- In this film i explain my go to kit for bushcrafting in the outdoors and my 3 luxury items whish i was tagged to show by Mark Bailey. Bushcraft and Adventure is what we live for. Myself and Billy dog love nothing more than being outside testing our skills in any environment and we don't mind a little filming along the way on some of our trips. Top job Rick.... great video mate 👍. I know what you mean about them midges in Scotland mate..... they're a bloody nightmare!! Decent kit load out Rick. I love them cheap green tarps. I have been using mine today for dragging rocks about. But it also goes on the ground from time to time if things are soaking. For the money they are a bargain. Yeah I would love another Rab down bag. I had one years ago when I was winter climbing and camping. But for the money, the elite range of bags are brilliant. The plates are also good for wafting the fire as well. Well when there's no food on it anyway lol. I agree about the mat and filer Rick. I would always stick them in the pack as well. Aye those builders tarps are great for stuff like that, cheap as chips n hardcore. Yes I reckon Mark will definitely bring something different to the table. Thanks Mark hope you've managed to get a couple of trips down to your camp and get a few bits done. I might break the fly rod out again this week and catch me some trout 🙂.

Oh for sure I’d have to have the mat mate what with my dodgy back, I do like a mixture of comfort and roughing it.

Fantastic video Rick and very interesting to see what you carry. I laughed out load when you mentioned the titanium stick 🤣🤣 I thought the same when I seen the Instagram post.
I made a first aid video yesterday to go out in a few days and already after listening to the few bits you mentioned I need to update it so cheers for that.

Ultra light folding chair.
All three of those items are simply comfort items but they made the cut after cleared out all my kit to what I deem bare essentials for camping, hiking and bushcraft.
Do you not have a torch or headlamp? Or did I just miss it.
I have a good powerful head torch in winter and just a small torch for the summer months which I rarely use . Thos 3 items of yours are great comfort items. The fold down chairs are a great addition and make camp life much more comfortable 🙂👍.

Fantastic video Rick. Seems like a reasonable amount of things to take and doesn't seem to be a big pack for it. Love how you stuffed that round bottom bag to the gills :). Glad that belt pouch is performing well. Billy was definitely keeping an eye on something. Take care brother.

As a person who's lived in remote rural Alaska for decades, I've never thought about the term and concept of "bushcraft" until recently. As it turns out, I LOVE bushcraft! I've always packed "stuff and essentials" with me and it's videos like this one that really inspires me to up my bushcraft game. Awesome set of gear! I'm learning I need a bigger bag. I'm always trying to stuff my gadgets and needs into a tiny backpack! LOL Great video, my friend! Cheers from the middle of nowhere Alaska!
