also, the scene with the stormtroopers not identifying Obi Wan or Leia when they are sitting right next to them, even when Obi Wan makes the huge mistake of calling Leia by her real name, even if Obi Wan is wearing suspicious clothes…
She should have used the Vulcan neck pinch. It had a similar origin story - Nimoy embarrassed by writing and came up with own method of rendering a bad guy unconscious.
"While that is one of the dumbest things I've seen in Disney Star Wars and I've seen a lot of it, I'd say it's not that unusual for a Disney employee to be hiding a 10 year-old under a trench coat." Nailed it.
Very true Disney allows employees who are mentally registered perverts to work for them under different names. There are dozens of employees working at a Disney under false names and all of them are child molesting perverts.
What is worse is that it was effective. Plenty of content creators tag the anti-racism part in the end of their opening address. Disney says "the sky is purple" people who consume "the sky IS purple!!"
They don’t start with a good story and characters, then find actors to play them. They start with wanting to cast a black woman, a little girl, and other pathetic sjw tropes and then write story around that.
There are SO many interesting stories you could tell in the Star Wars universe, and Disney manages to tell us exactly none of them. They get what they deserve.
dude... the problem is not with the stories! Take the best story in the world and give it to these incompetent fools and be 'amazed' of how bad they will execute it.
It's like giving the keys of an F1 car to a 17 year old Chav boy racer. It makes me sad that they are blowing the chance of a lifetime this show could have been for us fans. This is one of the most interesting periods in Vader's timeline in particular - a period in the Star Wars mythos that all SW fans have wanted to see on the screen and they treat it with such absolute disregard and little respect. But why give it to such amateurs in the first place? - This is the biggest Sci Fi franchise with the Greatest Movie Villain of all time and its being written like a Saturday morning cartoon show!
Im only 31 and basically hate every media from the last 8yrs. The shift happened quickly for us lol... Culture moving so fast in the wrong direction compared to our parents.
Yes, I'm in my thirties too and I can see the propaganda/conditioning has been ramped up a lot in the last years, making everything suddenly worse; more woke, less authentic, less creative freedom, even more historically inaccurate, etc. My guess is because of the ESG's all the companies have to consider now. They all got quotas to fill and must portray "the message". I guess CRT and the growing anti-whiteism doesn't help either, making blackwashing of characters a recurring thing. I thought that was racist when white people did it, but appearantly OK when it's done the other way around... Makes you wonder why they think this is a good idea and what they hope will come from it, to piss off their majority population, to piss off the fanbases most likely to buy their crap. Oh well, best to stop giving them money if we can.
I've been thinking this since Book of Boba Fett. Disney isn't doing that well financially and they're loosing faith in these productions. It's interesting to see.

You know whats funny? The whole way that reveal is presented is like the writers are smugly expecting the audience to be shocked…its funny because the reality is that to be shocked by it only speaks to how awful their writing is; Reva’s rapid promotions didnt make ANY sense, its like Disney are focusing way too hard on ‘evil’ in the term ‘Evil Empire’. “Reva is promoted because she killed her boss. See, its because its an EVIL Empire that knows its EVIL so they reward EVIL behaviour!” And then at the reveal that Vader knew all along, the writers are like “Well DUH it makes no sense to be promoted after repeatedly disobeying orders. We fooled you!” No you didn’t fool us, we simply have such little faith in your writing ability that we legitimately expected you to forget your own plothole. You literally rode the fact that no one has any expectations for your ability as writers.
Just gonna throw this out there. Last I checked, the snowspeeder schematics, it had one seat for the forward pilot, & one seat for the rear gunner. When did such a ship become a cargo ship, with extra space to hold two additional adults, & a toddler!?
It’s clear there are no Star Wars historians on this project. It’s also clear there is a major effort to make Reva happen to the point of making her a Mary Sue. She can survive disappointing Vader multiple times, take a saber to the gut- the same weapon that tissue papered blast doors, and has to foresight to plant a tracer on a toy because she knew Leia would escape.
There is the so called story group, but they just don't seem to serve an actual purpose these days and I bet when KK is out evenly, they'll be out along with her
she's definitely going to die, also she survived because of the cybernetic implants. Vader purposely stabbed her in the same place she survived in before. Obi-Wan hasn't lifted a saber in 10 years and Vader has a suit that gives him basically super strength. Surviving doesn't make a Mary sue, defeating easily does. Edit: Goddammit Disney i tried to defend you, wrote this before i knew reva was getting a series
Reva..."where were u and what were u doing during order 66?" Kenobi...."nothing much. I was only on a mission and killed the leader of the sep Droid army. Then order 66 happened and I had to defend myself and escape. After that, I went and dealt with the new sith apprentice and saved the jedi future. Wtf did u do lol...wait, u didn't exist then"

