I had a similar experience. 15 year age gap but thankfully we were not married or together long. He was an experienced liar and charmer. He would always tell me that I was so lovely and soothing and that I was the only person who did not annoy him. The younger the mother, the less quality care she'll be able to give her child. That and most women are more beautiful in their 30s than their 20s. It's different for every woman - you may be one of those who run out fast, maybe not. Maybe even freeze some oocytes. While a woman can bear a child at least up to 50, the same can't be said about the quality of your oocytes, and the first decline starts on average after 35 and then there's a sharp decline after 40. One other possibility is to freeze your oocytes, although it doesn't really guarantee anything.

I'll never understand the biological clock conversation. Of course it exists and you should be mindful of it - but some people act as if once you turn 27 then it's all over, it's downhill from there. My mother had 3 children, all natural births, all big beautiful healthy babies. She was in her early 30s when she had her first, mid-late 30s when she had her second (me) and her last when she was almost 40 and even long after then she was able to have children until she decided to get her tubes tied in her late 40s. A lot of this heavily depends on genetics and not every person is the same and even then you should always treat people kindly.

Very good point. A lot of the older guys prey on younger women because they are amenable but it doesn't mean they "choose them". I'm sure you've thought about it, but if you're planning to have kids, make sure you watch over you ovarial reserve (the AMG test). It's different for every woman - you may be one of those who run out fast, maybe not. Maybe even freeze some oocytes. While a woman can bear a child at least up to 50, the same can't be said about the quality of your oocytes, and the first decline starts on average after 35 and then there's a sharp decline after 40. One other possibility is to freeze your oocytes, although it doesn't really guarantee anything.

So the chances are falling and a woman needs to be aware of that if kids are a part of the plan. In this case they are not, so I fail to see how this discussion is relevant. I do not think we should continue, it could be unpleasant to the person.
