This is sooo soo sweet. 😍❤️ I’m a Christian and Italian but I grew up around a lot orthodox communities because my family has a hair salon surrounded by a few Jewish neighborhoods. I also had a spray tan business for a few years and kept a lot of orthodox women as great clients. They were so nice welcoming and always made me feel so appreciated. I actually considered going kosher for a while because I understand that the meat production is way more ethical than otherwise. I hope one day to have a marriage and family as beautiful as this.❤ God bless you both.
Hi, I’m the Baptist in the group. My husband and I were 17 & 18 when we met, in high school. We got married a year later, and yesterday, we celebrated our 48th anniversary. Two great kids, ups and downs of life. Our kids are 44 & 41, and 2 grandsons. We are blessed 😇

Like all marriages, we have had to navigate difficult and stressful circumstances. The key to our marriage lasting, I think, is that both my husband and I approach our lives together with a mindset of "what is best for the cherished marriage relationship that exists between us" and not "what is best for me". That does not mean that you give up on your goals, aspirations etc but that you consider the effect of your actions on your husband/wife and the precious marriage union that exists between the two of you.

My mom was born in Brooklyn NY in the 1930’s, and from what I understand 1/2 the neighborhood area was German Jewish and the other was Irish Catholic. We are Catholic; however my mom incorporated a lot of Jewish cooking into our diet. She was also a nurse and worked at the Jewish Hospital, Beth Moses, which does not exist anymore. She worked all the Jewish Holy Days, and likewise the Jewish nurses would work for my mom on the Catholic Holy days. My mom loved eating in Beth Moses’ cafeteria. She would fondly remember and describe all the delicious food. I love watching your channel! It reminds me of my mother, who passed away in 2012. Thank you!

I recently discovered your channel. I am a Traditional Catholic, which means our Mass is pre-Vatican II, and we dress more modestly. I wear lace mantilla and long skirt to church. I love how special you make the Sabbath. We follow the old ways, and view Sundays as High Holy Feast Days, but have gotten away from making special foods & memories. I need to change that. I have recently got to know I am an Ashkenazi Jew by genetic heritage. I live in Poland and my cultural inheritance was kept in secret, most probably due to the Holocaust. I really think I need this Jewish structure, the more videos about the Jews I watch, the more i think this culture is mine. Thank you so much for your video.
I'm Jewish, and while growing up as a child. My parents would emphasize the importance of learning something new everyday. As we sat at dinner we'd discuss what we learned that day, or that week. Due to that, latter in life, when my husband at the time got Cancer, I did in fact go into research mode. The area of expertise that I studied was the connection between nonionizing radiation, electromagnetic fields and cancer connection. My research not only saved his life when doctors gave up on him. But I was also threw my documentation and data, was able to stop the government from placing the doplar radar next to an elementary school. This prevented the children from having a higher incident of Luekemia. My point is. It's important at an early age to incurrage curiosity of the young to look for different interests by learning something new every day. 😀 This was and is my Jewish Herritage I pass along to each of you. That will tell you were all the HOT SPOTS are around your home. By all meters their is a higher reading. But, their are many factors that contribute to 🔥 spots. Above ground, or underground electric is only one factor. How close you are to those situations and other.equipment,make,a.differenee.Every.location is different. My Aunt has two sets of non-identical twins. The first set - twin boys, one looks like his Mum and the other like his Dad. The second set, twin girls. And again, one looks like her Mum and the other like her Dad. One of the twin boys has a set of twins and one of the girls has a set of twins. Interestingly, the brother and sister that have twins of their own, look like their Mum.

I have Moroccan Jew, Lemba Jew, Algerian Jew, Sephardic Jew, Ashkenazi Jew, Tunisian Jew, Ethiopian Jew, Iranian Jew, Iraqi Jew, Kurdish Jew, Syrian Jew, Uzbekistan Jew, Azerbaijan Jew, Libyan Jew, Tunisian Jew, Italian Jew, Egyptian, and Jordanian. Whew! I had no idea! What a pleasant surprise. I'm looking forward to researching all things Jewish. Growing up I identified with African American culture because that's all I knew. Really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing. I began watching Sonya's Prep because I was astounded by what you accomplished prior to Shabbat, especially with such tight time constraints. It was obvious that organization was key. I'm a full-time author with a full schedule and a task list a mile long. My kids are teens and young adults now, and while I don't have the challenge of parenting young children or preparing for Shabbat every week (I'm not Jewish), I was finding it difficult to get food prepped and on the table each night without feeling tired afterward or relying on terrible processed food. I love to cook but organized preparation always eluded me. Then I started watching your channel and began incorporating some of your prep techniques into my own nightly meal prep. We called that a "No Thank You bite" in my house. My boys didn't have to eat anything they didn't like, but they at least needed to have that "No Thank You bite." Many times, they were surprised & continued eating it.

Forget about the cookbook - very few people read anymore! We love the videos b/c we love seeing HOW you go through the process and your encouragement that we can vary from what might be in a recipe. You'd have to start measuring precisely to do a cookbook, too!
As a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 7, I can say with some confidence that how calm a mother is can be shown by how calm the children are. Your children are relatively calm and well balanced. But calm all the time? Only a robot! I like how honest and direct your husband is.