Is there a source for that? Would it be interesting to know what Lucas' motives were besides financial gain. It's almost like selling a child, but then he did refer to Disney as white slavers in one interview.
He wasn't bullied. He sold Lucasfilm to get away from corporate control and go back to making films for art instead of being forced to make films for profit. Stop speculating and putting so much belief into it, unless your plan is to always be a fool saying stupid things....
Definitely sad that Disney got Star Wars and ruined it. To be fair, marvel still had some good movies at that time and people hoped Disney would do the same for Star Wars. Unfortunately they skipped all the good parts and went straight to the shitty part without any of the good that marvel got before going woke.
I wanted Disney+ at one point. Hearing about how the Loki series turned out broke me of my interest, alongside the low level mediocrity of the series that preceded it (Wandavision, Falcon/Winter Soldier).

@@I_Don_t_want_a_handle We'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the Nielsen ratings. Disney was ruling the top 2 spots with Encanto and another movie for a few weeks. Marvel's Moon Knight was in the top 5 but the last few episodes fell to number 8 and didn't see a post binge boost in ratings from people that prefer to wait until most of the show is released. Supposedly, a cluster of subscribers dropped Disney+ citing Moon Knight as the reason proclaiming it to be terrible alongside other Disney Marvel shows. At least Disney is reporting on ratings it seems. HBOMAX does not unless it's a success. HBOMAX claimed their sci-fi series Raised By Wolves to be a big ratings success but then, oddly enough, cancelled Raised By Wolves, which sucked for fans because Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger. The producers are trying to shop it around to other streaming services.
I think the most frustrating thing for me and other fans is the pure wasted potential of these shows. Kenobi could have been the greatest Star Wars story ever told. A guilt-ridden, exiled Jedi forced to live the life of a hermit on a final mission to protect a child from evil forces and earn redemption. Holy crap! How do you fck that up, Disney?!
Because Disney hates the original Star wars fans. They're more concerned at twisting and morphing the franchise into their own political activism propaganda.
What could have been: Taking a cue from Legends and make Tattooine an interesting and dangerous place where Luke and his foster parents need some protection from time to time. But what the Book of Boba Fett has established has been repeated, there is nothing on Tattooine. The planet was only interesting for many because Jabba the Hutt was there, not because Jabba had any reason to settle there. The planet is so boring that Kenobi had to go away for an adventure and Luke didn't need any protection.
It would require "Better Call Saul" level writing and patience. Disney does not have it, they would prefer to pander to 6 years olds who don't even care about Star Wars, while getting upset that 35 yr old Millennials call them out on their bullshit hack writing.
8:05 "Be excellent to each other!" "Party on, dude!" These floating guys look like the Three Most Important People in the World from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
The reason Disney fails is because they start every project with "what political statements do we want to make" they then go out and develop content around that premise. Once upon a time Disney was a master storyteller, those days are long gone.
Yep, I was convinced before, but now i have proof that those writers are cats trapped in a box with an keyboard. They throw some snacks in the box to spice the plot. That's how the script was written. And the filming crew are homeless meth addicts with iphone
The most tragic part of Disney Star Wars is that the basic premise of everything they've come out with has the potential to be cool. The idea of characters like Rey or Reva COULD have been great. But Disney just takes whatever premise they're working with and does every single thing wrong with it that they possibly can. And then of course they blame us for recognizing a dumpster fire when we see one.
Boba Fett was another great premise. Ex-bounty hunter now running his own galactic crime ring? That could've been so fucking cool but no, they water it down so much to the point that the show was boring and served more as a teaser for the next Mandalorian season than anything else.
All that Shilling for The Mandalorian and all that Simping for John Favreau. Where did it get The Fandom Menace? NOWHERE! And I laugh everyday at The Fandom Menace.
The scene that really made me laugh is when Obi-Wan's lightsaber bounced off the first guard while saving Leia. It was poorly shot or maybe that guard was wearing Mandalorian beskar armor lol.
Well they were already ripping off everything else from the Fallen Order videogame. Might as well borrow the lightsaber = nerf bat trope from nearly all Star Wars videogames.

