More videos like this need to be made, because when I got into the game I always thought that purples meant I was dead no matter what I did and for people to see that you can overcome the odds will give them confidence going under geared in games
Still can be that. A purple gear "designed build" will absolutely wreck lower kits. Druid panther with stacked agility and vigor as an example. The most fun you can have without huge power gaps is definitely in the 25 - 124 range rn.
The amount of work you put into getting different POV’s footage and the editing you put into this is very impressive, great vid! Effort does not go unnoticed
"it's okay, it's a mess in our favor" is such good communication man reassuring, wholesome, encourages team to focus, while also not disagreeing to avoid hostility
I'm an indie game developer who works on a moba that has very fast moving characters. People don't realize how much lag there is in online games, even with a ping of just 60-90, the difference in client and server position when viewed side-by-side can be quite surprising. This leads to a lot of moments where players feel "cheated", but that's just the reality of latency in online games.
The game is sick. However im kinda tired of the cheese. For ex mobs in front of doorways or in front of ladders. So many times i get fully kitted up and dont even die to a player bc of all the shit i gotta dodge. Arena cant come soon enough @lokai765
A high skill ceiling does not a good game make, at least not alone. Just because someone can invest thousands of hours into a game learning it's complexities doesn't make those complexities objectively good or even subjectively fun. I'm not saying Dark and Darker is bad, it has redeeming qualities, but it's filled with questionable design choices, obtuse game mechanics, inconsistent developers who flip flop on design decisions, and it has toxicity issues like any other multiplayer game, especially ones that have PvP functionality.
As a newer player who hit the blue rank in solos and then got stuck, this is a really comprehensive guide to not only build mistakes but also insight into what gear actually effects what and how to bring gear to increase necessary stats. Me and my buddy watched through this yesterday and were amazed by the level of skill you have as well as your knowledge. 💪
I would perform a holy ritual if it meant getting NotLikeThis hired by IronMace & made responsible for balancing as well as some other big picture stuff
Love the format and the Fight explanations :) But I think solos would be better for this series, especially because you focus a lot on the gear u buy. First fight for example was really well played, but I feel like your 200g kit did not have any impact as the Fighter pretty much played it perfectly with his purple Halberd. Damn I love the Halberd...
The work you put into this video is amazing. All I see from others are reaction clips from random, out of context fights. Can be kinda funny, but actually getting a fight break down with the thought processing is GOATed. Thanks for this.
Okay, first off, I found you from the podcast with Jay just yesterday. This is the first of your youtube videos I'm tuning in for, and holy shit this is some good stuff. In the podcast you kept getting talked over but I thought you had some good points of discussion that I wished had more air time, now seeing your content I'm realizing that podcast would've been GOLD if you had the right set up for topics. Great stuff dude! Keep this up, you've earned another fan
Yeah, the fact you can't attack in the Dreanwalk state, but you still do damage with an attack you started before the change is a real pain. Not for the Druid, I'm sure they love it.
I love your content man! This is the first multiplayer game I've ever tried to go into and the skill ceiling is rough. Watching you play with your commentary really inspires me to want to get anywhere as good as you are
Incredible content, I'm glad to see that skill expression is so much more important now that gear has calmed down. It almost seems like IM took your suggestions video to heart a bit. I would love to see way more of this it was both extremely informative and really goddamn cool
God I love Rey, the report is absolutely hilarious. You, Rey, Y4mi, TheLorr, Repoze and ryan6daysaweek are definitely my favourite creators of all time.
Loved seeing the streamers reaction, Geared and thinking he was going to kill two noobs, dies and cries about you being terrible (despite you clearly outplaying him so what does that make him exactly?) and calls cheating to cope xD
I know the Barb recognized his mistakes and approved the clip and all that, but the "I lost, therefore they must be cheating" is exactly the sort of thing a a player who over relies on good gear would say.
I like the way you break down fights like this. I try to explain to my friends how to think of every situation in a tactical way and think of the cause/effect before making a decision. Instead they just hold W key and M1 as soon as they see anyone and then cry that the enemy is more geared when they get outplayed or resort to blaming me. Then they load up Apex Legends or some other slop while calling this game bad. Now I queue solo as a bard player lol, oh well
I was happy to see this had 100k+ views after i watched the video; considering how incredible your production is. Also; love the osrs music. Wish i played with people like you. I like semicolons btw.
NGL, that video with commentary + explanations for each fightd is very intersting, we can learn techs and decision making process there which is barely possible by looking only gameplay !! u get one new sub from me !! GG
dam whata video. Would def watch more of this type of thing. I love the fight breakdowns. its what I send to my friends cuz they don't be understanding this is way more than just dodging and baiting spells, you need to do a lot of extra "little" things to be successfull consistently
Yeah the average gamer who hasn't played this game much (yet) probably misses so much when watching a clip from it. There's so many small things going on and minor decisions being made which can affect the entire fight.
whoever the fighter with the halberd is hes insanely good lowkey the mvp/allstar of the team hes nasty with that halberd and has great reflexes and awareness
Haha this is a great video man. I liked how you played in ways that are more strategic and gives you an advantage + breaking down each step through the video made me think about some/many errors of my own. I also watched a different video which explains to not focus on getting good gear because good ≠ better. Anyways here is a sub + like

For the Warlock fight at 17:45 you say "He outrades me with longsword so I have to be careful" but you win by hitting him twice and he hit you 3 times+ curse of pain
More videos like this need to be made, because when I got into the game I always thought that purples meant I was dead no matter what I did and for people to see that you can overcome the odds will give them confidence going under geared in games
Depends when you got the game because there was a point when purples was very powerful
Still can be that. A purple gear "designed build" will absolutely wreck lower kits. Druid panther with stacked agility and vigor as an example.

"Frightened New Player"
*Carries Blue Torch*
Might be like me, bought the game ages ago but didn't really play before it hit steam. So I am a frightened new player with a blue torch, haha.
I held the line since pt3 but will always be a frightened new player with a blue torch lol
Some people just aren’t that good. A level 70 dude in my trio died to pve right off the bat lmao

your first thoght was right, if the game only entertain who willing to pour thousands hour into training then it is not a good game
That doesn't mean the game sucks, just that you prefer different games
