No need to expand the garden this year
As we are this late in the season some beads are becoming free. No need to expand the garden just use what I already have. This will give me time to do other things on the homestead.

    Animal breeding is coming along amazing. Looks like you have had a rainy summer can be annoying for work in the homestead but everything looks so green and its fantastic for the fruit and nut trees. Getting the honey would be fantastic. Nice to see you are making money from the geese such a great way to make money to go back into the homestead. The geese are gorgeous. The rabbits were very cute as well. I look at what you call the bush lol and I was thinking you are so lucky because its nowhere near like Aussie bush and your area looks to me more like a woodland area to clear. All looks lovely on the homestead and hope the weather gets better for you.

    • @MyCroatianHomestead
      @MyCroatianHomestead Місяць тому

      Hehe yea it is more like woodland. Is only spring now and hope summer will be much much better. Rain did not really ease off is still raining weather man is not guessing right. From what I see baby geese are the way to go. They need more work to get them hatched but they cost more when you sell them. Everyone does chickens here but not many geese. Hopefully something I can take advantage off. Still need to see how I go with selling adult geese.

    I notice in Croatia and Hungary people don't seem to pull up weeds, they prefer to just chop the tops off with a hoe. That is OK for some plants but others just keep growing a new top on the existing root.

    My partner is Croatian and I am Australian born. We made the move 4 months ago, we packed our entire life and now we call Croatia Home. Australia has changed very much over the years, but now it's becoming extremely hard to live there. The people here are so friendly, what makes a huge bonus is that speak very good English, I respect the language so much, but this just urges me to learn this language even more. The way of life here is so simple. Europe at your fingertips. Im extremely lucky to now call this beautiful country my home.

      @@MyCroatianHomestead Thanks for the reply. Curious about the house. Are you going to build a flat roof? The reason I say that is that you poured a concrete slab rather than use wood joists or the more traditional system in Croatia of precast concrete beams and reinforced clay tile infills. Do you have an architect?