I hate this show but that's why Reva got those bandits to kidnap Leia and didn't do it directly so to give the Empire plausible deniabilty from it. How the series could have gone if the men were as competent in this show as they are in cannon….. Reva is brutally tortured by the grand inquisitor in episode 1 for insubordination and he discovers reva’s plan because she is weak and feeble minded. Grand inquisitor brings this knowledge to Vader, Vader uses the force to extract memories from reva that reveals the location of force sensitive children. Reva is executed by Vader and placed in the fortress inquisitorious along with all the other dead Jedi One of the locations of force sensitive kids happens to be on tatooine. The inquisitors are dispatched back to tattooine to investigate, they learn of something called “the path” Meanwhile, Ben kenobi feels a great disturbance in the force, something is coming that threatens Luke. Vader himself has arrived on tattooine. Sensing his former padawan, Ben decides that luring Vader away from tattooine is the best way for him keep Luke safe. Ben solicits the help of Hondo Onaka to smuggle him to Corellia. A very dangerous choice for kenobi, but also one that could allow him to easily give away his position to Vader and the inquisitors. He also requests many types of high explosives. In exchange, kenobi will help Hondo retrieve precious coaxium. Kenobi intentionally gives away his position by sabotaging imperial shipping yards. Probe droids pick up images of this Jedi with the blue lightsaber, long hair and beard. During this time, kenobi retrieves coaxium and instructs Hondo on where to wait for him to exfiltrate the area The images of kenobi are sent to Vader while he and the inquisitors are interrogating persons of interest on tattooine. To this point, they have found evidence for the path but need more to find out where the location of the force sensitive children are Vader is overcome with anger when he sees kenobi. He immediately drops the investigation and commands his inquisitors to follow him to corellia and eliminate kenobi. Vader and the inquisitors arrive on corellia, kenobi has taken to hiding in the sewers (where we get a short cameo of a child Han Solo) Kenobi taps into the force, he reaches out to his padawan in his mind, and Vader answers. This leads Vader down into the sewers just as kenobi wanted. In the bottom of a sewer shaft, there stands kenobi, with his lightsaber ready. A flashback ensues quickly of the scene where obiwan and Anikin sparr with each other. After a few seconds, each lightsaber clash makes the scene cut to their last duel that left anikin burnt to a crisp. Vader lashes out and begins quickly trying to overcome obi-wan, but Ben is calm and collected, easily parrying vaders lightsaber attacks. As the battle drags on, Vader starts using the force to throw objects at obiwan. The second sister attempts to kill obiwan from behind, but she is cut down. Obiwan uses the force to crush a water pipe that rushes into the sewer, giving him enough cover to escape while Vader flees the sewer himself. Obiwan makes it back to Hondo’s ship who helps him escape. Because Kenobi led the inquisitors away from tattooine in time, those who were running the path were able to escape and destroy all of the evidence remaining. Kenobi returns to tattooine, having successfully fooled Vader and his inquisitors. This is just a short fan fic I guess, but I feel like if I had more time and space, whatever j could write would probably be better than what we got. Just sayin
This sounds a little better but even in your take, Vader would never ever step foot back on Tattoine. George Lucas himself said that. To much pain and loss. Doesn’t make sense for his character to do that.

You could also do bits of Luke learning/ growing up with uncle Owen and why to be wary of sand people(killed his grandmother)etc. I haven't watched the show but this could be interesting.
Disney needs to stop with the "Storm-troopers are useless" trope - it was funny for a while in Mandalorian, but I'm over it. The Empire is NOT a joke, and storm troopers are well trained and well armored - they should not be treated like cartoon characters.
@@Lakrimoz I still think they are taken seriously. One of the most tense moments in the show is when Kenobi is sitting opposite the storm troopers on that mining planet.

