We're still giggling over how long what should have been a simple project actually too us...at the end of the day, we had a lot of laughs and shared a few glasses of wine scratching another item off the to do list of making our dome home more comfortable for this coming winter. It's hard to believe that we're already going into the last week of summer (yes, I know summer technically goes into September but we are in Canada, remember) 😜. We just got started on next week's project and it's going to make a MASSIVE improvement to our quality of life...any guesses?!
I am a 50 years married man to the same woman with two sons and a daughter (all married) and four grandsons. I have watched all of your episode to their ends. I am always sad when the episode finishes. I find you two very inspiring for the future of humanity at a time when all that is in the news is bad, doom and gloom. Keep up the good spirits
I agree. With my own health issues draining my energy, and world problems seemingly never ending, I love my weekly cheering up video from these lovely guys.
A quick note from suburban England. You two are so inspirational, my two boys (2 and 7) love your videos so much that we’ve been inspired to turn over part of our garden to growing fruit and veggies this year. They are so proud of their crops this year! And can we take a moment for the two of you…?! You’re both so capable, loving and kind (and handsome!) that you’re the perfect role models for my children. Hugs from us! X
Watching you two, I'm reminded, "Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it."
@@tylerandtodd I love this too! Thanks @ Che e! I've been watching for a while, can't remember when I first found you or how. I'm just an ol' Aussie girl interested in going off grid soon. You two are so absolutely incredible with the amount of hard projects you have tackled together! When you despair, look back at what you have achieved in so little time on this journey as a result of your grit and determination. What amazes me most is how well you have kept your relationship in tact, you are both able to diffuse each other's moments so easily. There has been some rough days, but you always finish it with a smile no matter what or how exhausted you are. This fact, is also a big lesson for others. I don't think there has been one episode where I have not laughed or teared up. You're an inspiration, I thank you for that. Love you both!
@@tylerandtodd wow!! That quote was made for you two!! I’m always exhausted just watching how much you accomplish every week. Remember to factor in some down time too. If we don’t get a video every Sunday, of course we’ll all be sad, but we’ll totally understand as we’ve all got your backs 👍👍. Love you all so much (even squirrel lol) from me, Miss Molly and Mr Moose in Ireland xo Ps are the containers on their way per chance?!?
@@mj2745 Sadly bushfires would reduce the possibilities for this is Australia. I could imagine a spot backing onto a beach or a lake. It would be a dream for me too. Nothing beats the Aussie bush. There would be more wildlife encroaching. Even where I live (in suburbia) on the edge of the Victorian coast we have koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, parrots, magpies, lyrebirds, snakes etc. but bushfire season fills me with dread. Damn I'd love to do it off grid here.
Honestly I'd watch you two vacuum. Just listening to you talk with each other and interact is so lovely. You're so kind to each other. Thanks for 26 minutes of love and kindness.
And meanwhile you have to set up the cameras, make sure the batteries are charged, fly the drone, get the B-roll, and then edit the hell out of it all. It would take half the time if you didn't always take us along but we appreciate it so much! Thank you, and have a great week!

@@tylerandtodd Lily is sweet and hilarious all at once. Under the plastic at the sink was 😂. You guys did an amazing job. I think this was one of my favourite episodes of yours. The tiles are 😍
You guys make all of life's ups and downs okay again because you go through your ups and downs with giggles! Really, it's you all's relationship- it all comes back to mutual respect and joy in each other and it's been really nice to see your relationship mature (at least in part - I've just watched since Dad's cabin=). There is so much dysfunction in the world, it is peaceful to feel a small part of your projects driven by a loving relationship. Keep radiating! It's what we all need.
To balance light and dark in a design ,lay out your tiles , take a photo and turn it to grey scale . You can see light / dark values easier . Looks great yall
I honestly love watching you two. Im a relatively new subscriber, but the two of you are serious relationship goals. I love how a conflict is resolved with you two, and I feel like this is what a healthy relationship looks like. A simple statement of acknowledgement, a simple statement of "yeah thats been happening", and a simple apology. You guys have an amazing home and I'm so proud of you!

I was so pleased to see how Lily is really getting involved with the construction and I could see that her assistance was essential. What a beautifully filmed episode, you guys make everything so great.
