If you can ride a 125, you should be fine on a 700
Obviously everyone is different, I can't say if you will be good or not because everyone learns at their own pace.
From my experience though, if you're worried about upgrading just know that it's not as bad as you might think.

Hope you enjoyed today's video, this week just hasn't been my week, I've had 2 parcels arrive damaged / opened, one arrived late and one was delayed.... just my luck lol
What’s the top speed?

🏍 💨 😬😬😬 nice
It's nice to see a uk moto vlogger that isn't always riding too safe, it can get hella boring. Fun to see a bike being pushed and seeing how I'll probably end up riding once I get my mt07
Thank you man, first time I've actually had someone say something nice about the wheelies lmao
@@ReevyMotovlogs No problem, fun to see people having fun on a bike.
love a reevy video to pick me up during work
Cheers man, I need something to pick me up, been a shit week lol
Yes your back!!
Great topic too!
Yes! Thank you!
Yes intro wheelie on point!
You know it!
Nice stuff Reevy 😀😱
Glad you enjoyed it
I Like to see the wheelies but i would love to see videos of you cornering that mt 07 too ❤️
Coming soon!
I'm here for the the motovlogs but deffo gassed for the tarantula vids haha
Legend!
Lol when I get mine I need to start power wheeling first but then hopefully clutch up. Just nervous about the brakes because alot of riders say they lack feel
My back brake feels solid tbh also power wheelies are actually not the best way to learn in my opinion, you have less control. Just be careful and have fun :)
Great video as usual! Do you think you can take us on some twisties?
If the road is dry, definitely :)
I definitely agree with you. My 600 which is around 70bhp doesn't intimate me anymore
My MT was kinda scary at first but didn't take me long to ride it like I stole it 😂
wow that car at 3:36 at the end of the wheelie got me shitting my pants, you did well to put that front wheel on the ground early 😅
Luckily I know these roads like the back of my hand lol knew there was a turning there since I was taking it 😉
If you can ride you can ride bro. Don’t matter what size it is. Just have to be sensible I’d say but that’s easier said than done 🤣🙈... easy to get throttle happy lol. Good content and quality as usual my dude. Ride safe bro. When we riding 🤷♂️
Saying that I've had friends that can ride a 125, jumped on my MT and I literally couldn't watch it was so bad 🤣 depends on the person tbh but for the average rider I'd say yeah, if you can ride a 125 it shouldn't be an issue. As for meeting up no idea man, I get DMs constantly asking to meet. Probably organize something soon :)
Reevy know what you mean some people you just have to close your eyes with and best not to watch 🤣. No worries fella. Ride safe and keep it coming 👊
Ride safe alwayss my idol
Thank you John, you too man! :)
I’ve dreamed about having my own mt07, and you inspire me with your vids! Keep it up man. 🤚 fr Philippines
@@vinceyaboy2374 Appreciate that bro, this was my dream bike too for years, I still can't believe I own one :) hope you get one too!
When you had your MT-125 did you have any major or any corrosion issues? Ive heard they have bad corrosion and wanted to see if you had any? Im looking at doing my CBT next year i don't wanna ride a 50cc so i'm going to wait till i can ride a 125. Any info on the MT-125 would me much appreciated :) Great video btw
I only had the 125 for a few months or so and it was already a few years old I think with no noticable signs of rust, same with the 07, the 2014 models seem to be the best when it comes to rust, the newer models seem to be the worst.
@@ReevyMotovlogs Thank you mate 👍
I bought a 2018 mt07 it’s coming restricted but ecu, any idea how I would go about de-restricting it?
No idea when it comes to ecu restriction, I know a garage would be able to do it or maybe you would be able to do it at home, I'm sure there's tutorials out there on how to do it :)
It would be nice to c longer vids now and then mayb like 10min
Glad you want longer videos man, definitely when the weather clears up :)
What would be ur next bike? And would it be naked or Supersport
Might even be a supermoto :)
Two uploads in one day 🤪 one on here and one on other channel
In the process of editing another one 😂
Reevy nice one 😎😎
Cool hobby , I've loads of reptiles 🙂
Same here! I use to work in a zoo and had lizards, snakes and a bunch of other pets at one point.
Thought I'd try something a bit more out of my comfort zone lol
What brake levers are those? They look nice mate!
MZS levers from Amazon :)
Is the restrictor plate the only thing u have to remove to unlock full power? (Have a 2014 model) I see allot of people saying different stuff about intake stacks and ecu flashes aswell....
@@mattisdecat7876 yeah mines the 2014 model, just take one screw out and lift the plate up. Depends on where you are though, some countries do it with the ECU and some dealers in certain places do too.
