Here an Awadhi speaking guy.. our second language is Hindi because it is easy to us and have lots of similarities with 15s of regional languages in north. Hindi unites whole North. While languages in south has no connection with hindi/Sanskrit. Why should they learn our language? If you are working in South India, speak in English to natives. There are so many north Indians there to help you in hindi. Just go to hindi speaking vendor for daily needs if you don't know English. Language is a matter of interest. You can't force Hindi on anyone nor others can impose their language on you.

The whole point of kannadigas demanding migrants to learn kannada is because of the disrespectful behavior by the self proclaimed so-called economy boosters. And this doesn't apply only to the hindi speaking crowd, this applies to anybody who is Indian and doesn't know how to behave in front of kannadigas. They badmouth our language, land, culture and people as if they own our land. While the reality is that Kannadigas are the most welcoming people on the planet. They like integrating with all other cultures, they are polite and respect people in general. When they are going out of their way to accommodate a polite interaction for others and in return if they receive badmouthing on food, people, culture and land, that's when the topic of intolerance arises. Thali ek haath se nahi bhajthi, if you can't respect us why do you expect us to respect you. This is one part of the crowd, look at the other crowd that loves kannadigas and say that they are very polite and respectful.
While i agree to the point that Kannadigas are welcoming and polite, on ground reality in Bengaluru is different. I am not saying what's happening is done by Kannadigas- i am saying there's a lot of politics in this, and you cant deny that.

Why not everyone learn English ..which makes it a lot easier for all move forward .
If anyone is discriminated based on language it’s wrong, equally wrong is if language is imposed.
There are more pressing issues at hand than a mere language. If anyone want to learn they will and if they don’t it’s their choice
I also think that every Indian should learn the language of every state of India when we can learn English and Urdu then why can't we learn other languages of India
I agree with you......we should have one comman language so we can communicate with our indian people and can come together but that doesn't mean we should forget our mother languages because it's makes us colourful and beautiful ......peace✌️......
If South Indians have so much problem with the Hindi Language then they should also not use English Language and South Indian producers shoud not dubbed South Indian language movies into Hindi Language.
If north indians have so much problem learning kannada then they can leave karnataka.
No, South India should form a separate country.
Yha cast cast km tha kya jo ab north south bhi hogyaa .
Bhai yeh aab se thodi chal raha hai, it's been a pressing issue since long. We are just highlighting it for awareness.
As per my suggestion if anyone works in other state they should respect local language and learn and speak in that only. When I worked in meerut, I learnt hindi and spoken with locals. Basically I am from andhra where not at all use hindi language.
Don't call South. One and only state was famous for language Politics.
Politicians are always going to do caste politics and language politics to avoid national parties in their state.
One who love their mother tongue truely can't discriminate other languages.
There must be a course on regional languages, any person who is going to settle in a state for work or any short term or long term purpose (non tourist) must learn the regional language of the state. Otherwise people in that state will feel ofended and its quite natural to be offended. The bengali girl is voicing that locals should also try learning Hindi, but her own state West Bengal is being filled by Biharis and Marwaris who are not bonding well with the locals due to language conflict which is giving rise to a bengali sub-national movement.
Bro research kaise karte ho?
Google, Quora, articles, news sites etc....Just the normal process.
What If I speak Tamil instead of Hindi in Delhi ? Learn the regional language when you stay in any place for a long or atleast try

My Friend , you have grown up watching Hindi Movies or listening to Hindi songs at some level since childhood - so at some level your conditioning was such that you were able to pick up the language a bit easily ( Yes, you must have put in some extra efforts , but it was relatively easier)
People in North up until Bahubali got famous , were hardly exposed to Languages in south . Even today Many people cant tell the difference in between a Tamil a Telegu or a Malayalam and a Kannada by listening to it, as a north Indian it all sounds the same. Imaging how difficult would it be to learn such a language.
Second: If you learn Hindi you can manage in 10 Different States ( Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir) So easy for you to learn one language , is this the same for South?
What if i learn Telegu today but my job demands i shift to Chennai or Bengaluru ? Should I spend more time on elarning those language again?