But in my experience, just like in yours, I was encouraged to learn and develop myself from my earliest memories. That was amazing, you are such a gorgeous couple, with beautiful children. My dad knew instantly my mum was the one for him, they were married just weeks short of sixty years. I’m a Christian and Italian but I grew up around a lot orthodox communities because my family has a hair salon surrounded by a few Jewish neighborhoods.
I also had a spray tan business for a few years and kept a lot of orthodox women as great clients. They were so nice welcoming and always made me feel so appreciated.
I actually considered going kosher for a while because I understand that the meat production is way more ethical than otherwise.
I hope one day to have a marriage and family as beautiful as this.❤

Hi, I’m the Baptist in the group. My husband and I were 17 & 18 when we met, in high school. We got married a year later, and yesterday, we celebrated our 48th anniversary. Two great kids, ups and downs of life. Our kids are 44 & 41, and 2 grandsons. We are blessed 😇
Congratulations on your 48th wedding anniversary. My husband and I will be celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary this year. Like all marriages, we have had to navigate difficult and stressful circumstances. The key to our marriage lasting, I think, is that both my husband and I approach our lives together with a mindset of "what is best for the cherished marriage relationship that exists between us" and not "what is best for me". That does not mean that you give up on your goals, aspirations etc but that you consider the effect of your actions on your husband/wife and the precious marriage union that exists between the two of you.

My mom was born in Brooklyn NY in the 1930’s, and from what I understand 1/2 the neighborhood area was German Jewish and the other was Irish Catholic. We are Catholic; however my mom incorporated a lot of Jewish cooking into our diet. She was also a nurse and worked at the Jewish Hospital, Beth Moses, which does not exist anymore. She worked all the Jewish Holy Days, and likewise the Jewish nurses would work for my mom on the Catholic Holy days. My mom loved eating in Beth Moses’ cafeteria. She would fondly remember and describe all the delicious food. I love watching your channel! It reminds me of my mother, who passed away in 2012. Thank you!

I recently discovered your channel. I am a Traditional Catholic, which means our Mass is pre-Vatican II, and we dress more modestly. I wear lace mantilla and long skirt to church. I love how special you make the Sabbath. We follow the old ways, and view Sundays as High Holy Feast Days, but have gotten away from making special foods & memories. I need to change that. I have recently got to know I am an Ashkenazi Jew by genetic heritage. I live in Poland and my cultural inheritance was kept in secret, most probably due to the Holocaust. I really think I need this Jewish structure, the more videos about the Jews I watch, the more i think this culture is mine. Thank you so much for your video.
I'm Jewish, and while growing up as a child. My parents would emphasize the importance of learning something new everyday. As we sat at dinner we'd discuss what we learned that day, or that week. Due to that, latter in life, when my husband at the time got Cancer, I did in fact go into research mode. The area of expertise that I studied was the connection between nonionizing radiation, electromagnetic fields and cancer connection. My research not only saved his life when doctors gave up on him. But I was also threw my documentation and data, was able to stop the government from placing the doplar radar next to an elementary school. This prevented the children from having a higher incident of Luekemia. My point is. It's important at an early age to incurrage curiosity of the young to look for different interests by learning something new every day. 😀 This was and is my Jewish Herritage I pass along to each of you. That will tell you were all the HOT SPOTS are around your home. By all meters their is a higher reading. But, their are many factors that contribute to 🔥 spots. Above ground, or underground electric is only one factor. How close you are to those situations and other.equipment,make,a.differenee.Every.location is different. My Aunt has two sets of non-identical twins. The first set - twin boys, one looks like his Mum and the other like his Dad. The second set, twin girls. And again, one looks like her Mum and the other like her Dad. One of the twin boys has a set of twins and one of the girls has a set of twins. Interestingly, the brother and sister that have twins of their own, look like their Mum.

I have Moroccan Jew, Lemba Jew, Algerian Jew, Sephardic Jew, Ashkenazi Jew, Tunisian Jew, Ethiopian Jew, Iranian Jew, Iraqi Jew, Kurdish Jew, Syrian Jew, Uzbekistan Jew, Azerbaijan Jew, Libyan Jew, Tunisian Jew, Italian Jew, Egyptian, and Jordanian. Whew! I had no idea! What a pleasant surprise. I'm looking forward to researching all things Jewish. Growing up I identified with African American culture because that's all I knew. I began watching Sonya's Prep because I was astounded by what you accomplished prior to Shabbat, especially with such tight time constraints. It was obvious that organization was key. I'm a full-time author with a full schedule and a task list a mile long. My kids are teens and young adults now, and while I don't have the challenge of parenting young children or preparing for Shabbat every week (I'm not Jewish), I was finding it difficult to get food prepped and on the table each night without feeling tired afterward or relying on terrible processed food. I love to cook but organized preparation always eluded me. Then I started watching your channel and began incorporating some of your prep techniques into my own nightly meal prep. We called that a "No Thank You bite" in my house. My boys didn't have to eat anything they didn't like, but they at least needed to have that "No Thank You bite." Many times, they were surprised & continued eating it.

Forget about the cookbook - very few people read anymore! We love the videos b/c we love seeing HOW you go through the process and your encouragement that we can vary from what might be in a recipe. You'd have to start measuring precisely to do a cookbook, too!
As a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 7, I can say with some confidence that how calm a mother is can be shown by how calm the children are. Your children are relatively calm and well balanced. But calm all the time? Only a robot! I like how honest and direct your husband is.

I like that you answered the question about education. There seems to be some obsessive idea with faith being something that holds people back. But in my experience, just like in yours, I was encouraged to learn and develop myself from my earliest memories.
