I think the problem initially was the introduction of a new sound in the "turbo" album. A sound that was heavily relying on synthesizers and other forms of electronic music. People were really critical and worried about Judas Priest becoming an 80's synth pop band. But it was heavily overblown. In the end this is still Priest. The double guitar solos on turbo were some of the best from their entire catalogue. And the instrumentals in general were far beyond anything in 80's synth pop/edm records. And deep inside it still kept the vibe of Judas Priest. It was just expressed differently.

I swear as a fan of all the albums, they all sound different yet sound priest. And now they've all aged well for the stage decades later to be molded together like the metal they are.

I really love the Turbo album, the whole thing is tons of fun.
But yeah you're right... A lot of people really hate on it.
It's nice to see so much love for it these days as it's one of my top Priest albums.
I think it still sounds very Priest, a little different but still, almost all their albums sound different.

Just saw them In Las Vegas my first time June 29, 2019. Awesome show! I am a fan all over again. I feel lucky to still be able to get any Judas Priest live at least once. But they didn’t play Turbo lover at my show and all the girls in the bathroom after the show seemed to be looking forward to that song a lot. Lol. Girls love Turbo lover! Hope next time I get to see them they don’t forget. In the meantime the songs “halls of Valhalla” “Judas rising” and “breaking the law” made me super happy

I was crying when they started with Dragonaut at Ergo Arena in Gdańsk...Being only 2 metres from The Metal God - a person with the voice that changed my life was amazing.
Also in Łódź the fans of Judas Priest were amazing when the Priest was playing Turbo Lover. Probably in this song the audience was the loudest.

The main and so important reason why this song sounds just so amazing is that a fantastically written song such as this stands the test of time! Brilliant writing...It touched me back when the single came out with its driven power and chords progression. World clast song writing!! Built up of the verses into this such efficient and moving chorus...Perfect tune

I know. I was a bit skeptical at first but he's more than proved himself, he's very capable and he has a great stage personality. I also feel like he's wasted in Priest - he could easily be the lead guitarist in any band yet has to fit in alongside Glenn here. Anyway, I can't wait to see his influence on the new album!

Sad that KK is gone(He was the guitarist that made me wanna play guitar) but Richie took up the mantle very well. Im glad he does his own thing while respecting the original material, better than trying to be a Clone and making himself seem sorta sellout-ish.

    • @Fauxjob

Faulkner is doing a great job musically and stylistically and is also offering some "young blood", he openly engages with the crowd, hypes them up. I'm happy for KK, I hate traveling for business and living on the road, I can't imagine doing it to the extent they, or other bands, have...but one has to make a living.

No obstante, en mi concepto,no veo a Kraken ,son pinceladas ,no es fácil ,de apoco irán mejorando..gracias x su talento
