That bug-net looks a cracking piece of kit, I'll have to check to see if they do a two person version.
Stunning place to camp that, wish we had flat wooded areas like that down here.
Cheers Simon, aye its great n light as a fella but still seems quite tough. I've had it for a few years now but obviously only use it in the midge season.
This one is a 2 man one lol. But as usual a 2 man one is a 1 man one 🙄. You'd get 2 in it but I doubt you'd get patch in too 🙂. Perfect for me n Billy n our kit .
Yeh were lucky with some of these woodlands and that ones a belter. I've never seen a human footprint in there. Just a few game trails . It's been managed in the past and some of the big old trees are ring barked from a long time ago. So not the safest on a windy day .

I do like those mesh setups. I'm repairing a cheap Hammock that I seriously ripped the mossie net on trying to be clever and I'll sew some tabs on it and use it like you did last year on the ground. Sad thing is that I'm reluctant to go out currently as the long wet grass is crawling with Ticks, not so bad for me in my boiler suit, but for four dogs even with anti-tick treatment, the buggers still keep latching on and it spoils it. When it starts to get hotter and DRIER then they won't be anywhere near as active as they are now. I detest parasites of all types. Did Billy get two cans of meat, looked like those large 1.2 kg cans in front of the morning fire.
I'm with you about the ticks Robert. Horrible little buggers. Billy seems to have got away without picking any up this weekend. Yeh I like the hammock pitched on the deck. It's pretty similar really to this one. They're great in the warmer months with a tarp flying high over them 👌.
One of those tins was mine 🙂. I chuck em int fire at night so Billy can't start rooting in em and cut his tongue. I then get em out int morning when cool n crush em and stick em in my pack 👍.
Be cool when you get it repaired n modified. Can't beat modding yer own gear.

Ah mint Mike 👌. You have a top camp mate. I love the Banshee 200. My old one just needs a bit of seem seal at the moment but I must gave had it 10 years or so and it's had some hammer. It's still solid. All my other tents have bent poles n damage from poor weather but the Banshee has been solid 👌.

beautiful spot there~! i'm never able to find ones like that, that havent been ruined by the muggles already. like the mesh inner and definitely good to keep the bugs out! billy had a good chill too, bet he gave off some eggy trumps though..
Aye he likes a good chilled out camp n an early night sometimes 😴. Was a mint night. Perfect relaxing Friday night . Yeh the mesh tent works great. I like it. Good piece of kit for sure.

I might get up in the hills around Loch Enoch , Valley n Neikeldrin n do a bit of trout fishing for a couple of nights but I also fancy the canoe . Not been back to Loch Doon for a while. I'm tempted to nip to the bushcraft show for a day too 🤔. Too many adventures, too little time lol 😆. Have you got any adventures lined up Joan ? @@RickTOutdoorAdventure1969 not at moment as trying to get everything I need to go camping near we’re I stay as I don’t have a car and can’t drive so I cycle to places near me but only day trips till I can get a tent etc that I need well if you do have a wonderful time and I’ll look forward to seeing the videos

Fantastic camp in a beatiful part of England.Simlpe set up but done right.Sad news abouts senders,i only do up to grade 3 because i like living,way to risky what some of those boys do.Well rik and billy look forward to seeing your adventures,im on me loch sheil circuit in two weeks.Great vid as ever cheers.
Fantastic David, it'll be a great trip. We had some amazing campsites out there. Really great trip. I'll definitely be doing it again sometime. Aye its a risky business but I've had a mate die on grade 3 too. Wrong place ,wrong time n a spray deck stuck on an underwater obstruction 😕. Used to love the adventure of the steeper rivers but there's Fantastic adventures to be had in the canoe with Billydog and a barrel of food n a fishing rod 😀.

It was definitely grand Kirsty. Its been a beautiful weekend hasn't it. Billy n myself were up ont Moors towards Darwen Tower at first light today . Bloomin gorgeous.

Looked a beautiful forest to camp in, an that DD Mesh tent looked alright to be fair 👌, might take a look at one, certainly looks wider than the Snugpak Ionosphere, which we're currently using.

I really want this pathfinder mesh tent so thanks for this and the other videos. Do you think this would fit well doing a more closed tarp pitch? Like a plow point or a more closed a-frame?
@davidaxman yeh definitely David, I've used it in both those set ups. It's quite long but it'll fit under a Plough point. I've used it that way with canoe paddles setting up the front of Plough etc. It's a great piece of kit n very lightweight which is always good 🙂👍

Tidy away that Rick. I have something like that I got last year just at the end of September i think. Nice, with Billy Dog. I have an axe but it's big and to be honest, don't really use it, apart from splitting wood. Do you reckon anything to the R rating thing Rick? I'm not it's that dependable - you hear stories don't you, of folk buying right expensive gear and freezing in the night. My kit is cheap and cheerful but I know it works, much is ex military. I'm a fat old lad so getting cold isn't really an issue.
Haha lol , brilliant Mark, can't beat a bit of fat on the old bones to keep us warm. I'm a bit the same Mark with the gear. Just get something that does thd job n use it forever until it drops to pieces so havnt messed around with R ratings and I wouldn't pay big money for a sleeping pad in a million years lol. It's only the last year or so I've ended up doubling up on a few bits of kit cause I've had some stuff sent to me and I usually give that to my lads. Can't beat some of that ex army gear can ya . If my bones didn't ache in the night I'd still.be on a foam mat permanently 😀. Good these mesh tents though. I definitely like em n light as a feather too to carry.
