What about hammer drill? I bought this model assuming it would get through brick, but it doesn't. Or at least if it does I have no idea how (yes I have the right bit).

I've got a 34 piece Drill Set and the drills have round ends and the screwdriver bits have a hex ends

Hi Silver Jay they still sell wired drills for the really heavy jobs. This battery drill is great for general household duty. Curiously my first house had impenetrable concrete walls.