You nailed it pretty much on all points. This is the Reeva show mostly. Obi is a side character. The incompetence of everyone in the show is absurd. It's also like this show was made by people that don't like Star Wars and want to remake it with their vision while Mando and Boba Fett like they were written by Star Wares fans for Star Wars. This has Last Jedi vibes and Disney/Kathleen Kennedy touches al over it.
The character of Reva is everything these writers have to offer morally. She represents, indeed. She represents all the problems we are having with today's scripts.
@@Dragonage2ftw Geezus dude, NO! It's not Moses race nor her acting. She does fine work with what she has to work with (script). The problem with Reva is the writing, it sucks terribly, just like all the writing. Disney has truly screwed this up. Lucas made a huge mistake selling to Disney. The animated series, Mando, Solo and Rogue One were the only Star Wars films they got right. The Reva character has much potential but I don't expect it to thrive. Because of her race? No for God's sake. It's because Disney fucks up everything that is Star Wars.
Reva's story would be pretty good if it ended in episode 5 with her dead. It would be a cautionary tale about revenge not being in line with the light side of the force. Of course, Reva's actually going to be a good guy by season's end, possibly saving all the remaining Jedi, and Luke himself. And she probably put her consciousness into Luke, which is the only reason he saved Vader and killed the Emperor. Or some shit.
I commented in another video on the subject that a new hope actually has reva in the background doing all the stuff we thought Ben and Luke did. You know. Save Leia. Beat the empire. And shit.
@@josipmarasovic7084 I don't know about that, a lot of what ppl have been saying have been aimed at the actors. Yea you can say "they're bad actors' but sometimes ppl get carried away imo.
Totally agree. I just absolutely hate what Disney has done with George's creation. Badly written scripts with a piss poor plot. Although nothing still beats the collosal shit show that was the last trilogy.
I feel bad for Hayden and Ewan. They gave it there all in this performance and did a very good job. But good acting and performance does not fix bad writing.
They know the sort of place Hollyweird/pedowood is, with series like star wars leading the pack in the ruination of beloved fantasy universes. They signed on for the $ knowing full well that the show really should have been called " Reva and friends ".
One major problem I had with Obi Wan the series was in the final episode: I felt that there was no sense of peril or threat of death for Obi wan, Vader, Owen, Beru or Luke, because they're all alive at the start of 'A New Hope'. So there was no sense of danger at all. It's like if you watched 'Return of the Jedi' first and then afterwards watched 'Empire Strikes Back'. You'd already know how these characters' arcs end, thus there'd be no sense of danger at all for them.
With the terrible writing so far, I’m afraid that Reva will probably save Luke in the last episode. And so it’s because of her that Luke remains safe, not Obi Wan. She’s the ‘real heroe’.
The one single thing that SHOULD have happened in the Interrogation scene is that Rita had Leah's little droid and should have FORCE CRUSHED it in her hands. That would have made all those little girls out there in the audience cringe in grief over that little 'so cute droid' they clearly would have loved. It is only a droid, and would have added so much emotional weight to the scene.