This episode exemplified your teamwork perfectly!. Tyler looked "uncomfortable" (an understatement if ever there was one), so Todd stepped up (and UP) to do the high-wire act, although he seemed to regret his gallantry once he was in the stratosphere. I would have shaken the rivets right out of that scaffold before I got halfway up, so no shade. At all! You two communicate better than telepathy, I swear. Any friction is acknowledged, addressed, and rectified before the drama meter gets off the snooze button. Huge props for that, boys! The tile is gorgeous, and welcoming back the windows made a big difference in your home. This post may have the record for laughs per minute. I could not stop smiling. Love to my boys, their boys, and darling Lily!
Cat power! Lily is so wonderful. Every workplace should have a Lily. 😁 Circles: To cut a perfect circle, you first draw a perfect circle. 😁 Next project for Todd: Create a new game! Sort the Tiles, with Gamemaster Lily. 😁 And as always: What? Did it end so soon? But DON'T make your vlogs longer. Not even the worst vlogaholic wants you to drop from exhaustion. For us all, this is a lifetime project. ❤
Lily is the star of today's vlog...she loves it when you boys are in the dome and she can be on camera......so cool Lily goes outside (maybe a halter and line for her? See Camper Vibe girls on UA-cam with a dog and cat traveling in their van.) The tile back-slap is beautiful and so well designed!

I must say, the three hours spent on the floor, moving tiles around, paid off. Big time. Well done to the both of you. I love that the boys love the river as much as they do.
I can't believe how perfect the tile colors blend with the dome's interior, wood tones, contents of the glass jars overhead and appliances! Well done guys! You two can make me smile every single week. I absolutely love watching you. Even when things don’t work out exactly like was expected you just laugh and keep going. Like I said…I absolutely love watching you. (From upstate New York)
Omgosh!!!! So close to 200k!!! Each one of these vids throughout the summer has gotten better and better and better! Tyler you are a whiz at editing! This was so much fun to watch. And I could really relate to the ups and downs of a living together couple working together. 😂
I'm so glad you mentioned the editing. I am constantly amazed at how well these segments are shot and edited. The results are professional quality rivaling cable shows with large crews and big budgets.
You two are making an incredible home together! For your countertops especially around the sink there is no easier to use or better than Rubio Monocoat 2C Oil. If you want to keep your island to be able to use it and chop right on it you can use either just straight food grade Mineral oil (most pharmacies have it) or you could try using fractionated coconut oil and beeswax. Make it into a paste while melting it together over a double boiler (3/4 cup fractionated coconut oil with 1/4 cup beeswax)! You can buy lots of different conditioners and there are many that have a lot of merit but I find this best so far. Make sure the coconut oil is Fractionated if you use that or it can go rancid. You can also make the paste with just food grade mineral oil and Beeswax. It will keep the counter food safe and you can refresh with the paste when needed. Rubio however is best for around the water! (Hubby & I are software/app/web dev with a hosting company but we also have a Woodshop LOL Gotta diversify these days!) Love your videos and look forward to Sundays!
This is the most intimate episode. The editing is crazy good - I watched starting the truck sequence a few times. I'm building a big glass greenhouse and take comfort in seeing how you handle setbacks. At age 69 I'm still learning much from you two, including better relationship with my husband and partner of 27 years. You guys rock.
Your kitchen backsplash turned out so unique and beautiful! It fits in perfectly with your overall style and furniture design in the dome. You will enjoy it so much more now that it's almost all done. You guys are amazing. I enjoy sharing in your lives and love each Sunday. Hugs!
What the two of you have accomplished is awesome! Proves how creative and hard working y'all are!!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole process!!!!!
Todd is like the energizer bunny 😆 Ok, I think I’ll give AG1 a try. I’ve been seeing so many UA-camrs use and “push” it, but you guys are so much more sincere, and not pushy at all. Love you guys💜, all 5 of you. I’m so excited today, cause I’m picking up a new puppy from the shelter, for our daughter, today. 8 week old rescue, little mutt. 🥰
Loved those tiles when you guys were using them around the little wood stove in the RV. Good to see them again, and they really look good in the dome's kitchen. Great job, guys!
Hi to the two cutest, busiest guys around! Fabulous vlog as usual! Tyler, when you licked your finger to clean Todd's cheek I swooned, how dam sweet is that! Your interaction with Lily is so cute, that is one lucky cat. It's great she goes out and sticks close to her brothers! Back splash looks amazing! Hugs and kissed to all! Have a great week!
