This cake is the best. I thought that I was addicted to the choclate cake, but I was wrong. .. It's the red velvet one. 😮

I made this cake. I didn’t have a mixer but it still turned out ok. 👌Mine became purple because the red food dye i bought was not enough so i opted to add in another color instead. It was my first time making a cake so it was not perfect and my frosting in the middle was too thin (because i thought i should save A LOT to coat the outside but i ended up not using all of it so it was a huge waste of a good frosting really). But all in all, it was a yum cake! It was not dry at all and i’m just so happy that the very first cake i baked turned out good. Thanks Rachel! I’ve been making a lot of your recipes this quarantine and it has never once failed me even though i’ve never baked and cooked a lot before- im practically a beginner! Im really starting to think that your recipes are fool-proof! (Guys, try her Lasagna recipe it’s sooooooooooo freaking good- it’s THE BEST!) ❤️

I made the Red Velvet Cake for Valentine's Day! It came out really good although I need to bake it less than 30 minutes next time. My oven just must be hotter because I had dry areas otherwise most of it was very moist and tasted delicious! Also if you're like me and you want to ice the whole outside of the Cake as well as in between layers you may want to make extra frosting and use whatever is left over to decorate with. Thank you for the recipe it's amazing I have made several of your recipes and I love them all!!!
