This video reminds me of the time when I was learning how to cook. I had just bought the diet plan (created it on Next Level Diet) at the age of 22 and started preparing my own meals from the food I got in the plan. I was so motivated back then. I broke my barriers when it comes to amount of food I can eat in a day, resulting in noticeable gains for a newbie. @wdym? I haven't until this evening, and it's true, there are similarities. I just rewatched this one as well, for my own comparison, and they simply have different styles. I still prefer Noel's simplicity, it's a different transparency that translates through the lenses. I did take lots of notes from the Jeremy's video too, very informative. As the cheesy line goes, you learn something new every day.
For lentils, from a culture which still eats them a lot, try to soak them in water over overnight at least. Greatly helps with digestion and some side effects you might get, same with beans or other seeds in that family
@@lastnamefirst650 You also need your microbiome to get used to those foods. So eat small portions once in a while and raise the dose each time you're eating it, your system will then develop the right enzymes to prevent bloating.
Been eating this breakfast for a month, low cal salad and a fruit for lunch, and just shy of 1 cup rice w/ 5 oz chicken and 100 grams veggie of choice everyday. Along with upping my cardio work (gyms closed so decided to just run and cut) i'm down 15lbs. 15 lbs in a single month. I cant believe it and now i meal prep everything. Thanks Noel for making my life simpler, really appreciate it. I'm prepping for my first half marathon now and will be running a full marathon spring 2022. It's amazing how some simple advice and following through with it for just a short time can change your whole outlook on life. Like really appreciate your honesty and drive to see everyone reach their true potential. Again Thanks. Tips not in the video but i found made things easy for me. 1. The oven is your friend. cook a whole pack of chicken spiced how you want (im a sucker for cajun spice mix) at 400deg for 20 - 25 mins. Always juicy and keeps for 4 - 5 days. 2. While the chicken is baking you can bake all the veg you need at the same time. Saves me tons of clean up and is also super healthy with no added oils. Peppers, brussel sprouts, carrots are my go to's. 3. Find quick and easy to put together meals so not everything is prepped. Variety is also good and will keep you interested. I like using turkey bacon in low cal ceasar dressing i make for salads that still pack in the flavor at only 300 cal for a huge bowl. I don't adhere to a budget as tight as this video. I do this because i am currently cutting and sometimes i need extra food to make me feel satisfied after a workout. 4. Make each week a different theme. i have my fallback cajun every other week but add indian, italian, and asian meals in to keep it interesting and to learn how to cook different things. 5. Remember, following a diet and messing up is ok, just keep pushing forward. hitting 80% a month is stumbling 6 times. Practice makes perfect.

Dried starches like lentils, beans, peas and all that stuff are great for meal prepping. Even rice is reasonably cheap if you buy in bulk. Legumes are relatively high in protein, but also pack some carbs and are super universal, as they will go with pretty much everything else. Fish, chicken, meat etc. and even in a salad type dish to make it more substantial. For inspiration, check cultures that live off of these ingredients. Indian cooking is amazing, Asian and Central and South American cooking as well. Lots of flavor with not as many ingredients and easily adaptable to your taste and whatever you have in your fridge and pantry.
I trust no one. But for some reason, I feel like I could give this guy my bank details and he would just put money into my account with inspirational quotes attached to each deposit.

As for the potatos & carrots, I've been cutting the potato's into the shape of mini fries basically and putting that with the chopped carrots into a bowl and lathering them with extra virgin olive oil and putting them in the oven for an hour at 350F. Thank you Noel! I have been breaking my brain for a week on how to eat as cheaply as possible to get enough protein and satiation on a dime. I am disabled unable to exercise CFS/ME. I was lingering over ar Greg Doucette youtube this past week trying to piece it together. And then your name came up over there. And HERE you absolutely gave me THE template on HOW to exactly do this and do it for Zeeeeero! Skipping whey meal and adopting the other 3 meals gives me 1,373 calories (perfect) protein 89 (perfect) cost 3 bucks!!! I am 5'5" 150 lbs.
I highly recommend you count your calories. There is a lot of good information on r/gainit. Being perpetually skinny is almost always due to not eating enough food, genetics and metabolism can always be overcome with a calorie surplus. It'll be a hard transition to up your calorie intake by several hundred per day, but once you get used to it, you'll be gaining in to time. Just make sure to lift as well or else you'll just gain a bunch of fat :P

