@Yaiga did you get this 20% value from testing or datamining? Because each character also have 5 defensive mastery nodes that reduces damage by 1% when stout heart or similar effects are active.
I usually use one or two of three combinations : - Stout Heart + Steel Nerves (a couple characters can get away with Steady Focus instead of Stout Heart, or even a skill) + some Health or Aegis on your Wrightstone. I find Crabvestment to be overkill in the endgame, as it costs a whole sigil. Yes, the damage cut is multiplicative with Stout Heart and Steel Nerves, but at endgame, in most cases, it will not allow you to eat another hit. In other words, if you have, say, 45.000 Health, the difference between taking 44.000 and 40.000 damage is not that great because you'll still use a potion right away, whereas the difference between 49000 and 44000 is actually not proccing your Guts, or just dying. - Improved Dodge + Nimble Onslaught. Goddam is this powerful. It combines defense with easier Perfect Dodges and just the insane mobility 7 dodges gives, and offense through CD reduction, SBA gain, and being capable of actually counter-attacking during mechanics. - Drain + Improved Healing. This is especially good with Terminus Weapons since Improved Healing triple-dips with Regeneration and Potions. Of course this is all character-dependant. Stout Heart + Steel Nerves is good on everyone, but I often pick the dodge for characters that don't loose their combo on a dodge like the Captain, Narmaya, Fery, and the Drain for characters that are "in your face" like Lancelot, Charlotta, or Katalina. For general use, Potion Hoarder is awesome, you know it, I know it, everybody knows it. It works really well with Guts, it can give Link% with the Blue pots, it's 3 more revives, and that's honestly more than you'll ever need if you build some defense as explained in the video, and are even remotly decent at the game. As I'm playing, I actually tend to ditch Auto-revive more and more, because it is rare that I actually use all of my rez potions, and in Proud, you don't care much about side objectives anyway. Finally, don't sleep in Improved Guard. Guarding is actually OP in this game. You can Guard while dodging, you can Guard while comboing, and it nullifies the incoming hit, just insane. The only downside is that your Guard can break somewhat easily against big hits, but guess what Improved Guard does? Yes, makes your Guard stronger! But careful, Perfect Guard is actually quite hard to get on purpose, which make the Perfect Guard traits actually pretty meh.

@@rurikhanI mean when we have characters like Eugen and mostly Rackam out DPSing all of the roster with a single move I’d say we can keep that, can’t we?
Rackam can literally spam jump heavy attacks and be the top dps in the game, Eugen is Just… Eugen.
And the dps with the rest of the roster is not even close, an eugen with 0 ascension investment on his terminus can easily keep up and even beat my fully built Narmaya and Zeta.
The only one he kinda struggles against is Id, but only in fights with huge bosses where his laser hits multiple times.
I’d take some tech making characters more viable rather than having to play the same 2 to be optimal.
Literally 90% of the roster has some sort of animation cancelling that turns their boring ass character into a face paced combo demon that feels super fun to execute if you learn it. If it was just Percivald then sure but it isn't.
He only cares about the character he plays being op

Rackam= Light Bowgun
Eugen = Heavy Bowgun
Did you see what I did there? 😏 it's mhw all over again, range characters out dps melee characters, you should know how archetype works,
I'm the same way I hope that get patched. It's so boring to do a exploit. Even when people use ferry and do her jump attack and heavy attack while she's in the air. Or even dodge canceling while in air with gondagoza to instant boost his trait
Uhhh Ferry is working as intended, so is the Ghandagoza tech, dodging to buffer inputs is a literal feature you can do with every single character in the game. Skill canceling seems unintended because it doesn't consume the cooldowns so it will probably get patched, and it's not even the worst of the bugs you can do with Percival lol
