Thank you Mr. Wilbert for this explanation of Sukkot. It brought tears to my eyes thinking of the Old Covenant celebration and how we as New Covenant believers in Yeshua can celebrate this beautiful festival.

Waving the lulav and praising has benefits. In 2017 we were in Ecuador during Sukkot and a local man saw us outside praising, singing and praying. He had never seen Elohim praised this way and he that day dedicated his life to YHVH and when were there again in 2019 he, his whole immediate family and many extended friends and family of his celebrated Sukkot with us. Hard to know the reason, but as David said, YHVH said it so do it and see how the Father uses your faithfulness. Chag sameach

Thank you so much for this brother.
This is my first time celebrating Sukkot. Although I am the only one celebrating it in my family. And they probably tho im crazy 😅. Mom kinda laughed at my flimsy tent in the backyard. However, i plan to cook up a storm for them. I have already spammed our family group chat with sukkot stuff 🥰💕 I am so thankful to the LORD for everything! I know one day my family will celebrate it with me in the future. I know it in my spirit and I am excited!! Shalom and happy Sukkot.
    Love from the Philippines❤

@@DavidWilberBlog What? You can't keep a biblical feast! You must GO TO JERUSALEM and bring you sacrifice/offering to keep a biblical feast. He warned not to appear empty handed. He certainly didn't say you can ignore how He instructs to keep a feast and call your own ideas "obedience." And Yah didn't say you could do it anywhere other than the temple in Jerusalem period! In fact, Jeraboam tried to do it elsewhere and perished for it along with everyone who followed in that sin.

A time. of rejoicing for the harvest God has blessed us with, all is He and we are His children and He loves us He just want's us to treat Him and other people with respect which is why he gave the Torah and the Oral Laws of how to deal with delicate situations and as sinners not cast the first stone, as Yeshua said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone and none of us are perfect and he has been incredibly patient with us family and has greatly blessed me this day with all I needed for the Feast...Hallelujah! & Chag Sameach!

Sukkot, is the time to camp together in one accord and continually, pray, praise, magnify, dance, and celebrate until everyone ascends into the Throne Room of Heaven where the Glory appears and everyone is pressed down in worship. 8 day outpouring gathering, to copy heaven on earth. Even on non Sanbath days, imagine everyone praising God in te fields for such harvest. That's how the Glory of God would often appear during these times.

Wonderful job. I'll be adding a few activities that I didn't know about. I'm adapting to my 2nd year of trying to celebrate the HOLY DAYS not holidays. In a spiritual way it's very refreshing to my soul. I'll be celebrating my "Messiah's" birthday during Sukkot from now on. As with all people following "The Way", I'm trying to figure this out. I get some things wrong and hope it's not considered strange fire. I live in an apt complex without a balcony, so I can't do my tent outside. A bit of trouble locating my palm trees and other fronds. I don't have any fellow sojourners willing to accept the Jewish holidays, so I'm solo. I keep praying that Yahshua help me find a congregation to fellowship with. I asked Him to join me. I've been extra blessed since trying to observe "The Way". I'm disappointed that I was taught incorrectly for so long.

Maybe I missed it, but the one aspect that we are supposed to do is go to Jerusalem. With that in mind, we can only memorialize the Feast since most can't keep it as commanded. It isn't about going camping, although that gives a "feel" of going to Jerusalem. And unless you actually live in Jerusalem, building a sukkah on your property is still only a memorial. I'm a little concerned that the two people I listened to didn't mention this, and there seems to be some additions taking place. I'm excited that more people are returning to the ancient path; it's just that man has a historical habit of adding to or taking away from the commandments. Wishing everyone a blessed Sukkot!!

We also know John, the babtist was six months older than Jesus, and when Mary concieved she went directly to Elizabeth and John leapt in her womb. From the course of abiah where Johns father was serving to Marys announcment is six months, Do the math.

It is quite fitting that sukkot begins the night before Thanksgiving Day in Canada. What are your recommendations for celebrating in colder areas. Where we live (fairly far North compared to anywhere in the US save Alaska), our overnight temperature is already going to be below 9C (48F), which is what it is now at 12:45 AM. I'm very interested to see what the established recommendations are. Also, where would I find the lulav and etrog? I've only seen pictures and videos depicting these.

