The hand eye coordination for a drawing tablet without a screen takes some getting used to, but if you can already draw with a mouse a simple pen tablet will be easy to learn and there are actually people who prefer not drawing directly onto the screen because that way you're not blocking any part of the image with your hands. I know it might look super small and not impressive but this mother is over the damn moon and to her it's absolutely amazing. Watching my child grow and learn and succeed is literally the best most joyful feeling I've ever felt in my life and she's only 16 months old. When my daughter walked up to me on her own and hugged my legs made her kissy noise and tried saying "love you" to me for the first time a few weeks ago I literally got butterflies in my stomach it made me so happy. My favorite part of being a mother is watching them grow and accomplish
I'm so proud of you both. Also, I love how aggression in your world is telling your daughter respectfully that she needs to do 30 minutes of something she loves. 🥰
I wish my parents got involved with my hobbies like that. I have a lot of trouble sticking to things when I'm not good at them. You seem like a great mom. ❤️

This actually made me tear up. Even if your kid doesnt end up choosing art as a carrer, I hope they still remember this amazing support system you are giving them.
Its such an amazing thing to be able to be patient with yourself and im more than thankful to have a mom who taught me when i was younger. She started teaching me how to crochet when i was around 7 so as i got frustrated she calmed me down and it all in the end showed me to just be gentle with myself, wonderful stuff
been playing violin since I was 8 Wanted to quit multiple times as a beginner. I never practiced at home during middle school. Joined a high school orchestra program last week. It was my first time playing in an orchestra that required auditions and a minimum skill level. We started practicing the first song and I started tearing up. It just sounded so nice, and the fact that I was contributing to it made me want to cry. It wasn't like normal high school or middle school orchestra, it sounded like it was nearly at a professional level (might be a bit of a stretch) After 13 collective hours of practice, (my back hurt like hell) we performed. Dont give up on your hobbies.
teaching kids (& adults) how to use tools they don’t have an immediate affinity for, especially how you did it here (not brute force but tutorials & encouragement & rest before reviving) is one of the most useful things a parent or teacher can do.
This is so true!! Thank you 💜. I'm a mom with ADHD and all 3 of my kids have ADHD, so we all struggle with this. Learning the skill first and telling my kids to treat themselves with the love, kindness, and patience that they deserve EVERYDAY!
i feel her. i’ve been learning animation for YEARS and i still haven’t gotten much progress. this semester i decided to take an animation course, so hopefully real education on it helps!
I appreciate you sharing this. My parents, time and time again, told me that a lot of my dreams and aspirations weren't worth it, was a waste of time, or that i couldn't do it. Now, i struggle with basic tasks because of the strong worry i have for failure. I dont have much faith in myself in the first place, lol. Thank you for being you.
I'M SO HAPPY FOR HER I live seeing new artists and animators trying their hand at something they've never done before -someone who has been drawing for at least 10 years
I love this! I am so thankful that my mom pushed me to keep practicing tae kwon do even when I complained because I really did love it and when I got my black belt it was such an achievement! But I’m also glad that she let me quit swim team because I legitimately hated it. Very important to learn how to distinguish between something you don’t like and something that’s just hard right now.
You’re an Angel 🥹 my parents are 60 and never learned that lesson. They get frustrated and immediately throw down new hobbies and skills, even if they spent copious amounts of money on it. As their child, it rubbed off on me hard. I’m 25 and trying to rewire my brain to understand that practice and discipline breed skill, not being “naturally good at something” so thank you for encouraging your little one and teaching her beautiful life lessons!!
I’m an animation major and I highly recommend your daughter watch a video on the 12 principles of animation. She may not be able to apply everything at first but it’s good to know about and can really bring a spark to certain animations when applied correctly!
i love how good of a parent you are!! if i asked my mom about something like this or told her i was overwhelmed with it, she would ignore it or act like im overreacting so thank you, thank you, thank you for setting an example and giving your daughter a role model!
You’re a good mom. Non of my parents ever gave me this kind of support when it came to my hobbies like this until I myself spent unhealthy amount of hours in them or spent my own money (which I would earn from doing services for neighbors). This made me so happy ❤
My son had this problem. He’s very gifted at some things and that made him assume everything comes easy. When he come up against something he isn’t instantly good at he is not impressed lol but I don’t let Hun quit until he’s actually given it an honest try.