At this point Disney has made lightsabers lame. We have 3 instances in the show where someone gets stabbed by a light beam that should liquify your organs and yet get back up like it's fine. Why did Qui-Gon die again? At this point I am expecting Dooku to just pop back up with a small scar on his neck.
Because its been shown many times that dark side users if strong enough can live on even with missing limbs. Maul did it, Vader did it, Darth Sion from kotor 2 did it. The problem is I don't believe for a second reva could do the same.
maul was not human, and also motivated by rage and the dark side to survive. anakin was the most powerful force user ever. and used the dark side. reva is a human who isn't that strong in the force.
wait a few month until we get Qui-Gon series and find out he actually survived. and the force ghost is just gonna be his unconscious projecting himself to Ben, asking for help to rescue his body so he can live again
Reva is neither a compelling villain or an interesting anti-hero. If they would have committed to making her plainly evil maybe it could have worked, but honestly the actor just isn't very good.
I think it leans to heavily into the platform message. Where the women are self taught, self trained. Rey, shang chi's sister and now Reva. The Reva character and actress performance were poorly executed. This probably won't have worked in any incarnation.
I suspected from the start that anything "evil" Reva did in the show, should just have been done by Vader, and anything "good" she did could have been done by Obiwan... No reason for the character to exist whatsoever other than to put the visual of a black female head on top of Vader's body.
I don't see what's so bad about the character Reva..... It was a solid intermixing between Obi-wan and Vader. A grayness to the black/white of good/evil. And a depiction to show truly how lost and evil Vader has become. To the point he makes Reva and the grand inquisitor look harmless in comparison. Obi-Wan didn't fear Reva even though she was against him. But Obi-Wan was terrified of Vader. You people are insufferable, nothing is good enough for you lmfao. Shit in legends there are like 4 different grand inquisitors and 20+ inquisitors. But Disney makes a few and you all lose your minds because one is black. LOL
@@TheLarknessMonster Disney can make all the "inquisitors" they want, they just can't insert them into the actual parts of the canon that matter, the original trilogy and the life on Anakin Skywalker, I don't give a shit what they look like.
The difference between the inquisitor base break in here and the Death Star escape in ANH is that TARKIN WANTED THE HEROES TO ESCAPE. Leia even picks up on the Stormtroopers aiming badly and allowing them to leave on the Falcon. This show is a horrible mess.
Don't forget that Darth Vader can feel the presence of others from a very very large distance away (even force choke from a long distance). But feeling the presence of others on a second ship... not on Disney's logical writers mind!
I thought about this, my idea was that he let his emotions, and frustration with obiwan lead him to missing that critical detail that there was another ship
Not to say Darth Vader is a sith lord that can't properly kill a force sensible inquisitor lackey, coherence and logic in this franchise flew out of the window a long time ago, got replaced by laziness and bad excuses. The fact that young Leia even appears and is the main focus of this show it's comedic the least.
The impression I got from the original film Star Wars (the one without a subtitle) is that Leia never met Obi-Wan but that she heard about him from her father and that both Obi-Wan and Luke were hidden on a planet that nobody in the Empire cared about, with only Vader himself knowing about its significance (because his relatives Beru and Owen living there. So "Kenobi" travels in Prequel territory in so far as it messes up the back story even more.
She never met him, she was in search of his character, but she never had the connection that they portrayed on the show. It's very clear from the first movie and from decades of lore added later.
@@rpgadventurer32 Yep. That’s primarily why this show sucks so bad. The other major problem is the original film clearly indicates that Obi-Wan and Vader never crossed paths again from the time they fought on Mustafar to the final fight on the Death Star.
I really don't want to argue, I am genuinely curious, why did you get the impression that they never met, Leia and Obi-Wan? I first saw the movie dubbed in Spanish so something might have gotten lost in translation, but to me, it sounded as if they had met and there was trust and that was why she was reaching out to the only person she thought could deliver. But again, it might have been a mistake, is it explicitly said somewhere thought the films? I just never thought of it, I assumed they knew each other enough for there to be trust.
Even though Obi-Wan is my favorite character, I am so glad I chose not to watch this. Now I don't have to try to forget it as I deny it being canon. Why is it they could CGI a sixty-something Mark Hamill to look late 20s, but they couldn't make a forty-something Haydn look twenty? Haydn looks good for his age, but he doesn't look close to 20. I expected this to be activism, but I didn't expect it to be so bad from a creative perspective (writing, directing, acting, story, etc.). It's almost as if Disney has hired people based on something other than merit and experience, and they don't actually know how to do their jobs at the required level. Oh wait, that is what happened.
Yeah, this was the ONLY thing that I was interested from Disney Star Wars but the minute I heard the spoilers I was like, “FUCK THAT. I’m not giving my time to that nonsense.” And it was way worst than I ever imagined.
Here I was thinking that Luke and Leia were supposed to be hidden. Imagine, if you will, Kenobi plunging around the galaxy trying to hide or save the surviving Jedi, Padawan, and younglings without alerting Vader to his presence then abruptly needing to race back to Tatooine to rescue Luke from the Hutts, Tuscan raiders, or random thugs. Then imagine that the stress of all of this accelerated his aging.accounting for his appearance in A New Hope.
It could have been a show about hide and chase. as obi-wan and vader are kinda force linked (they sense each other between long distances). Everytime that bigass star destroyer would jump into the system (finally with actual imperial march music!) and they have to run again and again. Until obi-wan realises it is him who endangers the children and he need's to force meditate to stay out of sight (a huge strain on his body).
Okay, that (Dave Chappelle/Rick James)"SLAP!" part almost killed me. I can't believe the writers thought that act made any sense on Stormtrooper armor. Meanwhile, Jyn Erso's defense/attack moves (from Rogue One) made perfect sense.
I have a friend who was sooo excited for the Kenobi series. He is a big Star Wars fan and a generally positive person, and was sure it would be as good or better than the Mandalorian. But he has had a very difficult time defending this series to me so far. In fact, after each episode, he just gets more and more depressed. He is young, in his early twenties, so I don't blame him for not seeing this coming. Much to learn about corporate greed, he still has.

What gets me is how patheric lightsabers have become. They used to be deadly and fearsome weapons in the hand of a skilled warrior, now they are little more than glowing foam bats and getting run through by one is something you can walk off like a stubbed toe. First off consider what species the grand inquisitor is. He has 2 stomachs so getting stabbed in one wouldn’t really kill him. Secondly, I’m guessing Vader didn’t want to kill reva, he wanted to humiliate her.