Hahaha the funny part is it wasn't supposed to be sweet...he was actually kind of annoyed because I literally ALWAYS have dirt on my face. He had cleaned something off my forehead just minutes before LOL
I'm really enjoying watching all of your dome videos and the trials and tribulations that y'all have had along the way. My partner and I have been living in a DIY van for 3 years and I'm currently designing and will be building a glass dome home in Colorado next year, so your videos have been insightful and entertainting to watch. One thought that I've had for your home that I plan to do on mine is this: You should consider adding some operable vents to your floor (locate them as far from your exhaust fans as possible). The coolest air in your home is underneath it. Adding the vents and then turning your exhaust fans on would pull the cool air from under the dome into your space while the exhaust fans suck the warmer air out. Throw some critter mesh over the vents (on the exterior) to keep the critters outside where they belong. Keep up the great work!
My kids and I just discovered your channel and love watching your videos every night to catch up. No matter how rough the day was, you always make us smile. And as a “not handy at all” SMBC who is currently trying to fix up and old home with a newborn strapped to my chest at the same time, I also learn so much from you. Especially about attitude when I don’t know how to do something or if things don’t go as planned. Thank you for these amazing videos and for sharing with us. And o my goodnesses, your fur babies.😍I love people who, like us, treat their fur babies like part of the family.
The dome looks so cosy, I love the splash back it makes such a difference, but I had a panic attack watching Todd do the maths, I struggle dividing the number ten! You both work so hard and put your hearts & soul's into everything you do, I love watching your adventures every week, thank you for bringing us along :)
I love how you guys play to your strengths…and that they are complementary. Lucky some days that Todd is okay with heights and Tyler is good with light grey grout! So true, one problem at a time, celebrate your successes. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🐑🐑NZ
I love it everything looks beautiful. I love the backsplash and I love the way the Dome looks! I think it's going to help out a lot with the temperatures. I love how Charlie Eddie and Lily check out everything y'all do. I enjoyed this video. See y'all next Sunday
I am practicing the very same strategy: have a list, do one thing at a time, take credit for each and every item accomplished. Even if the day's list is not completely done...take credit for what did get done, and push the rest to tomorrow. Most importantly - Reward Yourself! Even a small win, day after day, will accumulate quickly. Hey! - I just invented the Tyler and Todd channel!! LOL 🤗
You two have such a beautiful family! Love the tile. It gives the space a bit more personality. Your content has me jumping to watch as soon as I possibly can--it's awesome. You all make me so happy!
Just say no. Not to be a nag, but there have been studies done about four day work weeks. The result is that working less hours results in increased productivity, not to mention enthusiasm for what you are doing being a lot more fun. I am here to say that you have the rest of your life. Why not enjoy the journey. I mean, what absolutely has to get done before the snow flies? That said, I love your creations. You have created the most posh woodland living I have ever seen. Amazing! Yah yah, I know. It didn't get done by sitting around. OK Todd, I hear that. But you two seem to balance one another out in the fast and slow department. And that's a beautiful thing. Why not utilize it. And btw, I love the new mood lighting.
I laugh right along with y'all. Been there on so often feeling my way along... Love to you both, please keep up the great content. Love the river breaks. Charlie and Eddie are way lucky!
I love it, love it all. From the creativity, the attitude of lets test it and see, to having each other's backs when things spiral, and nobody gets left out of your care-bear love. It is all so supportive, fun and loving. Looking good guys, so good. ❤
You guys! That backsplash looks fantastic! I know what renovations are like and yes, Todd is right, tackle one thing at a time. You both work together so well and it’s as a team that you’ll see all the hard work you put in come to fruition. Great job! ❤️
You two are the reason why this late born baby boomer feels hope for the future of the world (at least in the ‘western’ cultural world). I can never remember what your generation has been dubbed - my sons are part of it too). You have a tenacity, entrepreneurialism, problem solving skills and perseverance that will ensure the survival of our species in the face of the self centredness of my generation as exemplified by too many current leaders of our countries (especially mine - UK and your neighbour’s). On a lighter note, I love the uncontainable excitement of the dogs about the windows reveal! 🤣🤣 Danish oil on our iroko wooden benches mean they’re as beautiful 20 years later as they were when we installed them.
You have convinced me that this is something I could never ever ever do. I would love to live off-grid in a tiny house and all that but it is way way too complicated.
