Its all very well reading books and knowing theory but we need to train those Skills. Sometimes a plan doesn't always work but we still learn and next time we are at an advantage. Traps n snares for survival

Grand camp. Great lesson. Reminded me of the diagrams I see in scouting & bushcraft books. It was a great evening Rosie & I had a great evening in the hammock & around the fire on Friday too.

Great video Rick, I enjoy whatever you put out mate, don’t worry to much about repeating videos as you always seem to show something different. Take your closed of tarp set up simple but effective and it had me wondering how you’d done it, I think I’ve worked it out will have to have a play with my tarp in back garden. I particularly like the canoe videos you do, and the traps have been great I’m going to try the snare with the engine.

Thanks for this. I'm almost 60, and I've learned something new and useful watching this. I'm a complete biff when it comes to knots. I mean, totally. My brain sees folk weaving strings around, and it just scrambles. I'd be better off watching a Disney film about dancing spaghetti. But this poacher's knot? Even I'll be able to remember this! I can add it to my repertoire of shoelace, reef, and overhand knot... Thanks again, much appreciated.
@liammalarky3483 haha brilliant Liam, I know what ya mean lol. Its the wearing glasses for me nowadays lol. Does my head in 😆. My vision was bang on until I was about 50. Fishing rigs n lines are a nightmare nowadays without my specs 🙂. Aye its a beltin knot n works well.

Great camp Rick and Billy. I love the flexibility of a 3x3 and closing off the back from the wind was perfect. The rambo trap will keep as you say for another time and the snares are always quality practice. Thanks
@acnud Aye definitely 🙂👍. Always good to practice and aye the tarp worked well. I've used that setup in some pretty exposed terrain and it's done a good job 🙂. Like you say 3 x 3 tarps are great. Thanks fella, atb Rick n Billydog
