- A controversial decision by leaders at the University of Southern California relates to the debate raging on many U.S. campuses over the war in Gaza. The school says it's canceling a planned graduation speech by its valedictorian, Asna Tabassum, due to safety concerns. This follows the online response to a pro-Palestinian link that Tabassum posted on her Instagram account.

USC doesn't want to put this woman center stage in the graduation ceremony because of her political views and identity. It has little to do with "safety".

How can this woman get a minor in "resistance to genocide " from USC? USC offers political events as minors?
I THOUGHT PROPER PROTOCOL IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION WOULD BE FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD OFFICIALS TO GET AND READ A HARD COPY OF HER SPEECH BEFORE DECIDING ON THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THE SPEECH.
That school got a call from one or more multi-millionaire donor and was told to cancel this student as valedictorian.
@@betsyj59so post the evidence plz. I'm not doing work to find evidence for ur claim. That's just silly lol
When you share your political stance be ready to suffer the positive and negative consequences it brings!
She learned everything from tiktok
There never was such P state; the Romans changed the name of Israel to Palestina (with an 'a' at the end), but in reality, it was always the Land of Israel.
She's the top student at USC. Way, way smarter than you are I would guess.
You learned everything from Daily Jewish Wire
@@JohnnyNada There are people who know how to read, you are invited to start reading books.
@@betsyj59 Education does not necessarily bring wisdom, unfortunately, and it is known that in the United States, even books are not enough to understand basic things. That's what TikTok is for some figures like her.
Bullsh*t. Now they're saying "safety concerns.". That's not what they said at first. Well, it is SC after all.
What dd they say at first?
why doesnt she move to a muslim country?
A commencement ceremony is not to be used as a political platform.
That is some serious cowardly BS. An educational institution should be able to control an event they hold.
You hate free speech so much 😂
lol would you defend such if it was a pro-Israel speech? Be honest here.
Can’t let her get up there and spit out false terrorist figures.
Sounds like they're controlling it the way they want
@@Baebon6259 The difference is one wants to end occupation, another wants to continue it and thinks they have a right because their belief says so.
Shame on you, USC!
How does she justify what happened to the Israeli’s that were murdered by your people?
I bet she's one of the people who celebrated 10/7
It's easy, 76 years of recorded oppression justifies lots of action, even worse ones.
Hi do you justify israhell violently taking land and wiping out hundreds of thousands of people for 75 years yiu hypocrite?
Oh nos who will save Palestine now
There MUST BE PROTESTS IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE EVERY MOMENTS
Genocide? Insane.
If all students cannot be valedictorian equally then shut down the entire college. That is discrimination and I hope she sues and wins. Unfair policies are not above the constitution.
Got to love "Freedom of Speech."
You don't really know what freedom of speech means smh. It means the government can't prosecute you for your views, it doesn't mean private groups and citizens have to let you say whatever you want. 🙄
@@paigefoster8396 it's a private university. Jfc. I went there as well.
@@paigefoster8396 lol you got it wrong and then backtracked so hard 😭 no one calls University of South Carolina as USC, they use UofSC. Lol also why bring up Carolina when the video is literally about Socal.
All these for a URL Link that led to a Article that had maybe 2 words that the USC deemed hateful !
She looks like my daughter, my daughter gave speech on her high school graduation. They made her more popular. Shame on the university administration who took this decision.
