@@PackHackerHey Tom I seen a review where you took out a pair of foldable sunglasses I really liked but you never named them. I really liked them can you please give me the name?🙏😥
I love my black Gore-Tex messinger bag for EDC. Fully zipped and clipped, external water bottle holder, w shoulder and hip belt (both removable). And..., it comes with a handle so I can carry as a soft briefcase. Extremely light, tough, expandable.
The wallet is a game-changer! I got mine about a year ago and I have not looked at other wallets since. Plus, it survived a wash cycle intact - talk about durability! Can't imagine going back to my old one!
After watching so many of your videos, I finally went on my first 4-day-city trip with a backpack. Obviously my system is still in dire need of improvement. 😂 I packed most things into a 30l backpack. I didn't stuff it to the brim. Used the straps to make it more "compact". As "personal item" I took my Kanken backpack which also served as EDC. On top of that, I put the uniqlo sling so I could have my valuables near me as it was a city trip. Overall, I used almost all items I packed apart from the medical emergency items. 😅
I’ve found it takes alot of practice to work out which things are important to you whist traveling. I wouldn’t be working so my tec requirement are lower but I have health issues which mean I need to take more just in cases so a flare doesn’t ruin a trip. I use a walking aid so backpack are perfect so I still have a hand free for my phone or tickets but it mean I feel the weight more so slimming down anything option is important.
For me a sling is more about not LOSING my stuff once im home. I haven't gotten yelled at for leaving a chap stick in my pocket when it went through the wash, and I no longer lose my keys in the house. It keeps my normal pocket essentials together for quick store runs and i can easily carry a granola bar or two for my kids and an emergency diaper for my toddler without needing a full backpack just to go to the park.
For ear plugs, I like the Happy Ears plugs as they reusable, snug fit, and blocks out sound effortlessly. Great for long flights or long naps at noisy places
I bought one of the TomToc Slings, the smaller one made of Xpac. I didn't like it. I put the stuff in i wanted to carry, it wasnt much, phone, keys, wallet etc and it felt so heavy and big. I stuff my stuff back into my EastPak The One and it was small and fine. I reckon the bag had too much padding and dividers and such for me, felt like i was carrying more bag than stuff. 🤣
i just haven’t gotten to the point i’m ok with spending this much on a sling, i think it’s more because i carry too much day to day and would just rather have a book bag. but i also LOVE slings for vacation especially in cities.
The charger shown in the video is actually the Anker 747. It comes with the silicone stabilizer and fits the charger exactly. I don't believe it is available separately.
Hi Tom and team.. Love your website and videos. I’m a sport/sci teacher with a 80 min bike/train commute. Love the advice and tweaks for to-and-from work and a day in PE/Sci teaching Aer FitPack3 XPac / Aer CitySling/ Aer Day Sling/ Aer Tech Folio 16”…..”old” Aer FitPack 1 now for 20lb rucking. All the best David, 61 Melbourne, Australia.
I'd love to see different set ups for these sling options, Like options for laptops, or tablets, gaming gear centered or camera or drone centered and so on
There might come a point where that's a bit heavy for one shoulder carry? I'm not very strong I suppose, after a phone, wallet, battery bank, SAK, Olight, keys and mints etc I've about reached my limit. I couldn't imagine putting a laptop in a sling.
Probably not. There are water pouches that fit in snug places (hydrapak stow) - but then you'll have the weight of the water. I do have that as an option for city adventures - when you can top it off often.
I really struggle to find the perfect tech kit to hold mine and my partners items. They are too big or too small. I need to consider the Pro Kit I have a different aer kit and it is good but not perfect.
honestly Aer stuff is garbage. i bought several of their items and ended up returning them. Instead can recommend peak design for pouches, Ace (japanese brand) for backpacks and orbitgear for slings and stuff
yeah none of the things you said work for normnal people...i mean a sling...where will i put my grocery? and i will always go and buy myself stuf whenever i go anywhere...Also the ID for Romania is almost double the size of a credit card so it wont fit in anything you show...so its useless from the start. Do your documentation before saying here is for everyone because it isnt for people that dont have credi card size ID. its clear you are not a tech engineer, if you where you would have made is smaller and easyer, and cheaper without using brand names. but you use brand names which do the same thing and are manufactured in the same place as cheap things, its only a placebo effect.
Hey, go easy. Sure, this video covers an EDC for the presenter. He's merely offering suggestions on what has worked for him. What EDC do you use? Share your experiences like other folks have done here. Make a positive contribution to the conversation.

