The audience shows a great respect to this band. You just tell they are into the show. Just goes to show you can't good music down. No matter what crap comes out nowadays.
Still sound great after all these years. Pushing close to 50 years together. Incredible. They put today's groups (if you want to call them that) to shame. As stated below, they are THE Heavy Metal Authorities.
@@Randy.E.R IKR, me, too. But, I always find myself going back to the ‘old stuff’ as a means of escapism from the crap today being packaged as ‘music’. I know JP has gone through several personnel changes, but they still sound great. What’s also amazing: the Stones also sound better than ever, and a new generation is discovering them. Such a true testament to their resiliency.
The definition of Heavy Metal - Priest 4 ever! 😎🤘🤘😎 Rob’s voice aging like a fine wine. Better than ever. Love the new guitarist, great energy throughout all the band
My son and I were at this gig. What a night, what a band. The place was rocking.... I mean literally rocking. I swear that the balcony bounced up and down.
I saw JP in 1980 and they pretty much nailed the Unleashed In The East album. The support band was an up and coming lot called Iron Maiden. I kid you not. Wonderful, really bloody wonderful days.
The new guitar player is very nice... I din´t miss K. K. at stage. In my humble opinion, he have a higher volume at the mixing board, because he plays better!!! \m/
Judas Priest was the first live concert I ever attended. August 2, 1984. I remember it like yesterday. I have seen most of the ‘great’ bands of this era....many were good....but none were better than JP. Funny, I don’t recall a single date of any other concert of any band I went to since and there have been dozens. LEGENDS!
Used to see these every year back in the day . No cut off time , no sound limits . A very very long walk home , cant remember exactly he said if you want the last bus go now .
This song has extra meaning for me nowadays since I have sleep apnea and sleep in a series of 3-4 hour cat naps! My COPD and arthritis are probably worse, but I can walk to the beer store and counselor!!
This was never a favorite Priest tune until I heard the live version, as is the case with many of their songs. These guys are THE ICONS of Heavy Metal!
I Saw this great band Live in the eighties twice 81 85 In their prime Unbelievable Energy in that arena both times Priest knew how to get the crowd rocking That's for sure
Rob is thee consummate professional, happy to hang back & sing background vocals while allowing his audience to take the lead.. I luv when a front man does that..
I remember seeing these guys and all these other Hard Hittin bands back in the 80s.. It was just another great night out to see a great concert. And we thought nothing of it. Because we were young and immortal.
would bloody love to have a drink with these guys. probably good mates with eacother too. cheers judas priest, one of the best bands to ever come forth from heavy metal
Grand Poobah of Penis. Knew well of priest for a long time. Been getting into it a lot more the last few weeks. Halfords vocals are among the best and somehow havent lost his pitch over the years. Incredible. Only singer I can think of that is in that realm of sounding the same that long is Klaus Meine from Scorpions.
If any of you live near Bradford, UK, there's a pub called the Bridge Tavern on Bowling Old Lane. Or is it Springmill Street? Anyway, live, local hard rock/metal bands every Friday and Saturday night. Well worth a visit. They have a website.
Rob Halford carries himself like he regrets absolutely nothing in his life. What a badass.

^ Probably the only regret is That the idiots in the Rock Hall never inducted them yet...

The only problem with your comment is that it means I am 50 years older than when I first heard them 😂

Best heavy metal band to ever rock the stage... period.
I grew up listening to Maiden. Really listening to Priest now, I'll give them a tie for top spot - though I prefer Priest subjectively :)

😍😍
Ashamed to admit it, but truthfully speaking, over the years I haven't given Judas Priest the credit that the band deserves. Sorry Priest! Rock on!!!
Now THAT is a rip roaring show...Stress relief at it's finest.
It's funny how these guys are still heavier than most of the bands playing today!
