Thanks for the review! I was looking for fenders and saw the KBD's and then found your video. Apparently these are made (injection mold) right on premises at KBD in Chino, CA.
I appreciate this video so much! Ordered 2 sets after watching this. Was looking at these fenders for mine and my girlfriends jeep and your the only review with them being so new!
@@jrlaflame6572 Hey! They are okay out of the box, I would recommend plasti-dipping them or coating them in something! Other than that, I would recommend them!
Just got mine yesterday. Did you have the inners on first or do you think it matters? My inners from Ace aren't here yet so wondering if flares should go on first or wait for inners. Thanks
These look nice wow. Sure plastic, but actually reading that the metal fenders big issue is that if they absorb enough of an impact, they;ll distribute that impact to that sheet metal they're attached to causing major body damage. So then you have damaged expensive metal fenders to replace, and now body damage to deal with. With these, they'll get scuffed and break, and ya you can just buy new ones. Prob need to go through 3-4 sets of these to match the cost of 1 set of poison spyders, etc.
The KBD are the best Jeep fenders on the market, indestructible on the trail. They make them for the JK, JL and the Gladiator will be released anytime now. All USA made too!!!
also when you pull out the stock fenders does the inner fender come out with that too? Do you have to put the inner fender back on if that is the case?
I’m going with these! Thanks for the review. What brand side rails are those?? I’ve been looking for some nice ones and you have exactly the look I’m going for!
Sorry I’m late to ask a question, I’m wanting to order them tonight... do they require any drilling or do they use holes from the original fenders? Thanks appreciate it 👍🏻
FYI...you probably cut it off already, but anyone that buys these: That section he talks about cutting of, is for mounting an LED side marker light. In some states you have to have one to be legal.
True. For me, in SC, its not a big deal. If I were to mount a side marker I still think I would rather mount it somewhere else. Probably on the inner fender somewhere. That little peace bothered me to much to leave it.
Nice build! I have a 2016 Hard Rock Rubi that looks almost identical. I was going to go with the Rough Country steel tube flares, but I like these better and my wallet will like them too. What brand of shelf is that in the rear?
The rackbis from Rusty's Off Road, I really like their products. These flares are holding there shape well but they have faded. I'm thinking about "rhino" lining them.
Top is a Rampage tonneau top. I've had it about a year and have been very happy with it. It leaks a little but I've had 13 jeeps and they all leaked in some way.
I still have them on the Jeep. They faded, and I sprayed them Herculiner, but I still have to keep some form of tire shine on them. They have kept their shape well, tho.
I would not recommend painting them, I tried at a paint shop, said they were one of the hardest things they have painted, soakedup paint like rubber and have lots of air bubbles under the lip
Yes, it has a 3.25 Rusty's Offroad lift and 37" tires. Stay tuned for an update on these flares, I sprayed them with Herculiner because they were faded.

Nice quick overview. Ordered a set when the video ended.
Just picked up a set today. Waiting patiently for delivery.
Thanks for posting. I have had my eye on these.
Thanks for the video. Been going back and forth on these. They are not too expensive but look great. I think I will try a set.

Thanks man. I'm still happy with them, they seem to be doing well.
@@daledubose3032 couldnt agree more have had mine installed for about 2 weeks and I'm loving them!
Mine are on the way. I'm getting them painted because I saw they can fade a bit.
Thanksfor the review. I was looking at these for my 01 TJ. I'm still not sure about the finish but they look nice.
Thanks for posting! I’ve been eyeing these for a couple weeks.
Just bought them! Thanks for the review!😎💪🏽
How are they coming along? Thinking about buying a set.

