the process is good but no grease will fix the leak ! you actually need a high temp sealant instead of that for that job to work ... sorry bro no troll here but you will see when the engine gets on high temps.
It worked. the car had no leak at all. when we did the valve job a couple months later we put in a new gasket with high temp silicone like we normaly do.
i never had any leaks there. The gaskets can be tricky on that point where you need to bend it over the front camshaft seal. Patience is key. You can use some grease but to be sure you can always throw on some liquid gasket 😅👍

Any leaks? I have changed mine a few times and it always seems to leak around the front camshaft cap. Maybe I’ll try the grease method

make sure you use high temperature sealant ..Do Not use grease! I am a owner of a 1984 volvo 240.