We had perfect materials for it… i look forward to decorating it. Yet i am not sure if i go through with everything what the Scriptures tell us. I don’t believe in doing the law because i am not under it because of Yeshua. I will do whatever Yeshua tells my heart to do. I am struggling with the whole to be honest. But i want to celebrate God‘s way and not only Christmas (which isn’t even His birthday). God bless you all!

Thanks for your Teaching. I always admire your teaching. but I'm a little bit uncomfortable with the Christmas things like repackaging it and adding to Sukkot. Aren't we celebrate Yashua in every feast, it is already great and perfect. I think if we'll add Christmas to sukkot it will soon take over sukkot. you people are allowing songs, someone will allow tree than someone else Santa-clause, etc. aren't we picking and choosing things from Christmas. let's not make room for error so that someone else has to correct it years latter things are simple in YAH feast so let it be simple.

I'm just talking about songs having to do with the birth of Messiah. Those songs having nothing to do with Christmas holiday per se. They are just songs about Messiah that we can sing during Sukkot, since one of the themes of Sukkot is the birth of Messiah.

In 2022, Sukkot begins in the evening of October 9 and ends in the evening of October 16. Then Shemini Atzeret begins in the evening of October 16 and ends in the evening of October 17. Hope that helps!

The birth can't be on fall as all fall feasts are about second coming. The passover lambs were to be one year so lambing must have been around Nissan. Jew's believe Isaac was born on Shavuot and was a type of Christ

The Sukkah is much like the temporary dwelling. We too are a physical temporary Sukkah. The items used, describe the different levels of their walk according to their spiritual walk. Much of the Feasts and Days of Yahweh have been transcended from physical to Spiritual. We are told not to walk in the "flesh" but in the Holy Spirit of our Abba Yahweh. The Pesach and Unleavened Bread are our Yeshua, the Eternal Lamb of Yahweh who was without blemish, without sin.
Shavuot - Pentecost is the giving of the Holy Spirit of our Abba Yahweh, referred to as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit who would be set after Yeshua ascended. (After we have confessed our sins and desire to be obedient to His 10 Words etc., we are the Baptism by the indwelling Holy Spirit of our Abba Yahweh, who can now dwell within us, for the Blood of Yeshua has cleansed our Temples from sins defilement rendering us unclean, just as the blood of the bull's blood was sprinkled on everything in the Temple so that Abba Yahweh may dwell in the midst of his people. The Day of Trumpets the blowing of the Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Sukkot and Dedication ceremony Hannukha. (Yeshua is the Light to the World (as we are in the midst of our enemy those who live in darkness). All these have been transcended from physical to Spiritual. "The Letter kills, but the Spirit (the Holy Spirit) of our Abba Yahweh Elohim (the present presence) who dwells within us to help us overcome the things of the flesh (our evil inclinations) that we may walk Righteously before our Abba. Yeshua and our Abba abide within us as they are ONE that we too may be ONE with Yeshua and our Abba Yahweh. The Blood Covenant of Moses was waxing old (temporary as it was ratified by animals blood and ministered by High Priests or Priests who died and are not resurrected as Yeshua was) for a MORE perfect Covenant that Yeshua brought would be an Eternal ONE. A more perfect Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire (Eternal ONE). The Word of our Abba was first spoken, the written and is now engraved on our hearts. Elevated to a more perfect way. Forgiveness of Sin never required a sacrifice. Our Abba Yahweh forgave those in Ninevah after they repented as He saw their hearts (they did not sacrifice at the Temple). Solomon in his prayer to our Abba ask our Abba Yahweh to forgive the sins of those afar off if they looked towards the temple. (No sacrifice). Our Abba Yahweh cannot dwell in the same place with those who are unclean, (through sin - its a stench in His nostrils) unholy as He is Holy. Unclean cannot be in the same place as clean. This is what separates us from our Abba Yahweh. Its the reason His Presence left the man made Temple, because of all the sin going on in the people. (The priests etc). Yeshua's Blood cleanses our temporary Temples (Tabernacles) to establish reconciliation with our Abba Yahweh. The 10 Words of our Abba Yahweh this placed in the Ark. The others were put outside of the Ark. The sacrifices, the Priesthood, the High Priest and all it's furnishings were elevated or transcended from physical to Spiritual within us. Blessings to all in Yeshua our Messiah and grafted into the Family of our Abba Yahweh during this fall season.
