Guitarist Claude Thibeault, bassist Jean-Pierre Brie, drummer Phillipe Bernard and keyboard player Guy Pisapia asked vocalist Jean-Marc Pisapia to join them as the Box in 1982. He agreed, and the band released their first album (self-titled) two years later. Although all the members were French Canadian, they mostly sang in English. All the Time, All the Time, All the Time followed in 1985, but the band didn't make it in Canada until 1987's Closer Together. Their last album was The Pleasure and the Pain in 1990; after Bernand and Guy Pisapia left in 1992, the greatest hits compilation A Decade of the Box was released in 1993.

The Box is such an underrated group. One of Canada’s best groups and definitely in the 80’s….👍🏻

One of the most talented groups of all time. In my opinion, Jean-Marc Pisapia had the most beautiful voice for any male rock singer in history.
God would it be great to see these classics in higher resolution, but seeing this is good also, bless the Box for making such great music and videos.

I haven't seen or heard these songs for over 20 years. I've tried searching online but no sucess. Thank you!!! I saw these guys in Halifax in July 1990: they sounded just like you hear them here on UA-cam. The Box are truly a part of Canadian history and culture.

widely underrated but a really great band..always love their unique sound...reminds me of my youth in the 80s...such a great time..as a life long drummer i was more attracted to my idols in drumming as my favorite groups...but for great sounding all around music these fellow canucks are awesome!!! also thats where sass jordan got her start!!! we might have amazing tech now but...life was better in the 80s and so was the music!!! plus you gotta luv us french canadians eh?? lol

The Box used the synthesizer as effectively as anyone. Riff after riff the kept putting out catchy songs that stuck in your head.
I finally saw them in concert on Friday. Just amazing!

I love being from Montreal/Canada; a lot of the really great bands come out of Canada esp montreal/toronto and out west... I saw them when they opened for Chris de burgh then when they did ordinary people/their second and i believe last album...what happened to them; loved the synthesizer it was fairly new at the time.....

@@RavMan40 Sure it is, but don't forget that the ancient Celtic tribes settled in France at one point. They were widespread throughout central Europe and ultimately made their way into Ireland and Great Britain.

Takes me back to when I was 12. I started noticing girls, I had a crush on Madonna, my parents were younger than what I am now and I thought that someday life would be better. Then I grew up.
I saw these guys in 1984 during my first year - during frosh week, at UNB..I've been a fan since. I can still hear the reverberation, coming off of the Bridges House residence, when they started the first guitar licks on "Must I Always Remember"
