- The odds were against Kanya and her siblings, who were living on the streets of Thailand. They were going through the trash for food, threatened by starvation, disease, cars and being picked up and transported to the dog meat trade. Good Samaritans found them, cared for them and through generous donations from K9 Aid and LIFE Animal Rescue found homes in America.

I put food outside my house cat food because dogs don't come in my area and I know have 23 cats im taking care of and now we a re still selling some but they are now loved and I am happy for them but it's sad too see them go I cry with happiness keep up the good work and other people saving pets!👍inshallah

both of my girls are rescues both Pomeranians and now around 7years and never paid a dime spayed as soon as I got them I'd love to have a heard of them but I have to make sure that these two get the best of everything for the rest of their lives

Awww, I'm so happy for these helpless, homeless dog's I'm crying!! Thank you to all the people who take them in and rescue them and adopt them, they deserve the best life ever!! Godbless everyone who has made this possible!!, what a heart warming story!! I have been adopting and rescuing dog's all my life, since I was a little girl and I'm 50yrs. old now and still doing it!!, and I Luv to make them happy and love them sooo much!, I also donate to the ASPCA, HSUS, WWF, and my local animal shelter!!

I adopted a dog from Kuwait where the "owners" dump them in the desert when they don't want them any more, for more info on this group go to facebook.com/groups/FosterGuardian/. They also have a Friday market there and the abuse is indescribable and unbearable to see.
No matter where it is happening, including the US please, please adopt!!!

Thai people don't typically adopt animals. If they were not brought to America, their chances would be very slim for survival.

It's people like this that makes the world a better place. Now we need to stop the Yulin annual dog eating festival where they cook them alive and/or brutally dismember them to eat. I cannot forget after watching this inhumane and senseless cruelty just to celebrate dog eating.

You are correct - Thais do not eat dog meat. But they do transport dogs across country lines to countries that do.
if you could just make it clear that it's an illegal, taboo trade in thailand. you make it sound like it's socially acceptable over there in thailand.
So here's the scoop. Thanks to rescue groups and animal lovers in Thailand, stronger animal welfare legislation is to be enacted. The dog meat trade is condemned in Thailand - but it certainly does still happen. In fact, thousands of dogs have been transported across country lines into Vietnam. Many dogs do not survive the trip.
Why do rescuers pick and choose only few dogs to rescue? it's like the rest r left to die in shelter or meat trade
Actually rescuers take as many as they can but in Thailand, specifically, there is an animal shelter with 5,000 dogs. With numbers like that saving them all seems impossible.
All well and good but there are thousands of dogs put to sleep that are already here.

LIFE Animal Rescue rescues dogs from Thailand and America. Fortunately, America has a better infrastructure for adoption, while Thailand does not. There is rarely a 2nd chance for street dogs in Thailand.

Personally I find it ridiculous that you do international adoptions of dogs, there are animal shelters everywhere with dogs with a sad story, with what cost us that trip I wonder how many dogs you could live better.

norberto bobbio its not ridiculous to save animals!! these dogs will have a better chance getting adopted in America and they are saved from being dog meat in Asia. You can blame Americans for overbreeding and not taking care of their dogs--thats why so many dogs are being killed at shelters. Many countries dont have animal laws so these dogs are being tortured EVERYDAY!