Really nice set up! Because of this review I just placed my order. Thank You. What size/brand Lift are you running?
3.25 Rustys Off Road
Hows the lift been holding up ?
Jeep looks great. what's the actual width in inches of both front and rear fenders? thanks
Thanks for the review. Very insightful.
Sick build
Nice review 👍. What did you do with the side marker light??
Now that you’ve had them for a little while, still satisfied? I ordered some a couple weeks ago.
They are holding up well but they do fade.
Dale Dubose how fast or bad of a fade?
@@Fuzzybacon1512 not terrible. Not to the point that I want to paint them, but they are paintable.
Dale Dubose thank you sir

Love em This the look i want for my Jeep jk those stock flares are 🤢 i can’t stand em

Mine only took a month and a half. Very nice ppl but it took forever for them to come

My rocker guards are factory 10th Anniversary Rubicon.
No wonder I couldn’t find them. Now I’ll see if I can. Thanks!
@@zachleftwich6638 Barricade Off Road makes an exact replica of these called "Enhanced Rubi Rails." They are exclusive to Extreme Terrain.

No drilling required. They light up with the existing holes

How are the fenders holding up after a year??
Can stock front inner fenders be used
What is the soft top you have on and where did you get it? I have a Mopar top, but I like how yours looks.
Rampage trailview tonneau. Love it.
How have these handled wear and tear? Any significant fading? Are you still happy with the purchase?
They have held there shape well. They did fade, I painted them with a spray on liner after about a year.
Just ordered these today. Do you have to go with an aftermarket fender liner or can you still keep the plastic junk thats from the factory?
If you keep the factory you will need to cut it to fit. I didn't even try, I already had my inners from when I was running cut stock flares.
Just for comparison for my Jeep, what is your wheel size? Lift?
Thank you for video.
Rusty's Offroad 3.25 lift, 37" Yokahamas on Raceline 17x9 wheels with -12 offset. Thanks.
I've been thinking about these thanks for posting. By the way what top are you running?
Top is a Rampage tonneau top. I've had it about a year and have been very happy with it. It leaks a little but I've had 13 jeeps and they all leaked in some way.
How do the look now and did all four come in or you have to buy front and rear separately

About how long did did it take to receive them
I really don't remember, it was about 5 years ago. I don't think it took long though.
Great video thanks!
Can these be powder coated?
No, they are plastic. But they can be painted.
@@daledubose3032 yeah I’ve got the same color Jeep as yours ima try my best to find that color and paint em
Hey man how was the install, I know you said easy but just wondering. Mine should be in sometime next week
Install is easy. Last screw on rear flare at back of Jeep will not go in. I left it out. It would go in but you can't get to it to screw it in.
Did the fade by the sun or do they still look new?
Still look good
What size lift/tires are you running if I may? Trying to judge the gap I may or may not have.
37" Yokohamas with a Rustys Offroad 3.25" lift.
Great sir thanks for your time.
Did you change gears for the 37’s??
@@zachleftwich6638 not yet, still running the stock 4.10s. It's ok but new gears are on the list.
What's back spacing on your wheels?
17x9 with -12mm backspacing. 37 in tires.
1 Yese and how have been so far ? Any de colored v
They have held their shape well but they are faded. I'm thinking about painting them with some type of bed liner.
Any fairing or warping?
No warping but they did fade. After about a year I sprayed them with Herculiner and thats been good for about 9 months now.
Who makes your inner fenders? Thanks
The front is Artec, I do not have any in the rear.
How long was the shipping?
I dont remember but I dont think it took very long. Typical shipping time, a few days, maybe a week.
would that material be easy to paint and color match my jeep?
Yes. It is similar to the "plastic" bumper covers on most cars these days. But you can probably find something on their website about painting them.
I would not recommend painting them, I tried at a paint shop, said they were one of the hardest things they have painted, soakedup paint like rubber and have lots of air bubbles under the lip
What’s the width on them in inches, are the rear about stock width?
Not sure exactly but they are narrower than stock.
How have they held up?
There is some fade but structurally they're great.
Is your Jeep lifted?
Yes, it has a 3.25 Rusty's Offroad lift and 37" tires. Stay tuned for an update on these flares, I sprayed them with Herculiner because they were faded.
Any drilling required?
No. They come with little plastic inserts that go into the factory fender holes and the supplied screws screw into those inserts. Very easy.
Attachment method? Rivnuts or what?
