That's pricey for what you get. PGYTech or Brevite are cheaper and offer much more at that price point. I backed the 12L sling and might be one of the biggest buyer's remorse purchases I've made recently.

It’s definitely not cheap that’s for sure! I have been interested in the PGYTech bags but I’m not a huge fan of Brevite. I tried one of theirs a while back.
With the PM bags I know you get the value out of them. Like I trust that Pete really plans with nomatic what the bag needs and for this bag it hit almost all the needs/wants I had in an every day bag!

I can’t reply to the pgy but the brevite is cheaper and it feels like it. I wanted a stealthy camera bag and I thought it would fit the bill but it did not. The straps are garbage if you carry this bag for any amount of time. The other big gripe was the the Velcro pads for camera gear. The Velcro isn’t very strong and things shift around. I wouldn’t have a ton of faith that my camera gear would be protected in the brevite bag. I have a PM sling, besides be very well made it holds way more stuff than any small sling should be able to. Yeah his stuff ain’t cheap but neither is the gear I carry in it.

Just FWIW, I have the PGYTECH backpack, and while it’s a quality product, I think it’s not as comfortable as the Nomatic packs because of its stiffer shoulder straps.

I would agree that maybe the Brevite or PGYTECH aren't going to be everyone (I own both of these and daily the Brevite), there's no comparison to the Luma bags. I own the Peter series bags and think you are getting what you pay for but compared to the Luma series, both the above stated are superior in quality and comfort compared them. I'm glad I was able to return the backpack I recently had but still stuck with the shoulder bag.
For both Luma bags, they have cheap plastic clips which will break, cheap foam that will quickly indent, and minus just many features. It's interesting how outside of content creators, the reviews you see aren't favorable. I also know that Nomatic hasn't published my negative review and wonder if they're doing the same with others.
      edit: for typos

No offense but Peters stuff is a bit overpriced for what you get.

Well, as somewhat of a backpack fanatic, I was fortunate to find that the Nomatic 35L can actually handle a 180-600 mounted on a Z8! None of my other bags can do that. Granted, that bag isn’t light, but it’s made quite well.

Addendum to my previous post…I found that the Gura Gear Kiboko 2 22L+ backpack can also fit the Nikkor Z 180-600 mounted on a Z8. And IMHO, the Luma 18L build quality and materials is not quite at the same level as the other Nomatic McKinnon 22L and 35L backpacks. YMMV

Great Review! I can't find an answer on the internet about this. What is the largest laptop size that can be put in the Luma Backpack?

Not fully sure. I’ve heard others say a 16inch MacBook Pro fits but I can’t say that for sure

Nice review of this 18L Luma backpack! I think it’s a good size for a smaller Fujifilm X series kit. However it is a bit tight for a FF kit such as a Nikon Z8 and several lenses, though one body and one or two short lenses can fit!

Hmmm that color has me on the fence… thinking they are pitching more so to younger generation and the ladies, But it’s NOMATIC, so it’s usually great quality.
