I just bought the MOTO off of ur review. That thing is unbelievable. The first razor i bought was the Leaf razor, that ive been using for about 6 months. It took me about 10-15 min and it was a bloodbath every time, no matter how i adjust its aggresiveness. I used the MOTO today for the first time with the Head Slick and Wow. It took me literally about 3-4 mins to shave my entire head (3 days of hair growth). It was the smoothest and easiest shave ever. No cuts, no bumps and no pain. I really recommend this for anyone who is a beginner like me. Am probably going to buy the Goldfinger sometime soon in the future!!
Thanks for the review and that beard is majestic as hell.

Thanks for the great review of the ATX vs Moto.
I've bought the Moto first and I had the same problem as you.

I used an ATX for over ten years and recently switched to a Moto Goldfinger. I haven't been disappointed with the Moto shaver. I am a two pass shaver. After the first pass with the Moto and Head Slick, I switch to a two blade cartridge razor and Shave Butter to hit the trouble spots and areas missed. The entire process in under 15 minutes.

The ATX was my first Headblade product. I've always absolutely loved it. I later went back and tried the Classic and Sport, and liked those as well. The Moto though, it's on a whole new level, and is definitely my overall favorite headshaver.

First like and comment! I recently started using the 5 blade razor from Wal-Mart (Equate brand) with the flew ball, similar to the Gillette fusion. I have to admit that I was skeptical about using a Wal-Mart razor to shave my head, but it works great!

I believe that I will go with the Moto when the time comes and it's not too far off either. I have not started shaving my head just yet but I do get an all over buzz cut with no guard. I did try using one of my DE safety razors on my head once and I did not like the resulting razor burn and my head looked like I had the measles. But that is my usual skin reaction with a DE safety razor though. My skin breaks out in bumps all over with DE's and straight razors.

I'm actually a woman who just loves the look of a smoothly shaved bald head. So with NO medical reasons for doing so but simply for personal style/preference reasons, I'm going from long hair to no hair next month. (December has special significance for me to begin my bald woman journey then.) I've been watching product review videos here on UA-cam for a while now & considering cost, safety, and closeness of shave as well as what could I do without a heavy visual element while shaving, your HeadBlade video reviews have really impressed me. This video in particular where you compare the Moto with the ATX. I'm thinking all you said about the Moto being an excellent starter razor for newcomers to head shaving combined with a comment on the Headblade website that you don't need to use a mirror that it might be a great place for me to begin. Let me clarify a few things. First, I have very poor eyesight & can't really use a mirror for any sort of detail work so I'd be shaving by touch nearly exclusively to get what I'llw ant to be a baby's butt smooth kind of completely bald head. Also, since I do have rather abundant long hair right now, for the cutting & first shave I'm looking to find a good local barber to do the deed for me, after which I'll be doing it myself. I live alone & my hair tends to grow quite fast so I'm sure I'll be a daily head shaver. Any suggestions or recommendations you might be able to offer me, I'd really appreciate it. This is the phase where I'm gathering supplies/purchasing products I'll need to begint his new chapter in my life where I get to (at age 54) start living my true Bald Woman identity. Like I said, I just think bald heads are super attractive & it's time to start letting the beautiful Bald Woman inside me come out & live my Truth without hair up top. Thanks so much for your videos, very much appreciated & very helpful & beneficial. :-)

I started using a Headblade about 15 years ago and fell in love with it! Recently I broke the finger grip and attempted to replace it, but discovered they had changed the design from front mounted blades to rear mounted which I hate!
First, now I am routinely cutting or nicking myself using the new design!
2nd, I have a lot of cartridges that fit the adapter on the old design!
3rd, is there a cartridge adapter for use on the new design? AND will this help with my dome scrapes?
4th, still have the old broken Headblade. Is there a glue that will hold the two parts together?
Currently have 3 round bandaids on my dome. After about 4 weeks using the new design I hate it! But if I can not correct the problem, thinking of going to an electric shaver designed for bald heads! May not be as smooth, but in my opinion safer!
Any help or advice is appreciated! Or if anyone has an old Headblade from original design, I am interested!

Now it's too strong for my facial skin, but it gave the closest baby soft shave I have ever had. Better than a straight razor from an old barber. I plan to start trying it out on my head the next long weekend that comes up. Also listen to the directions. No razors near where you use it for 24 hours before or after. It will give you a razor burn from hell.

Done it for years just get Gillette fusion razor, some decent shave gel and don't let your hair get too long and it's easy , no worries, thankyou very much. You won't get closer and no faffing about.

is there any real difference between this razor and the razor can get at any pharmacy?

The motion/how you shave is the major difference. Blades are similar to other razors, but not compatible.

isn't he bleeding on the back of his head where the "wrinkle" is? f, those razors where you can have 5 in 1 electric shaver, and change the blades only once per year...no need for the water, no need for the foam...nothing

Jump on the traditional wetshaving bandwagon, my man. You'll never look back. A lot of great beard companies also make great soaps and creams.

I love wet shaving and safety razors as well, and they're definitely cheaper in the long run. But man, it takes me a good 20 mins to shave my head with a safety razor. Where as Headblade gives me just as good, if not a better shave, in 5-7 minutes, with no chance of cuts.

Whats wrong with using a normal razor? That’s what I have been shaving my head with for the last 20 years. This just feels stupid.....have to change the grip for different areas.....and it must be messy every time you rinse it out....

    • @NoBSBeardReviews
      @NoBSBeardReviews  2 роки тому

Nothing wrong with a normal razor if that works for you. I’ve actually gone back to a normal razor. Still fun to use a Headblade from time to time.

If you check the advert from the makers, you actually put your ring finger into the device and this allows you to swivel back and forward or glide over your dome head so you can make several passes very quickly and put the pressure you want, basically you should be able to shave your head 3-5 day growth fairly fast within 10-15 minutes or less making it much faster then a standard razer. This is the theory side anyhow, yet to test it!
