I don't know if the times were simpler, may have seemed that way for us as teenagers. Love The Box. I am in the middle of a deep rabbit hole of Canadian 8Ts music!
I haven't seen or heard these songs for over 20 years. I've tried searching online but no sucess. Thank you!!! I saw these guys in Halifax in July 1990: they sounded just like you hear them here on UA-cam. The Box are truly a part of Canadian history and culture.
widely underrated but a really great band..always love their unique sound...reminds me of my youth in the 80s...such a great time..as a life long drummer i was more attracted to my idols in drumming as my favorite groups...but for great sounding all around music these fellow canucks are awesome!!! also thats where sass jordan got her start!!! we might have amazing tech now but...life was better in the 80s and so was the music!!! plus you gotta luv us french canadians eh?? lol
I wish lyrics like those would be used in today's music... But I know it's impossible since today artists don't make you feel the way like The Box did back in the days. Thank you guys!
I love being from Montreal/Canada; a lot of the really great bands come out of Canada esp montreal/toronto and out west... I saw them when they opened for Chris de burgh then when they did ordinary people/their second and i believe last album...what happened to them; loved the synthesizer it was fairly new at the time.....
Lisa I came from England in /78 and was amazed at the sheer amount if quality bands here fir such a small population. What happened? Shame so few good ones now!
@@RavMan40 Sure it is, but don't forget that the ancient Celtic tribes settled in France at one point. They were widespread throughout central Europe and ultimately made their way into Ireland and Great Britain.
They in my opinion as a musician and poet are really something significant in Quebecois and Canadian music, absolutely the best in my estimation, i saw them back then, wow, world class! Terri Montreal
I saw these guys in 1984 during my first year - during frosh week, at UNB..I've been a fan since. I can still hear the reverberation, coming off of the Bridges House residence, when they started the first guitar licks on "Must I Always Remember"
Such good memories. This came out in the last few weeks of my third year of university and it takes me back to my roommates and the fun we used to have.
Takes me back to when I was 12. I started noticing girls, I had a crush on Madonna, my parents were younger than what I am now and I thought that someday life would be better. Then I grew up.
My name is Jamie, I really love this wonderful 80s song. The 80s were a blast for playing great music. I would love to go back into a time machine so badly.
Yesterday, I heard that song for the 1st time ever on radio and I really loved it. I know a few songs from The Box but I was really amazed while hearing My dreams of you.
The box were an amazing band and part of my growing up and this video is hilarious this band always had a great sense of humor just remember first seeing this clip on muchmusic back in the day good memories indeed
Hey, I was in Halifax and saw these guys at the bandshell in the park. Is that where you saw them? I've loved them ever since. Years later I actually met the lead singer in a bar in Montreal. Great guy.
Folks, this is back in the days when not EVERYone saw the video, like some of us didn't GET MTV even. Songs still had to stand on their own. One of my all time favourite bands. Good grief, I'm old.
Quite literally the most original pop music I've ever heard out of Canada, during the days where Canada was known as the producer of generic pop music. Oh wait, it still is.
OMG! I saw this back in '86, when I was a student at Laurentian University on MuchMusic. (University name is only necessary as I was a U.S. exchange student there.) I haven't seen this video in 25 years!
YES... You should BUY this #CD for your #Library, to hear it with the #Optimal Quality! But, if you Must Insist, you should be capable of finding it on #Vinyl... ABSOLUTELY!
LMFAO I Just Sold This Same Cadillac Not 2 Months Back ....Those were the Years !!! When cars Were Cars and Music Was This Good !!! VR0o0o0o0o0om....Just Cruisin!!!!
still a great song. the keyboard notes are awesome. the band should have physically played the song as part of the video instead of those weird clips. song brings back high school memories
This Band and its #INCREDIBLE repertoire were breaking through but seem to have become #FORGOTTEN, sadly... Wonderful Videos with meaningful and Yes, some #HAUNTING ones too!!! The Box is such an underrated group. One of Canada’s best groups and definitely in the 80’s….👍🏻
The beautiful music of the 80's...
It never grows old.
One of the most talented groups of all time. In my opinion, Jean-Marc Pisapia had the most beautiful voice for any male rock singer in history.
Simpler times. Crazy this was 85, almost like a lifetime ago.. Great tune.
Agreed. Sadly it was so long ago. :( I also enjoyed One 2 Ones music from that time period. Cheers.
I don't know if the times were simpler, may have seemed that way for us as teenagers. Love The Box. I am in the middle of a deep rabbit hole of Canadian 8Ts music!
I was looking for this song for almost 30 years!
Some people lose their hopes looking for love that long... But not me!
The perfection of this song makes me want to cry.
My God. I haven't heard this in 26 years. What a delight!
Jean-Marc's voice is so frickin beautiful. Melts me every time I hear him :)
so true where is he now?
God would it be great to see these classics in higher resolution, but seeing this is good also, bless the Box for making such great music and videos.
Always loved The Box... one of the best Canadian bands from the 80s.
I agree great song and great underrated band, Never could figure out why they did not get more air play.
The best of the Box in my opinion. No one rocked the keyboard with harmony quite like they did. I love this song.
The Box have SO much melody in their music right from day one! I wish I had gone to see them when they played in Brantford in 2015!
I haven't seen or heard these songs for over 20 years. I've tried searching online but no sucess. Thank you!!! I saw these guys in Halifax in July 1990: they sounded just like you hear them here on UA-cam. The Box are truly a part of Canadian history and culture.
I finally saw them in concert on Friday. Just amazing!