As a north Indian i dont agree with this video. As an Indian, you must also show the whole reality.
I agree that discrimination against North Indian in South India is growing, but at some time the opposite is also happening. I have seen south people being objectified and shamed in Delhi because of their color and language. I have even seen Delhi people accusing them "Dravidian who are just fake hindus"
Even North East people from Arunachal, Mizoram etc are being bullied as "Chinese" looking by North People especially Delhi.
Also, Delhi people complete with Mumbai people in terms of their wealth & politics.
Have seen so many times Bihari & UP people termed as "Criminals" by North Indians only.
So before accusing South Indians, first watch your back and make a neutral video on inter state discrimination.
This is just ond sided video.
We are all Indians, there is nothing called North Indian or South Indian.
BTW Tamil is older than Hindi & Tamil Nadu is a part of India. Are you willing to learn Tamil to show your patriotism for India and male it a National language????

Learning other language which isn’t needed for us to learn is useless it’s your need not ours to speak Kannada here if you don’t know it’s not a problem we will speak to you but doesn’t mean u enforce Hindi on us
Same with Delhi if I go and speak Kannada and say aap b mere liye Kannada Sikh lo wo mujhe ma behen ki gaalia nikalega ye bolke Kannada isn’t spoken here

@Shantpaw As keralite I must say
Your video didn't covered the main reason
First of all not all states oppose hindi
It is mostly tamilnadu
And maybe Karnataka
Kerala , andrapradesh telungana doesn't have a problem with hindi or any other languages
It is mostly tamilandu
The reason for the hate in tamilnadu is extreme regional politics
Current ruling party in tamilnadu is a regional party
Regional party name is DMK
They fear national parties so
they try to make unnecessary hate among people
They try to boast regional pride
And there is no south India or north india
Most of the people unnecessary draggingother states
If a state has problem with other state it should be a states problem
Now regional parties in Karnataka is Also using Stalin (DMK ruler) method.
People are brainwashed
Tamilnadu ruler Stalin literally
Trying to make so much hate
Kaveri water problem
Mullaperiyar problem etc
Pin my comment for the viewers
Most of the regional.people in karnataka and tamilnadu are brainwashed
I agree with your points, however my direction for the video was slightly different and precisely the way I have made it.

" jantha hai mera baap kaun hai" attitude is the problem.. log bhool jate hain vo kahan hai... Usi ganand se south Jake vahan akad dikavoge tho ye sab hoga.. respect others and their culture and if possible try to learn
Our country is divided on so many levels caste , religion, class, color , gender and language we can never change this Mindset
And politicians use them to fill their vote banks from panchayati to general elections everything is based on division in this country
Only karnataka and tamilnadu have problem from hindi .
The problem is much more deeper. There is racial discrimination and South Indians are called even today as Madrasis and not given respect in many areas in North. Gradually people are interacting with each other and they are getting to know each others culture better. And thanks to social media and internet, more people are getting to know about each other. But the problem lies in the attitude of someone asking why cant you speak in Hindi if you are in India? This attitude is the problem not the language. Its the sense of some kind of entitlement because you are from Hindi speaking state and you expect people to follow your language without questioning even after they have been discriminated. Also the dynamics of North India and South are different. North India has seen a lot od foreign attacks, heavy influence of cultures from outside. Where as South India is a protected place. This makes South Indians even more conservative when its comes to culture and language and one needs to be sensitive about it. And Lets not blindly follow European style nationalism, India is a different beast
Lots of discrimination against non South Indians in South
Well , nothing wrong in learning local language and it is added advantage , i learned tamil in delhi
i learned Tamil in Jammu

