This is, IMHO, the very best song Pink Floyd ever did live. The message is aimed straight at your heart and that guitar solo is almost beyond belief. My favourite from them, Comfortably Numb notwithstanding. There is something about David Gilmour with a Stratocaster in his hands. He brings out tones and a sequence of notes with his fingers and picking that seem beyond the abilities of mere mortals. What else can I say? 🤷♂🎸🎸🎸
Love this song! Love Pink Floyd! (No problem with the pause, btw). Please also check out Pink Floyd doing Echoes live at Pompeii, 1971, when they were young.
I am glad you understand about what real music is all about. The negative music today will be gone in time but Pink Floyd and real artistry and musicianship will last forever. Love your outlook my friend.
The guitar just brings a tear to the eye, just brilliant The three angels sing and its lifted again. Please react to Dire Straights performing Sultans of Swing on the Alchemy Tour, thanks
Excellent reaction. Deep thoughts. Deep lyrics. This song really is thee homage to Syd 😢 RIP 🥀 🌻Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky. Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom, Blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine! You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond. Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, Rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine! ☀️⭐️☀️
Hey……another PF fan here. Nice reaction to this amazing song. I don’t mind the occasional pause, as long as it’s not in the middle of a guitar solo. You should react to “High Hopes” of the 1994 Pulse Live album…..it is incredible. I guarantee you will be floored by the guitar solo……really!!! I also agree with you about “today’s music”. It’s much darker and has become about politics and opinions, more than about the music. That’s why I stopped listening to the new stuff and spend my time watching reactions told the old stuff. It has a much better feel to it. Thanks for this.
Check out COMING BACK TO LIFE from the Pulse Concert live (1994). Don’t worry about the pause…instead, you can congratulate yourself for reacting to such a great song: On The Turning Away.
I saw PF ...Live in concert back in the 70's /80's...The Wall Tour ( in NY) & later on ...Momentary Lack of Reason Tour: The amount of resources they put into Sound , Lightning & Production is staggering. On top of that the level at which the Band was performing was epic. This era used Analog technology so no correction technology what so ever was employed. To be fair though, most Bands from this era achieved high levels of performance & sold out venues. Pink Floyd however brought you to a deeper place bringing your soul on a journey . You just don't hear PF....you experience PF!!
🔥🎶🔥 More Pink Floyd, please! 🙏🏻🤗 “The Great Gig in the Sky” studio version “Coming Back to Life” from the Pulse concert “Dogs” from the Animals album 💥💥💥

Syd Barrett (short-lived founder; guitar plus) the originator and quirky eccentric; inevitably the consequential muse. * January 6, 1946 (rip 2006) Roger Waters (bass) was the cultivator (seed sower), the lyrically conceptual prodigy, secondary vocal and co-maestro of songwriting * September 6, 1943 (age 79 years) David Gilmour (guitar) was the placidity, guitar virtuoso, the silky smooth voice and co-maestro; the equilibrium. * March 6, 1946 (age 76 years) Richard Wright (keyboards) was the essential underlying symmetry; musical nurturer. Normally putting Plink Floyd on pause would get you 90 days of listening to nothing but Bieber. As that was deemed a 'cruel and inhuman punishment', you will be given a reprieve and a strongly worded warning. Should it happen again, it will be Manilow for a month.
These guys sent more people in Space than Nasa itself...
Simply the best band ever !

One complaint: During a David Gilmour guitar solo, you don’t answer the phone, even if the person calling is on fire. 🙂🙂😊✌️
do dogs from animals
