Sat across from these two (Mary and James) on a flight. They were easily recognizable and wonderful to hear them converse with each other the entire way. Taught me a lot just watching a couple with two very different viewpoints work things through together.
I wish we all could be that way. They set a very good example for the country. The left and right use to be able to work together and compromise before Trump.

The border wall and security bill Trump presented to Pelosi even had a pathway to citizenship for 100% of the DACA members and increased legal immigration. They said no. Stacking omnibus bills with ridiculous unrelated addons then running their media empire to spew about 1.3% of the bill. It's horrible.
It would be in the best interest of America if we could get back to this type of civility.

I have the same opinion… Collectively we should not think like that but…. it will be one of the biggest gap difference results ever in a American election… That put more pressure in Kamala to make at least big consensual moves to make people effort and expectations in line with this mobilization for democracy… first would be approved the bi-partisan for the border to make both parts happy… then some other big moves that Americans feel on their daily life and Americans remember that Democracy worth the effort… it’s not them against us… it’s all together for decency and values… and in the first speech she should target Republicans and say to them directly that America needs a healthy Republican Party and they should do their part now and get rid of Trump asap…. That's why everyone has to be more proactive than ever before. No complacency allowed. My best friend in the entire world is a republican as is his wife. She's not as politically savvy as he is, she's trump drunk. He and I will on occasion talk politics but we mostly just don't bore each other with our own opinions. But when we do and it can get a little heated, afterward we have another cold one and a shot and say here's to you. That's the way politics used to be in this country until trump.