This whole show is like Fallen Order. Re play that game and tell me otherwise. Only it did everything better. Someone cut of from the force FOR A GOOD REASON, Jedi who get turned to the dark side and work for Vader was also done better. The game also just did the whole thing of being between the PT and the OT. It draw from it, used it own new characters without deconstructing the originals. Kal isn't better then Luke nor does he need to be. His mentor isn't Ben Kenobi nor does she need to be. They all have their own stories that are well told.
It’s so sad to see qui-gon jinns character end from a stab to the stomach in episode one, but then see other character survive? How? it always seems like in Disney Star Wars is evil never ends, but good does…
I still am disappointed not one single episode of Star Wars was called "The Duel of the Fates". They had it planned too. But yeah when I saw that slap to the stormtrooper...
I should be groaning at the fact that Reva taught herself Force powers and how to correctly use them.....but why the hell should I complain about Riva training herself, when Rey Mary Sue Palpatine Skywalker didn't even train at all and yet became the most awesomest, most bestest Force sensitive ever?
No woman in Disney can be taught anything now. They teach themselves because the power of v supercedes everything and definitely need no training and no man.
Oh right just like Grand Inquistor "broke canon" but then they used his supposed "death" as a shocking reveal? What happened to people can't even wait for future episodes to make all these crazy claims, also Reva is being trained RIGHT NOW by GI and Vader, do you think they just injured her and flew away to be mean? No this is how Sith train students by hardcore punishments.
I saw the twist about her being a former Padawan coming because she’s a fncking Inquisitor! They’re ALL former Padawans! What I didn’t see coming was her plan to fight Vader; because it’s actually retarded.
Vader ( a survivor of being left alive to seek revenge) repeats the mistake. How did that transport get off the planet without an ion cannon? Why didn't the captain of the star destroyer not have a screen of TIE fighter up? He is going to get force choked for sure. That was all of five minutes of this stupid show. Just lazy.
Don't you know, in Disney SW canon Tie Fighters are only ever launched once it is already too late. Otherwise we would have had hundreds of Ties swarming the Resistance fleet at the beginning of TLJ, as they would have been launched as soon as the destroyers came and the dreadnought came out of hyperspace.
Please don´t forget : All these people waiting OUTSIDE the Transport, with their luggage, for the bay doors to open. So they can waste time again getting on board as soon as the door opens ?

Also sending a small child up a ladder into a “live” electrical panel to bypass high voltage breakers by picking at high voltage wires is very next level too, however Leia could be a licensed electrician specializing in industrial high voltage panels without having to look at electrical schematics or wiring labels at all to bypass control devices, must be the force or something

It was almost comical at times and completely ridiculous writing, how this crap got past quality control I'll never know, it just shows they don't give a toss about the quality of the content they are putting out. Such a shame for the fans who have been waiting a long time for this. They have tore George's starwars to peices with this message crap and it's ruined the storytelling. RIP STARWARS
There is no quality control in disney, they’re too bigoted thinking all they vomit is the best… Side note: like it how all the storm troopers drown once they are in contact with water immediately! These stormtroopers that are one hit are from the LEGO star wars games or?
The fact that Reva survived a stab yet Grand inquisitor fell down and was out for the count shows the writing. To me it really feels like they swapped her motivation. It does seem normal to a plan but how they showed it seems like she can’t make up her mind
And not to mention the species that the grand inquisitor comes from has 2 stomachs. Somehow a being that has another functioning stomach after the first one is damaged is closer to death than a regular human getting stabbed in the stomach is laughable.
she survived because she was stabbed in that same spot as a kid and probably has some fake body part where she was stabbed again. the grand inquisitor was stabbed in his actual flesh made stomach.
@@kreiyu Oh, Jesus. Of course people have to come up with some ridiculous explanation for this mess, totally ignoring that there are TWO experienced and forcesensitive persons standing right in front of Reva. Remember Ep. 3? Yoda sensing the death of the other yedi through the force; Anakin sensing that padme was still alive after he choked her on a mustafar. There is no way that these two wouldn't have recognized that she is still alive. And btw: BOTH have a strong motivation to kill her - Vader for her constant failure and betrayal and the Grandinquisitor for... well she took his job and stabbed him with a laser sword. AND they are the bad guys. I don't think I hve to go on on this topic. With much good will someone may accept your point, but just like "sOmehOW PaLpatIne reTurned" it brings up more questions that it really answers (I have shown this above). It's just poor and lazy writing that constantly continues. Someone asked for another example? Take Organas call. He cries about not hearing anything from Kenobi, but stating also that they agreed not contacting each other. WTF? But that's not all: The plot only continues, because Kenobi forgot his communicator, with this sensible information (why he didn't deleted it?!) and Reva finding it. Serious, the series could have ended there, with Reva dying and all would be fine, easily avoiding all thi bsh*t. It only has a sixth part, because of not one but three (!) stupid actions/"coincidences" (the call, not deleting the data, forgetting the communicator there).
I think Shakespeare was talking about Disney Star Wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

