  • Hey Everyone,
    First off, I am still saving up for the new camera, so this episode is shot on the classic one. It works out well that I really love the look.
    Today is about tying up loose ends with both the TT and the E30. I feel like we have went from big job to big job and have been leaving behind a number of small jobs that need doing. Those smaller jobs add up, and at this point I need to take care of them so I am able to focus on bigger things.
    Thank you for watching, consider liking & subscribing for more.

    Small jobs became more and more important to me. Did all the big things and sat there. Did not bother with fixing the little things but everyday they were present and annoyed me. I have to say though, with years I increasingly liked things working as they should and having a car "complete". Modified sure, but complete nontheless. Now I'm back to enjoying the little fixes like swapping out all the interiour lights with warm white LEDs while repairing some light fixtures a previous owner managed to break. Details are so nice

    The story telling in your videos is fuxking next level! And your narrations make it feel like some kind of high end TV production. Nice work man

    Ha, this is exactly what I did recently on my TT. I unbolted the brake line support bracket and left the brake line intact while lowering the trailing arm to change the bushing. Great cinematography, btw. Although I am not speaking from first hand experience, but I heard that polyurethane bushes are not the greatest option unless all the bushes in the rear are changed to poly at the same time (upper and lower control arm bushes). This is because you don't want to have differential stiffness across the suspension system. Poly bushes have much less give in them compared to the rubber ones. if your control arms are allowed more flex side to side (which deflection they are designed to prevent), effective contact pressures at the bush socket can accelerate wear of the socket. When the poly bushes seize, the same firmness that makes for a great handling also means that road shocks and other loads are transferred directly without any damping. Just my two cents / two pennies.

    Ah, so like I told you, it’s possible to do the rear bushing without disconnecting the brake lines. ( And it’s seems that another guy told you the same ).
    You know that you have to do asap alignement, since the plate hold by the 4 bolts is moving right/left. It’s were alignment is set ;)

    • @HunterDirection
      @HunterDirection  3 місяці тому +1

      Your suggestion was spot on! I really appreciate all the advice and help! Totally saved me bleeding the brakes for no reason. And an alignment is 100% on the list haha. Thank you for the support

    As always, thank you for keeping the TT content coming. Random question, when you installed your fuel pump on the TT and swapped the hose barb over (my line was damaged so you may not have had to do this), how the heck did you get the corrugated fuel line over it?! 6mm lines are too small and 8mm lines too large... I was waiting on parts so tore out the interior to swap to a new carpet...these cars are a never-ending project. Good thing we tend to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. Cheers!
