With its unique sound and its eighties chords, it is unquestionably one of the great Australian bands that accompanied us in the best decade of Rock and Pop music and will always be part of our wonderful years ... thanks Men at Work from Chiclayo-Peru
The little known songs are often the best songs - I have seen Colin Hay solo 3 times at Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD - got to speak with him all 3 times... a wonderful man
Colin and the boys could so create a good melody. Men At Work (and Duran Duran) are my favorite bands from my early 80s pre-adolescent and early teen years. DD keeps pushing out great music and art. So wish Men At Work had had more albums. Thanks, fellas, for the enjoyment.
This is the only group I've see live or in the studio (I used to work at Record Plant) whose live performances were better than their recorded versions. I get the chills when I listen to them.
@Pigeonmaster-zt5ly Hell, yeah! 💗 Stalactites, Jack Daniels, & separate sessions for Fleetwood Mac (ah, gawd, the *levels* on Stevie Nicks!😫) I worked Sausalito location, 1975, Young One! We used stone knives & bear skins!😅
Thank you! Favorite song from a favorite band. I remember well seeing them perform it live at the Lansing Civic Center in 1983. One of my favorite concerts 😊
Sad to hear that. I posted this song for a woman I met in a faraway country and wanted her to know I was sad that a romance wasn't possible between us because of the distance.
I am very sorry to hear. I understand how hard that can be and I wish you nothing but the best upon you. Iirc Collin did mention in one interview he wrote this song after a breakup with his girlfriend, the song being about the ensuing depression and the process on getting backbon his feet and overcoming it, little by little, day by day.

I was so lucky to grow up in the 80's. All this stuff was so great! Men At Work are brilliant!

They was the hot band. Didn't even care! They were so good!
This song should have charted.

Love MEN at work. Colin Hay. And all the guys in the band.

Jerry Speiser is a beast, some of his stuff with Men At Work is almost Bill Bruford level stuff.
Brilliant performance of the band. Great singer.
Such a magnificent performance. 🙂 Wish I could hit the like button multiple times. Thank you for the upload.
Favorite song ever from these guys
SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SONG/PERFORMANCE.... simply MAGIC. Men at Work is blowing my mind right now wow

Lo maximo este temon
I always try to sing this song thinking I'm as good as Colin Hay, when he hits that high note then I understand I'm not Colin Hay
Awesome song 😁
Did Colin lose somebody to motivate the writing of this song?
My fiancée was killed in 1981, this song always reminds me of her.