The EFAP guys rightfully pointed out that in the Disney Star Wars shows, Tatooine, that planet that’s the furthest from the bright center of the universe by Luke’s estimation has become this all important hub, while in the one show that SHOULD take place on Tatooine primarily, Obi Wan Can Blow Me, they immediately take off to other locations. Yeah ,Disney did humiliate some of the most iconic characters in the cinema history-like Luke, obi wan and Vader.....but in reality is the movie goers who did it.....why on earth any one should spend money to watch SW after ep.3?!?
Between the easily slapped and done stormtroopers with shitty aim, their apparent wanton destruction of property that produces stuff for no reason, Vader killing people for no reason and nothing is being guarded, the fact that the rebellion isn't fully supported, fighting and defeating imperials and taking over planets is really interesting. They could've killed the Emperor with how little guarded anything was. More competent dictatorships than the empire have fallen to less resistance than what the resistance has in this show.
Yeah it's incredibly dumb. The Empire is supposed to be this incredibly powerful and scary dictatorship but everything we get shown of them is incompetence and horrible soldiers. The rebels could've beat them within a year with little hardship.
"could have killed the Emperor" lol the imperial guard was mainly there to make people believe Palpatine needed protection, and if anyone outside the imperial guard ever saw palpatine use his power all witnesses had to be eliminated.
Its like Disney are focusing on the word ‘evil’ in ‘Evil Empire’ and forgetting the word ‘Empire’. “They are EVIL and they know it. So they must be incompetent because to be so is EVIL! Also, they REWARD EVIL behaviour so they give Reva a promotion for betraying orders! Heck, have her kill her boss, the Empire will reward her with his position. Also, have the Officers scream and shout orders. Don’t forget to have the Storm Troopers do a not-really nazi salute!”
@@bobbyhulll8737 I guess you mean when they let Leia, Han and Luke escape on purpose from the Death Star? Or do you mean Episode 6, when the Stormtroopers ambushed by the Ewoks started to massacre them until Chewbacca managed to take control of an AT-ST, thereby turning the tide? Stormtroopers were quite competent in the OT when they boarded Leia's ship or when they found out where the droids were and slaughtered the Jawas. Or when they took the Rebel base at Hooth.
@@StephenSchusterE You must be young? I enjoy shows too that I have no background for but the writing is horrible. SNW has bad writing, much better than discovery but not on par with Star Trek. The disrespect for the captain is infuriating because he is a white male I guess?
I gave up after episode 3, so like many others I'm watching this disaster vicariously through Gary, Az & others. But I have to say: the plot for this is so needlessly convoluted. I would have preferred instead a deep character study of maturing Obi-Wan. Increasing his knowledge of the force in solitude, communicating with Qui-Gon to become more powerful. Knowing that he would most probably be having to face his old friend Anakin again. I wouldn't have a confrontation with them in the show though. Because unlike the writer, I've watched "all the Star wars." Instead, what if occasionally Obi-Wan & Anakin/Vader communicate through the force? And through that plot device we get to see that there is still a sliver of good in Anakin. And BOOM! We've added some more deapth to the Vader character & we can explore the relationship between Anakin (& Vader) & Obi-Wan. I'm at home with the flu (not covid) & I'm coming up with better story elements that the retard who wrote this show! Another great video Gary.
I don't like any scenario in which Vader and Obi-wan are in contact. But I do think there's plenty they can do (or could have done) revolving around Obi-wan keeping Luke's identity safe - and apparently the first thing he should've done was stuck a lightsaber through Bail Organa's stomach. Wait. No. That doesn't work. Slice Bail organa in half and drop the halves down a 200-story shaft. Oh. Wait. That doesn't work. Just throw him into a fusion reactor that then triggers a nuclear explosion. FUCK ME! THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER? You know what, I give up. Pay Verizon for a Voicemail service and just sell the account to the Empire so they can listen-in on Bail Organa spilling every secret in the galaxy. Maybe they can figure out how to kill him once he's given up all of the rebels.
Ewan McGregor is a good actor giving it his all in this role, and seems to genuinely care about the franchise. It's a shame the writers and producers don't.

How are we supposed to take The Empire as a serious threat when every new Star Wars piece of media that comes out shows it's military becoming more and more incompetent and stupid? I'm surprised The Empire lasted even a single year with how awful they depict them.
Culminating in RoS where Palpatine unleashes a massive army, of which he had been diligently preparing for over two decades, only to be thwarted by an un-prepared bunch of ill-equipped zoomers on horses in mere minutes. Himself being disintegrated after being told he was up against “All the Jedi”…you know, the very same Jedi HE SINGLEHANDEDLY DISMANTLED DECADES PRIOR, meaning he was literally destroyed by a power that is statistically weaker than him.
Yup, no disney product with the empire in it has stakes. Rogue one did a MUCH better job at it, still not the best, but at least there was something in it
Loved the footage of Anakin & Obi-Wan falling in the speeder from Episode II in the background showing the stock prices plummeting. Also the Better Call Saul music was a nice touch too! 👌🏻

Just want to put my 2 cents in. Played football for a lot of years as a lineman. When Tala smacks the stormtrooper on the side of the helmet that’s would have been plenty enough to get the upper hand. She's just a bad actor who was given an even shittier role that written and directed poorly
They don’t start with a good story and characters, then find actors to play them. They start with wanting to cast a black woman, a little girl, and other pathetic sjw tropes and then write story around that.

