Another addition, not entirely sure which one but pretty sure it’s the skeleton with the shield, they have a shield bash and a thrust attack (separate)
is it worth binding crouch to a diff button? I'm new and it seems kind of odd crouching to hit a matrix and moving left to right while remaining crouched vs demon berserker. Or is there a toggle crouch option i haven't found it if there is lol
@@JorDossey Do you have to be so selfish to use pinned comment to ask a simple question you can quickly google the answer for? Now to answer the question: I've been using ctrl for over 2 decades and tried(or rather was forced to by default settings) different buttons and can clearly say it's on of the best buttons you can use. You could also use mouse buttons, but that takes time to adapt to. Toggle crouch is only good for camping in the corner, there's a good reason you see it less in games.
@@squashedkebab6927 Do you have to be so selfish to use pinned comment to ask a simple question you can quickly google the answer for? ????????? u good bro .... u just had to put that in ??? smh
This is so unbelievably lame. People like you and those who consume this content are massive meta-gaming losers. You're the reason why multiplayer gaming has consistently gone downhill for over a decade, just play the damn game bro
I have over 3000 hours on record in dark and darker at this point and ive been playing since the second playtest. At the point I am now I take all of this information for granted and it is great to see someone pass this information along to what may be a whole new generation of dark and darker players
Just started playing and watching you dodge every enemy with ez while beating their head in with a mere torch and explaining how to perfectly counter every enemy I have trouble with was insane.
As someone who hasn't played since 12 months ago, it's nice to see not *too much* has changed. Excellent video, just the right level of detail w/o any fluff x
Omg, i watch the part with skeleton champion and u were like playing with him like a kid. To hit them with the torch u are a genius. So simple when i watch u but it's a nightmare in real life. I love the hardcore pve part of Dark and Darker
This is a great, comprehensive, but straightforward guide, I will direct new players to this from now on. One thing that I would like to add is that you can use corners/pillars to great effect against mobs, especially mini bosses.
This is a great guide, man. I've noticed that the nightmare skeleton archer's third shot seems like it fires with the projectile speed/accuracy bonus of a ranger's true shot, but not 100% on that. Great advice on everything!
Once again, professional work! This is a perfect video for beginners to look for help. Also I'd like to point out is to pay attention to "white effects" these enemies do during their attack animations. For example, demon dog's bite attack wont hit you immediately. Thank you so much for these videos!
Just got into dark and darker 3-4 days ago and man this guide has helped me so much. I remember going into some dungeons just getting obliterated because i didnt understand the movement in this game but i can honestly say this guide has helped me reach all the later game areas and deal with the mobs with ease. Thank you so much man, great guide, and straight to the point!
Finally downloaded since it went f2p on steam. I already can tell I'll be sinking a lot of hours into this and plan on upgrading. Very informative video thank you I'm sure I'll be coming back for more at some point!
When it comes to the Berserker, i figured a rather reliable way of fighting them, the counter clockwise jump and crouch, you continue to strafe counter clockwise around the zerker, always hitting him but you duck his right to left diagonal and jump/jump crouch his left to right, i would say this requires a little bit of space and preferably no interruption from teammates cause they can screw up the cycle by blocking you but even with full plate as a cleric this has been my most efficient way of dealing with them.
Thank you. I’ve been trying to explain all this to my girl but you are much more concise and show examples. Linking her this video now. Earned a sub especially with the other guides coming. Gonna save me so much headache with her 😂
Just started playing DaD recently, appreciate the dodging guides, I felt pretty good while using a shield but started taking lots of damage when trying to dual wield
Rule of thumb, if you are able to cheese a mob, cheese the mob. Faster clearing (and by that I man not super slow clearing) and less chance of getting hit
Hell yeah! I've been getting better the last few days but this will definitely help so much! I been noticing these crazy tactics that the pros seem to use and glad someone has now taught me wtf is going on
Just started playing this game yesterday, having a blast so far learning the different classes and maps. Definitely die almost every time before getting to exit lol Subbed!
btw we can still crouch duck his attack but you got to keep rotating with him, and make sure to be looking straight down or you will get hit ( Axeman )
This is such a good guide! I was doin so much wrong but also had already picked up on a few things mentioned such as to not back peddal but strafe and just use your mouse to look left or right so you are then strafing out of attacking range instead of slowly walking backwards. Now if we could just get the fully geared veterans to not camp the portals in solos waiting to chop us level 20s down like brush in the jungle 😂🤣 Game is seriously fun, hard as hell but fun.
Videos like this can replace the entirety of 'The Hall of Knights' programme/discord. KenKnobi mentioned today there's over 800+ unanswered requests by players looking for Knights.
The program was never going to be able to handle the volume. How do military or education systems train tens of 1000's of fresh people? Definitely not with 1on1 learning. I like the helpful sentiment, but the execution doesn't make sense to me.
@@NotLikeThisJoe 100% agree. The server has since devolved and a lot of Knights have either been banned for cheating or had their 'Knight' status removed for undisclosed reasons. It's another 'duct tape' solution implemented without future thought for longevity, which will forever sit there and become a useless function - 'The Request a Knight Button' in game, for example. One positive is that there seems to have been some social grouping happening, but the discord as a whole seems abandoned now by those who created it as well as the Knights.
Fucking insane video. If you continue to output content of this level you will be one of the top content creators im sure for this game. Good luck and thank you, looking forward to the GC and FM/Abyss map guides for enemies
I've only started playing recently. One of my favorite cheese strats as Druid was going Rat and kiting a bunch of mobs into a room full of spikes. It netted me so much XP and loot... until the spikes bit back. RIP Rat. 😆
Great guide! Alternative way to dodge demon berserker is to circle strafe which makes the attack from the same side miss, and crouch jumping the attack from the far side. Easiest way IMO.
Also something that I don't think is mentioned in this video that I saw mentioned elsewhere: you can cheese the wraith in areas without high terrain to jump on by just finding a slope (like, some stairs or something). You can crouch jump every one of his attacks point blank (even the lunge) when you do this.
Some additions and fixes: Nightmare dragonfly can combo its attacks to 2. So be careful baiting its attack, because it can catch you offguard with coming another shot. Nightmare mimic cause poison with its attack.
Just the first two tips alone would be enough to be a game changer. I learned those from some other video and went from dying constantly to extracting with full bags of loot and shooting to level 15 in like 3 rounds - just murdering AI mobs with bait and punish and turning away to get more speed.
I just started today and man… i am in love with this game. I could use any tips such as what i should sell, what i should spend gold on and what should i not sell? Im loving this friendly community as well❤
Make getting a second stash your first big gold purchase. Otherwise just keep playing Normals and you will learn a lot the first week. Stay in under 25gs lobbies for as long as you feel comfortable for, since this is the most balanced form of the game.