No matter how simple it looks, the proud "So cool!" expresses so much. :)
These videos help me heal my inner child, so thank you 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I love that you realised she wasn’t in a head space to do it and remembered later to encourage her. You are raising a top tier artist
I've got tears in my eyes!! This is absolutely beautiful. Her art is so good for using just a mouse! You're an amazing parent for encouraging her. 💜
Can’t wait to see her stuff in the warrior cats MAP project community. (As her I bet she’ll know)
Ahh as an animator I love this!! I'm still kinda bad at it, it takes SO MUCH practice. It's so cool youve encouraged her! I wish my mom did that lol-
This is actually making me cry a little. I was never told it was okay to struggle with new things until it was far too late and the idea that if I’m not immediately good at something I’ll always be bad at it has stuck with me hard. I’m so glad your daughter will grow up without that roadblock.
Your kids always sound like they are so happy, with all my heart I wish that everyone could have that, good job, Tori.
The last part is so true.
Wish I could show my parents this but they would just yell at me more.
That's some pretty great art!
How to learn is such an important skill.
You are a wonderful parent, I wish my parents would have been more supportive and encouraging to me. Never stop being amazing

been playing violin since I was 8
Wanted to quit multiple times as a beginner.
It wasn't like normal high school or middle school orchestra, it sounded like it was nearly at a professional level (might be a bit of a stretch)
After 13 collective hours of practice, (my back hurt like hell) we performed.
Dont give up on your hobbies.
teaching kids (& adults) how to use tools they don’t have an immediate affinity for, especially how you did it here (not brute force but tutorials & encouragement & rest before reviving) is one of the most useful things a parent or teacher can do.
Golly how i wish i had such supportive family, what a lucky child! God bless you!
When that cat blinked my heart swelled with love and pride for her❤️ animation is HARD so good for her and you momma!!
The world needs more amazing mums like you
We need more moms like you in this world. I love how you encourage your children into doing things they love to do.
This makes me want to cry. Your kids are so lucky. Seeing things like this really makes me grieve for my childhood lol.
I've been animating since I was 10, and seeing this makes me so happy. Seeing young animators working hard to create things they love is amazing!
You are an amazing mother!!
You are a fantastic mother!
The SO COOL made me smile
I'M SO HAPPY FOR HER I live seeing new artists and animators trying their hand at something they've never done before
-someone who has been drawing for at least 10 years
I’m not a parent myself but watching people being good parents helps my inner child to heal ❤
Why couldn't you have been my mom lol you're awesome, I learn how to parent in an easier manner by watching your videos. So, thank you!
The way you describe her and her art reminds me of myself as a kid! Thank you so much for nurturing her interests and helping her progress in them!
I’m an animation major and I highly recommend your daughter watch a video on the 12 principles of animation. She may not be able to apply everything at first but it’s good to know about and can really bring a spark to certain animations when applied correctly!
You give me joy from inside out vibes and I love it
i love how good of a parent you are!! if i asked my mom about something like this or told her i was overwhelmed with it, she would ignore it or act like im overreacting so thank you, thank you, thank you for setting an example and giving your daughter a role model!
When he come up against something he isn’t instantly good at he is not impressed lol but I don’t let
Hun quit until he’s actually given it an honest try.
Legit made me cry, I think you are an amazing parent and I wish I had a parent like you growing up! You will always be a role model to me
I really wish I had a parent like you growing up 🙏🥲
You are the kind of parent I wish I had growing up. Encouraging her when she needs it and not giving up on her, that's going to mean everything
I'm so proud of her too! Anything worth doing takes work learning to do it.
Me as a 12 years old artist/ animator which posts her work I can confirm, I aswell was really flustered with my animation when I started, BUT I then have taught my self how to animate in a app with watching videos and reading books and tutorials, btw your daughters animation is really cool keep it up!
This spoke to me so, so much. Thank you with all of my heart
I'm an animation student, and this makes me so happy. It's like seeing the beginning of something big!! Hope she keeps creating with such enthusiasm
UA-cam is the best classroom! As a creative who is ever evolving in digital art skills myself, I can’t stress enough how much UA-cam videos have helped me learn.
I think learning to step away from something and going back to it is also a great skill to have. Sometimes we just need a minute
Me as a full grown adult who is starting a business from scratch. I really needed to hear this ❤