Hindi is official language .
@@KumarK-cn1sj
Hindi isn't official National language bcoz there are many languages in India so they can't make one language as official national language.
@@srinathkollur7534 Hindi isn’t national language but it’s official language of India along with English . Status of official language is no less than national language . There are many languages in India but Hindi is widely spoken and the only language serves to be link language between people .
@@KumarK-cn1sj
Official language doesn't means National language.
And English is also widely spoken then?
@@KumarK-cn1sj
National language means Indian constitution accepts that language to be the real language/voice of Indians.
Official language doesn't means that.
It means Hindi is widely spoken but it's not compulsory to learn it.
It would have been compulsory only if it was said by Indian constitution.
Hamara desh hamesha bhedbhav me hi jita rahega chahe bhasha ka ho ya jati dharm ka.ye desh kahne ko to mahan hai par kabhi mahan nahi ban sakta.
South India is not some special place where they love their own language. There are many places in India where people speak their distinct language and are proud of it, but the fact is the government is centralised in a place where Hindi is widely spoken, so if someone wants to have their voice heard in the nation, they have to learn Hindi.
Next point- there are 4 small states in south india with 4 different language with very little similarity. If someone learns one language he will only be able to communicate in that particular state and will barely understand the other three states while if someone learns Hindi, they can literally communicate with half of India. If some South Indians are butthurt, please think how you will hold preference for foreign country depending on if English will work or not.
And finally
south indians when they are told to learn a semi centralised language from north india---- 😡😡😡
South Indians when speaking a language invaders forced upon them after invasion 🤗🤗🤗
Typical nonsense lol using this invaders logic in your north india dont apply it on us nobody will listen to that shit understand and why we have to learn your bloody hindi when south states are literally 10 years ahead of hindi speaking states according to niti ayog report and we know how to make our voices heard don't worry about it. If english is foriegn language then your hindi is also foriegn language to us which we came to know only after 1947 and you guys are also imposing it on us so don't use your shitty invader logic here it's already broken by south indian politicians long back. Coming to our states don't expect us to speak your so called national language.
Lol even hindu is a foriegn language for us which came to us after 1947 so don't play this invader and nationalism tactics with us and dint impose your do called national language on us.
Where have i said Hindi is the national language😂 hindi is the language of the centralised government. If the government was in Bengal, it would have been Bengali, it's simple as that. My post is just about how only the south is so butthurt about Hindi where as other states are not. And how South Indians have no problem with English but have a problem with Hindi@Attitudezero884
Four small states? Really, those four small states are accounting for India's 55% of the economy. We don't have any problem with hindi, I really do love that language but if you try to force me to learn that language, then it is a different scenario.
@@hubailmkIn that already one state is bankrupt and second state is already on their way to bankruptcy. For your information the majority of India GDP comes from Maharashtra and Gujarat 😂😂😂

It's like we will go to their place and still expect them to know Hindi language so that you guys can interact with them easily?
But yeah they can expect you to learn their regional languages as you are staying at their place. It's right though 😂.
It's your problem so you should put efforts to make your life easy not they should.
Do you guys(North Indians)even put some efforts for them(South Indians)too? LoL 😂
Abb muh band ho jayega.
I get the concept of having a language to unify the country,, but English already exists for that purpose. Now, you could argue that Indians shouldn't have to adopt English for the whole country since it's not a language that originates from our nation and was brought about by colonizers or whatever. But the fact of the matter is that English is the global language today. There's no harm in studying it since the rest of the world uses it anyway.
The reason many southies are pissed about learning Hindi is because it comes off as trying to impose North Indian culture onto them. Most south indian languages have very different structures to hindi, so many people find it difficult to grasp, and view this effort of learning it as useless in the first place when they can just learn english. Many feel as though they are forced to learn about north indian culture/language meanwhile north indians don't bother to learn about theirs.
That being said, the north vs south war fuelled by arrogance and/or a superiority complex based off of your language or state is not justified. And as you said, using a common language for all of south india is not practical either.
Although most of north India seems to speak hindi as a first language, the truth of the matter is that many dialects and other languages that were once the actual regional language of these states was overthrown by imposition of Hindi by the centre. It's good that the NEP prevents this now but so much damage has already been done by previously grouping very different languages under the umbrella of "hindi" when they are not-- leading to only hindi being taught in schools and the regional language slowly becoming less popular.
My point with all of this is to say that it's not as though Hindi was already spoken by 48% of the population and south indians just refuse to adopt it and unify the country, that the 48% has come about over the years due to policy decisions. Hence bringing me back to what seems to me the most practical solution: just learn your regional language + english for communication purposes. It's what's used for most economic activity anyway, so why not?
Very well said and Articulated.