I’m from Belgium and bought an original a2 bike, so i hope it came out of the factory with only that plate. Ur one came as a full license bike originally?
@@mattisdecat7876 that's how they all come here.
going to start calling you spiderman 😂
Some people already do, apparently I sound like Peter Parker... I don't hear it personally lol
@@ReevyMotovlogs 😂 well he is the best Spiderman so take it as a compliment 😂. Just pull a wheelie and say "it's pizza time" 😂
125 to your first big bike is the biggest adrenaline rush ever as its likely the greatest jump in power you will ever deal with.
The CC isn't the thing to worry about though. Its about horsepower and torque. Going from a 125 to an R6 is probably not a great idea. Its so aggressively tuned in the horsepower department and its a bike that wants you to thrash it.
In my opinion, first big bikes should be a middle weight allrounder like an MT07 or ER-6F ect even then you need to drive it sensibly (at least when others are around) rather then biting off more then you can chew. At least until you have some experience
Yup, even though an MT-07 is a 700 an R6 would rinse it 😂
Do you reckon you could of started on a 70p had you bene old enough to do your direct access?
I reckon I would've been alright starting on this but at the same time I think it would've taken me a lot longer to get use to riding. I'm glad I learnt on a 125 tbh
@@ReevyMotovlogs that's fair, I'm about to sit my mod 2 for my a license as I'm 24 nearly 25 and was debating a mt07 or getting a bit of experience on a 300/400 I just don't wanna spend 5k on a bike to outgrow it in a few months 😂.
@@Kieranp96 You would regret going for anything smaller, I can do my A license a few months before my 24th 😁
@@ReevyMotovlogs I've never rode a bike "legally" but I do drive so I've got all my road senses, just gona do what I can won't be starting on a super sport that's for sure 😂.
@@Kieranp96 Yeah I've never liked sports bikes tbh, not really bothered about speed or looks too much, mainly just want something fun. Naked bikes are perfect and they wont hurt your back. If I was a speed freak though I'd love an R6 to race about on lol but I'm more of a supermoto / naked bike kinda guy.
Have you ever ridden a 390 duke? How would you compare the MT-07 A2 restricted to that as the 390 is the only bigger bike I have ever ridden 😂
Never ridden one but I've raced one lol it's definitely slower that's for sure. if you haven't seen JBL Motovlogs before he will be able to tell you since he went from a 390 to the MT-07
Reevy ah alright cheers mate. I’m trying so hard to decide if it’s worth the £1500 different 😂
Did you not think about get an unrestricted A2 bike like MT-03? Or did you just go straight for MT-07? I definitely would like a bike that would beat my gf 390 haha
@@user-pl6hy3km6s Definitely worth the difference.
@@user-pl6hy3km6s The dealer told me the MT-03 would get boring quick and he's not wrong. I'm actually use to the MT-07's power now to a point where it's not crazy exciting but it's still really fun.
All comes down to the person. I went strait from my yzf 125 to my gsxr 750. Best choice I made.
When it's working that is 😉 only joking haha is the bike alright now mate?
@@ReevyMotovlogs nearly there were just going trough the loom and waiting on parts. Couple weeks maybey
@@Bk_MxLife Hopefully it's all sorted after that. Gutted for you man, I've been having bad luck lately too.
@@ReevyMotovlogs I no yer seen that with the glass cases. Can only get better right 😂
Is it 35kw restricted?
On paper it is.
@@ReevyMotovlogs aaaah ;)
I went from nothing to a mt07 n I was fine
Never rode in my life did my direct access corse n jumped straight on the 07
I went from a 250 Ninja to a 1133 Indian Scout. It wasn't bad at all.
Guess it really depends on the person, especially here in the UK, if you're young you have to start on a 50cc - 125cc and the amount of deaths that happen when people upgrade is bad.
I've also had friends that can ride a 125, jump on my MT and it looks like they've never been on a bike in their life 😂
Even though the MT-07 is a 700 if you compare that to an R6 for example, there's a big difference power wise, I'd say your Indian scout is probably super chill to ride, you wouldn't really be thrashing that through twisties like you would on an R6, just all depends on the rider and the bike I'd say.
You got some good content btw, keep it up :)
@@ReevyMotovlogs Thank you so much for checking out my channel. :)
I can understand that some people have trouble moving up in size. I guess I was just super careful and probably because I was scared. I didn't try to ride it like I could my 250. Everything about it was different. Mid controls to forward controls were definitely something to get used to. I'd like to try a sport bike bigger than the 250. Guess that's where a real comparison would come in to play.
hello :)
Hey!!
Still alive yeah?