@@CalDal_22 Don't count nutrients. Consult a professional. Whether you choose to be your own doctor or not sooner or later you will have to consult a professional. 😉
@@CalDal_22 I lost 20lbs in a month *somewhat* easily, and eventually lost a total of 50bs a few months later. I was cutting my portions down about 1/3 to 1/2 of what I was eating, increasing vegetable intake, reducing beef/pork in favor of seafood/chicken (but also not making meat the focus), cutting dairy almost completely,, and limiting the carbs. I had a fruit/oat smoothie for breakfast, vegetarian lunch, and snacking on fruits/nuts or even some veggies between meals. No processed foods, no sodas/fruit juices. Drink mostly water and good teas/coffee! I did not change my activity levels or alter my alcohol intake. I had to cook a lot more and be more selective if I ate out but I never once felt like I was sacrificing the pleasure of food. I also didn't eat based on a clock... if I wasn't hungry at lunch time I didn't eat, if I got hungry halfway to dinner time I just ate a snack. I ended up skipping quite a few meals as the weeks went by and it also resulted in a 3 day fast (water/coffee only) that I had to intentionally break because I literally had no craving for food. Hunger was only an issue after dinner time for about the first two weeks because I also did not want to eat 4 hours before bed, so I couldn't snack to help. However, it was bearable and after some time my body adjusted to the new portion sizes and the hunger went away. I didn't count a damn thing. Just followed these basic principles and ate whatever I wanted. Tons of chicken tacos, vegetable/rice stir fries, salads, toasted tomato sandwiches... and I gave myself 1 cheat meal every two weeks. It seems like a lot at first but after a couple of days it just becomes clear what places and foods to avoid and all of a sudden you're easily navigating your new routine. Don't micro-manage your diet and stress yourself out! Set some simple guidelines like these for yourself, follow them for a month, and see what happens. You can start fine tuning your diet and exercise plans by the results you are experiencing vs someone telling you what is right for you.
noel, my friends and i have recently started going back to the gym, and starting october we plan to really take it seriously, focus on our diet as well as training and get even a little bit as jacked as you are, i look up to you so much, so thanks for this, i will use this to further educate and help my friends reach our collective goal of becoming more like you!
It’s awesome to see you talk about a similar way to which I cook ^^ I make a lot of healthy balanced meals for really cheap and have been hoping to gain some strength recently !it’s nice to know I already have the food down !!
Noel talked about the time he broke his arm, and how it felt that everything he has done, has gone to waste. and you can see it in his eyes he is sad. still made this video to help others to achieve something. what a god sent this man is.
Love these! For the chicken and steamed veggies, I changed it up a bit. I oven roasted the broccoli, potatoes, and carrots to get them crispy and tossed them in avocado oil and seasoning for added flavor (before roasting). I also rotate my protein. One week it’s chicken, then turkey, then beef, then bison, then frozen fish filets. That way I don’t get bored and I get a balanced diet. I’ve been able to up my muscle mass and cut my fat with meal prep. And this is coming from a broke ass adult working 50 hours a week
Even knowing of the benefits of meal prep and taking better care of my body beforehand, seeing and hearing someone do so and do so wholesomely is inspiring and encouraging. You're great.
Glad you brought up the cost of the whey protein, as that goes for a lot of foods. It lasts so long, and a scoop is full of protein and can pack up to 200 calories. People need to look at price tag less and see the serving. For one or even two people, it’s really good.🤟🏾
Honestly, when im hungry i just make these and store them. Small portions of course so i dont eat too much as i stress eat alot. Its nice food ans calms me down. Not only good recipes for fitness but life in general. 9/10 since nothing will be as perfect as your help!

Man in less than a year prices for these have gone up a bunch. Still extremely cost effective. Example: chicken breasts are at least $2.1/lb at walmart for the walmart junk and $3/lb for slightly higher quality. Lentils are $1.25/lb. Eggs now like $1.50/dozen. Quality whey protein is at least $1/serving now. Overall 25-40% increases in cost.

Great thing about these is that you can also substitute any of this for you’re personal preferences. For example maybe instead of green beans you go for collard greens, asparagus, or bell peppers etc
lentil curry recipe: put your spices, cumin seeds and curry in a large pot chop onions and carrots add them to the pot, let it cook until the carrots are no longer raw add tomato sauce, and the lentils let cook until the lentils are almost cook can add coconut milk, but not mandatory, I am French so I add crême fraiche add chopped garlic add water if necessary finish cooking, eat with or without rice
Full time student, worker, and father. Thank you for posting this video Deyzel. Will be a little difficult to find time to workout, but I'll figure it out.
I had that belief that healthier options were more expensive throughout my whole teenage years until I got to college and realized that the only foods I could afford that could also last days/weeks without going bad were the healthy ones lol. Root veggies, canned beans chickpeas, all kinds of frozen veggies, lentils, oats, peanut butter, spinach, rice, etc. These are all a huge staple in my diet and all cost less than $4 each. Ofc it is harder to be a big beefy juicy body builder on a tight budget but a lean strong physical and a healthy diet can surely be achieved if you know how to manage your smaller income.
Dude, I love your content, and this is the cherry on top. You make me want to step my game up and get serious about being healthy and get into body building. Thank you for being the God sent man that you are.

I highly recommend you count your calories. There is a lot of good information on r/gainit.
Good macros but at that level of calories I would loose weight (though obviously you can just make bigger portions)