One of the top songs of the 80s -- no question about it.
I've been doing my part to spread The Box around. JM could write a hell of a song.
Amazing music!! Avery underrated Canadian band!! Please bring back this style of music arrangement!!
I wish lyrics like those would be used in today's music... But I know it's impossible since today artists don't make you feel the way like The Box did back in the days. Thank you guys!
Heard it on radio the other day. First time in 15 year most likely. What an amazing melodic tune. perfect.

I've always loved the Celtic melody in this tune.
I find this to be distinctly French...Steve..

TONY FINELLI OH que Oui!!!
This is an underrated band. Wow great song! Lots of great songs from the box.
Love this band. I remember when they were performing at the late Bourbon Street in St-Sauver, Qc. Just great memories. Merci la gang.
Montreal in the 80's was the best place to grow up :)

What can you say, great song.
Timeless.
I love the emotion in his voice, it is so deep. This song reminds me of a girl I used to love just like the lyrics... Thanks for sharing !

Hidden gem of a song
The Box used the synthesizer as effectively as anyone. Riff after riff the kept putting out catchy songs that stuck in your head.
So beautiful that it almost makes my stomach hurt. I can't say enough about this masterpiece of pop.
You are right, the song is Amazing
I think know your feeling.
Seen them many times and they never disappoint! Very underrated
Fantastique! This an awesome song I heard on 97.3 Boom FM today on my drive home. Unreal I haven't heard it until now
Hello my name is Jamie, I love boom 97.3 as well..

Takes me back to when I was 12. I started noticing girls, I had a crush on Madonna, my parents were younger than what I am now and I thought that someday life would be better. Then I grew up.
Saw The Box open for the Pretenders in 1984. Great music, so distinctive and creative. This song is their best.
I saw them "live"... Kudos!
Un des rares jeunes a encore écouter ce groupe et j'en suis fier ! :)
My name is Jamie, I really love this wonderful 80s song. The 80s were a blast for playing great music. I would love to go back into a time machine so badly.

I used to think what good comes out of Quebec, and The Box was it.
Hey I just discovered a band called "The Box"! I heard all these songs and never heard of the name of the band...now I know..great stuff!!!
Bringing me back in 2021!
All the time, all the time, all the time

Great song...definitely a remix for the single promo.

I miss the 80’s

Great 80s band. Their more recent prog orientation is quite interesting too. Check out 'Black Dog There'.
Very silly video, but love this song, love to sing a long and the lyrics.
Is this an earlier version of the song or something? It sounds a little different than the one I’m accustomed to hearing from them.
damn insane!
i love thi song
:d
Quel voix !😊
so fucking good
The singer reminds me of Colin Hay from Men at Work
