Finally! Some rock n roll for a change lol!!! Loverboy was really big for a moment. I saw them open for Journey and that was a very, very, very good show. The girls loved Mike Reno. My personal favorite song was Only The Lucky Ones. I remember buying this album, and ZZ Top Afterburner on the same day. Anyone out there that likes a little Loverboy, get their greatest hits. I caught ‘em in the summer jam in Seattle. They had the best crowd interaction I’ve ever witnessed. Crazy. I think that was 81 or 82. Joan Jet opened followed by Bryan Adam. Then Loverboy. Followed by Blue Oyster Cult and Foreigner closed the show. That was one hell of a good day
Cool thing about the song Dangerous. It was written by Bryan Adams and given to Loverboy to use. I forget whether it's on the Cuts like a knife or Reckless album but it's the same song but titled Notorious.
It's called a "Hook". something that the music industry as a whole doesn't have anymore. Which was one of the things that made music from the 70's and 80's so memorable....and you had actual musicians playing real instruments and no auto tuned vocals....Thanks for taking me back again to my teenage years, that song was in constant play for me in the summer of '85-'86.

Saw them live at the Richfield Coliseum! Got tickets late in the nosebleed section, a month earlier saw Pat Benatar with floor seats. Me and my girlfriend always saved our ticket stubs they looked identical to the Loverboy tickets. When the lights went down we made our way to the floor, when the usher asked to see our tickets I covered Pat Benatar so he only saw floor seats. He let us go down on the floor and we managed to squeeze in where there was one seat available. Not that it mattered everyone was on their feet the entire show! Wonderful memories! Great show! I was 13 when this came out in 1985. I remember getting the vinyl 45 of this song for Christmas that year. I finally got to see them live in 2016 and they were still rockin it! Reno's voice was still just as this recording. Amazing.

ZZ Top and Loverboy were just about the only non-metal bands from the 80s that I bought albums of. I'm shocked that a quick scroll through the comments didn't show a ton of suggestions for "Turn Me Loose". That song is a madman of a rocker. I will almost promise that it will immediately become your favorite Loverboy song.

Oddly one of my favorites songs ever. I mean like top five. I know it's weird to say but it is.
now you gotta do Loverboy's two theme songs to movies - 1. 'Heaven in Your Eyes' which is in Top Gun the first movie, and 2. 'Almost Paradise' which is in the original Footloose movie.

One of the biggest bands to ever come out of my hometown, Calgary, Alberta. Lots of excellent tunes with this band. "The Kid Is Hot Tonight" is a banger. I'd also recommend "Turn Me Loose," "When It's Over," and, for a real change of pace "This COuld Be the Night" (which apparently teh band used to refer to as "The Skinny Girl Song."

Ty Jay & amber for loverboy seen them in concert they were amazing. A few other songs you would like . Duran duran- wild boys, bto- let it ride, the scorpions- the zoo and a new artist for you the kings- this beat goes on/ switchin to glide. One of my super favorites ty guys so much!
