 opportunity in 2025. He is really starting to flash more and only lacks consistency which requires time. We keep forgetting that his high school didn't go vertical so these 2 years have been a major learning curve for Brown, and it's good to see he is making visible progress. He looked really good in the bowl game and would've been the MVP if not for George being selfish with multiple PF penalties and dropping a sure TD on the opening drive.

At the end of the day, it is competition is that separates good players from great ones. If you're unwilling to compete, what does that say about you as a player, but more importantly as a person?
While Redding should leave I don't think he will he's very intergrated with the community and school outside of football he's got a bright future outside of football

I'm willing to openly discuss tough topics. What I say on UA-cam will not impact a players decision. I don't hold that much power. Especially with the approach to this video. I don't WANT anyone to leave, but it doesn't work that way. After the spring game would be too late.
@@CoachCoop I agree and I don’t want anyone to leave either but Miami is way over the roster limit and we don’t know who will get those crucial reps during the spring (that’s not in the 2 deep rotation), we don’t know who will end up injured (hopefully no one). To speculate now seems a bit early. Now after the spring game absolutely let’s discuss because things will be much more clear. I agree with you coop I just think it’s a bit early….love the content and as canes fans it’s always good to agree to disagree 🫡
@@Hero-lc6rrYou're good my friend! I just try to stay on top of things because I'd end up being too late and not posting at all, lol. All of this stuff could definitely change at any point. As you said, injuries could happen along with other things. It's tough to say either way really. Sometimes players will leave you scratching your head wondering why they left, and sometimes why they stayed.

I personally think JB might leave, If you remember Emory was QB2 last season, with a year of development and recovery. I would expect Emory to take the rains in 2025. The team rallied behind him when he got his chance to start and even though we had to go with a more simple approach he still beat Clemson and was within 7 points of FSU at doak in his true freshman season as his first 2 starts. That is something TVD and JB couldn't do.

If Wes leaves it not because he's not wanted. Coach, Nicholson, Cristobal and Popo all have praised him in interviews. Chase Smith on the other hand has been praised by Miami Fo but I don't know how much that is worth
I hope Wes has stepped up and earns some playing time. I like him a lot. I agree about Smith though. Haven't heard much personally.

No clickbait here. I still think it's possible that he *might* leave. Parrish would've started, but still left. I think a few of the players that leave will surprise people. There's usually a few that shock the fans. I hope Bissainthe stays and plays!
@@CoachCoop except Parrish wasn’t Mario’s recruit. I do feel like that plays a factor. Look at who’s back there this spring getting meaningful reps. Citizen Chris Johnson, and Wheatley Humphrey. Not too mention the new lead back in Fletcher. I’d be absolutely dumbfounded if a guy like Bissainthe, who’s been getting snaps since his true freshman season, were to transfer from a starting role

I don’t understand Emory Williams should have been the starting QB. Ward is not a better passer than Emory. Emory had one season under his belt and should have been given the opportunity to come back next year the starter. Ward is going to have to play catch up in areas of the offense and WR chemistry. Wrong move by the coaching staff in my opinion. Bringing in a one on done QB doesn’t help the team build team chemistry on the Offense.

In the world of Division 1 college football, every player is highly athletic and talented to some degree. However, it is the cream of the crop who ultimately earn a spot in the starting lineup. Coaches are under immense pressure to deliver results, and they will always field the strongest team possible. In the realm of sports, merit reigns above all.
What if JB is beyond playing football, perhaps he understands that only 2% of collegians go on to play professionally. I hope he stays, however if he leaves I wish him well.
It's very possible! I really like his skillset a lot, and hopefully he earns some playing time at some point. The QB room is gonna be very interesting next year possibly.