They all got quotas to fill and must portray "the message". I guess CRT and the growing anti-whiteism doesn't help either, making blackwashing of characters a recurring thing. I thought that was racist when white people did it, but appearantly OK when it's done the other way around...
What could have been:
Taking a cue from Legends and make Tattooine an interesting and dangerous place where Luke and his foster parents need some protection from time to time.

Exactly
Boba Fett was another great premise. Ex-bounty hunter now running his own galactic crime ring? That could've been so fucking cool but no, they water it down so much to the point that the show was boring and served more as a teaser for the next Mandalorian season than anything else.
They then proceed to hide behind the I'm pretty sure they faked it, racism

How the series could have gone if the men were as competent in this show as they are in cannon…..
Reva is brutally tortured by the grand inquisitor in episode 1 for insubordination and he discovers reva’s plan because she is weak and feeble minded.
Grand inquisitor brings this knowledge to Vader, Vader uses the force to extract memories from reva that reveals the location of force sensitive children.
Reva is executed by Vader and placed in the fortress inquisitorious along with all the other dead Jedi
One of the locations of force sensitive kids happens to be on tatooine.
The inquisitors are dispatched back to tattooine to investigate, they learn of something called “the path”
Meanwhile, Ben kenobi feels a great disturbance in the force, something is coming that threatens Luke.
During this time, kenobi retrieves coaxium and instructs Hondo on where to wait for him to exfiltrate the area
The images of kenobi are sent to Vader while he and the inquisitors are interrogating persons of interest on tattooine. To this point, they have found evidence for the path but need more to find out where the location of the force sensitive children are
Vader is overcome with anger when he sees kenobi. He immediately drops the investigation and commands his inquisitors to follow him to corellia and eliminate kenobi.
Vader and the inquisitors arrive on corellia, kenobi has taken to hiding in the sewers (where we get a short cameo of a child Han Solo)
Kenobi taps into the force, he reaches out to his padawan in his mind, and Vader answers.
Just sayin
It actually gives some respect to the fact than men can be competent. That's simply not allowed in DIsney anymore.

I don’t feel sorry for them. They could have said no.
You'd already know how these characters' arcs end, thus there'd be no sense of danger at all for them.
that's the problem with any prequel

How did that transport get off the planet without an ion cannon?
Why didn't the captain of the star destroyer not have a screen of TIE fighter up? He is going to get force choked for sure.
That was all of five minutes of this stupid show. Just lazy.
The base had no massive shield like Hoth so the destroyer should have bombarded the crap out of that base.

She bypass the compressor
So the explanation already given is not good enough for you, geniuses? She only had to find a red button. @@reek4062 No he didn't. Pay attention to what Kathleen Kennedy has done.

Oh, Jesus.
9:22 "She sneaks up on vader"? She legit screams before slashing😂😂😂
I think Shakespeare was clairvoyant and could see the future.

It’s like doing a Lord Of The Rings Show, but making The Shire even more important than Gondor, Rivendell, Mordor, and Rohan combined.

"could have killed the Emperor" lol
the imperial guard was mainly there to make people believe Palpatine needed protection, and if anyone outside the imperial guard ever saw palpatine use his power all witnesses had to be eliminated.
Yeah because Storm troopers were never easily defeated .. Jesus .. Re watch the movies

@@Rich-hm9ux The Gorn ep was pretty good.
Because unlike the writer, I've watched "all the Star wars."
Instead, what if occasionally Obi-Wan & Anakin/Vader communicate through the force?
And through that plot device we get to see that there is still a sliver of good in Anakin.
And BOOM! We've added some more deapth to the Vader character & we can explore the relationship between Anakin (& Vader) & Obi-Wan.
I'm at home with the flu (not covid) & I'm coming up with better story elements that the retard who wrote this show!
Another great video Gary.
Could have even had Vader and Obi Wan in the same area during events, maybe able to feel eachother through the force, but not actually meet.
So the answer is to wage biological warfare on the Evil Mouse so their writers come up with better stories? I'm down with.

I could have gotten behind a short series showing Vader trying to chase down Obi-Wan, who either escapes barely (never having seen each other), leading Vader further from Tatooine, or Vader being called away to deal with the larger military/political situation, with the Emperor reprimanding him for chasing down ghost stories of a man long dead. When Tala smacks the stormtrooper on the side of the helmet that’s would have been plenty enough to get the upper hand.
