Im in the process of converting conservative and I find your videos extremely helpful. My congregation is small and mostly male so you are a blessing. Thank you for all that you do to bring awareness and education to these beautiful traditions. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Sukkot.
Thank you so much! I am a Christian who is trying to get back to life Biblically. So I am doing what I can to learn more and teach my family. God bless you this week!
She does not observe Judaism. She deserves some crazy weird thing where she takes a scissor to the religion and its up and out the pieces she does not like, Shes making a joke out of Judaism.
i am a 20 year old in the process of converting and had my first Sukkot office and i absolutely loved it! Thank you for giving an extra depth to this holiday for me !
Such great ideas! Thank you so much! I live an apartment, so my husband and I have our Sukkah on our balcony. We've been putting little things to customize it. I never had the Sukkah growing up, so this is all new to me. Have a safe, healthy, happy, and blessed Sukkot. Chag Sameach!
When I was a little girl, I lived in a high rise but my synagogue had a sukkah. I absolutely fell in love with the holiday because of that. The hanging gourds and we helped decorate in Hebrew school with the paper chains and cards. I like all your great ideas and your thoughts about tzadakah.
Marion, thank you so much for posting this wonderful video on how to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. I cannot wait until you make it to 50K on this channel. You have an amazing channel and thank you so much for being so sweet and beautiful, you are adorable!!!
We celebrate all the most High feast every year, we are exicited for sukkot we just finished our sukka last night and it came out beautiful! We actually put our tents out and we make a sukka to gather and eat. This year we made out in our patio a sukka with lights and palms just how the Torah says in Levitical 23:40 . Hag sameaj to all who celebrate.😊🥳🥳🥳 Levitical 23:33-44
I've just started look into Judaism so I don't know a lot but I had some idea of sukkahs and what people use them for and i was surprised when i went around my university campus today i saw a whole bunch set up! I thought it was pretty cool
......If one is lightning candles at home, one has to make sure the candles are in a completely safe place, before visiting a Sukur.......... Especially if the Sukur one is visiting, is far away, and one stays out a long time........If one can't secure their candles when the candles are lit, and when they are not going to stay home with the candles, its probably safer to stay with the candles; and make sure all candle lightning is safe...........Thanks for sharing this wonderful video...... You are pretty as your voice is pretty, so that is such a treat.......Happy Sukous....May our parents be blessed for our observances, they let us learn and past down to us.........
Hello! This was amazing. You have truly inspired me to create a channel (the black jew) and post videos from a black perspective and I just want to sincerely thank you. I do take some of your points and I hope you don't mind. Shana Tova and thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
I'd totally subscribe to that - the combination of the traditions and how closely afro and Jewish mirror each other is a perspective I'm working on and could see more of
@@ashley_imani Please feel free to subscribe. I am just starting out so forgive me if my videos aren't as polished but I am working on them. The Black Jew is my channel:)
What a fabulous video very interesting I'm not Jewish but I love learning about all different religions xx I'm a big fan of all ur videos Heather laird Scotland xx
We made one in our basement. There was a pole and we must have found a way to attach rope two make two sides. The basement wall was the fourth wall. We ran ropes all over the top and hung traditional objects up. Didn't have a way to make one outside.
Sukkot starts the 21st of October at evening the first day of the coat is the 22nd of October the last day of the code is the 29th of October just saying you guys are a month behind for the year 2021
Dear Miriam, I am watching your video and noticed that you seemed a bit breathless sounding.... hopefully I'm wrong🙏 , please don't forget to" make time for yourself " and get checked out by MD if needed. You are a nice person and I enjoy your videos , so take good care of yourself too 😊
Do you just make your own stuff up? I have not ever heard such a distortion of what Sukkot is. You live in a beautiful home. I find it hard to believe you have no money or room for a Sukkah- maybe you shouldn’t talk about Jewish holidays that you don’t celebrate.
Just because I can have a sukkah doesn't mean everyone else can too, I like helping people in whichever spot they are in terms of their religious observance. Many people want to feel close to the holiday but can't build their own sukkah and that's totally ok! For much of the 20th century it was unheard of for anyone outside very very religious homes to have their own. Nowadays its more common but it's also ok to go to a friends or a synagogue.

Same with me, I'm getting my tent out and camping all week
@@ניל-ר9ה I am thinking of doing something similar.
Getting back to a biblical life is to remove the idolatry of Christianity and at least be a noahide if HaShem does not want you to be a Jew

What is Sukkot torah
Dwelling in my tent with brisket. 🍋🍑🥩🥩🥩✨

Two simple answers fine one, or find a public space and make one as it’s law to eat in one
Happy Sukkot and a Happy New Year from Israel🇮🇱🤗
Perhaps one day you will have a daughter-in-law who will make you a sukkah in your yard.
Why can't the Sukkah be someone's house as long as they hang fruit and such since as I understand it Sukkah is celebrating the Fall Harvest no?