I bet a periodic "What's In My Sling" feature would be fun! A good way to spotlight the Pack Hacker crew that isn't usually on camera, too.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.

I have the tomtoc sling but that little aer product is nice! The strap and how it sits on your pack. Stop selling me stuff :D
😂😂😂
Hi Tom! Did the Day Sling 3 bump out the Bellroy as your favorite?
Thank you Tom. Always love to see videos of you in it
🤙🤙🤙
3:50 something useful I discovered while using AER slings. AirTags fit snug behind their logo tag inside of the sling. 😉👍
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
Do you have a link to the suction cup for the anker charger?

aer day sling 3 is an immediate loser for me since the strap isn't detachable / reversible. It's not great for opposite shoulder carry
Nice wallet....segway...saw those Peso bills...Shoutout from Manila!
🤙🤙🤙
Did you discontinue the nomatic refillable pray vial? When I click on the link, it's nowhere to be found.
What are those sunglasses? Looking for a good flat pair for bags.
Nomatic refillable travel spray vial seems to be discontinued. Know of a good replacement?
Perhaps I’ve missed the discussion in previous videos, but what do you carry in the pockets of your pants/shorts?
As least as possible
Can the centre compartment fit an a5 notebook? If not, do you have any recommendations?
Could we have a women’s edition EDC video ?
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
I’ve been after the Normadic spray bottle for ages. But for some unknown reason it’s not available in the UK or Europe which is very annoying.
Same here. If anyone has suggestions for alternatives for those of us in the EU or UK that would be much appreciated
Anker 747 right? Sadly cant find the type G version of it
I aleays like to carry a small flashlight. My fav for planes are the squeeze lights. I hook mine to an old neck lanyard to wear.
These updates always hurt my wallet 😆 That looks like Papago Park in Phoenix at 1:16 and Sunset Point rest stop at 2:25!
🤙🤙🤙
I like the Pacsafe slings and gear. The Peak Design stuff is also top notch!
Nice EDC! Thank You for Sharing
Thanks for watching! 😃
What is the link to the suction cup power socket?
That charger comes with it
4:20 is that a Philippines currency?
Can anyone recommend a bag like the Aer shown here (or maybe a bit smaller) that can attach to your belt to wear on your hip? Thanks.
What is the minimalist wallet at 5:45? Don’t see it in the description.
RE:FORM RE:02
Hi, what is the brand of the minimalist wallet with dedicated coin compartment. Thanks
Hi @lilThing101, this is the RE:FORM RE:01 packhacker.com/travel-gear/reform/re01-coin-sleeve/
Are those Philippine Pesos inside your wallet?
Yes! 😁
Spotted those too 😜

I cannot get into the sling vibe. I did buy one. I ended up giving it to my granddaughter. I am just a fanny pack girl. Lol.
I must say I did find a really good one from lululemon. It is a 2 L and it holds everything plus the kitchen sink and I got it on sale for 35 bucks.
Something that gota an iPad 10inch?
5:55 IDR10,000 note right there.
The aer sling fits a 0,5l water bottle?
Probably not.

Spot on as always!
Nice to see a bunch Philippine bill. How often do you visit the Philippines?
I bought an airfly pro only to realize it's laggy.
Did he just say “big Italian nose like me” 🤌🏼
The EDC community on UA-cam are all about multi-tools. I'm surprised you don't even carry a Swiss Army Knife!
Who else checked their phone at 00:21 😅
😂😂😂
I would sub some pepto bismol, ibuprofen, and benadryl for that pack of cards

That’s rupiah
"My everyday carry gear hasn't changed much over the years"

Wonder why
Who the hell still uses AirBnb?
What do you use? 🧐
