Raspberry is a great fruit. I was looking for some ideas and I didnt even think of this fruit. I might plant one or two but because I dont have space I guess I could use pots. The person burning like that was awful to see. That stuff was toxic and its just lazy when there is a place in the village to take it to. They dont care about their neighbours. Thats really bad. The wheelbarrows of soil, that was fantastic soil just to be able to dig up and move to the orchard. All that lovely leave litter is brilliant for the ground turns into lovely soil. The orchard will be so lovely when its established a wonderful fruit orchard.
It is also not cheep to buy raspberries at the shop. The plants were so cheep that was a bargain and had to plant them. I am not sure what people think when burnin rubbish like this. We have everything here to get rid of it the right way. Soil is amazing in the forest and I will use it more often where needed. Also the more I dig there the bigger the pond gets. Cannot wait to have everything planted out. 👋👋

I love hearing the thought process behind all your decisions in the garden (and critiques of your careless neighbors; shame on them, seriously). I found the video while researching what sorts of fruits and orchards grow best in Croatia as I write a novel heavily inspired by the region. I'm in America, but my granddad had ties to Croatia (almost inherited a vineyard!) so I've been looking for ways to learn more about life there and hopefully visit someday soon.