I was just watching this thinking about how much I'd love to live in a dome like them and be off grid, then I realized how there's no way I'd be up to doing all the physical work so....I'd love to live in a dome and be off grid only if someone else sets it all up for me!
The Backsplash looks great, and it's an original piece of art, Lillie jumping under plastic with her tail out made me laugh, oh you guys keep me smiling! Thank You!
I really enjoyed seeing a little more of Lilly in this video. I’m also thrilled that Lilly is getting some loosely supervised outdoor time. I loved the ambiance created by the light that comes in around the skylight cover. Also your tile looks great.
You could try Rubio Mono coat for the counter tops. It’s used on hardwood floors and I’ve used it on kitchen tables and it holds up AMAZING! It has a matte sheen and you can get it in a clear coat.
FyI. I worked for a professional contractor for many years. When It came to applying any adhesive they always used "smear it on". As long as you understand the meaning of the word it really doesn't matter. Please don't let a difference of a word that has the same meaning get you upset and come between you. It truly is trivial.. I love you guys so much. I have become so invested in your journey. Big Bear Hugs for Arizona.

I love that tile. Kind of a Moroccan feeling. It's super nice that you can use what you already have.
Sunday's with Tyler and Todd is on my "Things That Bring Me Joy" list. Thanks for sharing glimpses of your fascinating life!
Bitter sweet ✨I’m all caught up! Now I’ll need to wait for Sundays to see what’s up 😜 till next Sunday 👽💞✨
Really I wish it was more than one video each Sunday! Love you two and the dogs and cat is so sweet!
Your kitchen backsplash turned out so unique and beautiful! It fits in perfectly with your overall style and furniture design in the dome. You will enjoy it so much more now that it's almost all done. You guys are amazing. I enjoy sharing in your lives and love each Sunday. Hugs!
I wish youtube had a super like button. Because times like this when i see your posts the simple like button doesnt do justice to how much i love it.
What the two of you have accomplished is awesome! Proves how creative and hard working y'all are!!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the whole process!!!!!
They're seriously so hard workers! It's insane honestly!
Thank you Myron, really appreciate it!
Squirrel wants to help so much. I prefer that name for her🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
Todd is like the energizer bunny 😆
Ok, I think I’ll give AG1 a try.
So glad LIly is getting to visit the Great Outdoors!
Loved those tiles when you guys were using them around the little wood stove in the RV. Good to see them again, and they really look good in the dome's kitchen. Great job, guys!
18 hours omg that would be a dream!!!
WELCOME BACK TO SUNDAY. SO GLAD TO SEE YOU TWO AGAIN. LIFE WOULD BE SO DULL WITHOUT YOUR SMILES.🤩
Finance tips with Todd!!! Yassssssss!!!!!!
Love Sundays with you guys !🥰🥰
It's made SUCH a difference. It's pretty exciting!
The backsplash is beautiful! Well done, gents!
The backsplash looks great! The random, colorful tiles bring life to the place. Well done guys!
I love those tiles. Lily is quite the supervisor, isn't she?
The dome looks awesome. You made lots of good progress. Love how you will tackle anything. Men of many talents.
Not gonna lie - totally cheered when you pulled out that tape and numbered the tiles ✨😂🙌🏼
I love it, love it all. From the creativity, the attitude of lets test it and see, to having each other's backs when things spiral, and nobody gets left out of your care-bear love. It is all so supportive, fun and loving. Looking good guys, so good. ❤
Thanks a million Beth!
The best part was seeming the kitty butt sticking out from under the plastic over the sink...haha..love it...such a cat thing...
Congrats! Your dome home is beautiful. So glad to see Lilly so much this week, she is adorable and funny 😻
Love watching you guys build your empire 💕
I always look forward to you guys providing entertainment for my Sunday night dinner theater.
Finally, Lilly gets the spotlight!
Much luv from Texas.
You could try Rubio Mono coat for the counter tops. It’s used on hardwood floors and I’ve used it on kitchen tables and it holds up AMAZING! It has a matte sheen and you can get it in a clear coat.
Definitely going to look into this, thanks so much for the suggestion Kelly!
Highlight of my day when you guys post 😊 sending love as always penny and Travis 🐕
Love how precise & methodical you both are! No cutting corners!!😆 💙💙#Teamwork
Can’t wait to see what y’all got up to this week
Making Dreams Come True.
Just getting to WATCH the 2 of U ((WORK)) together makes the kittens' toe of seeing Dreams come true; yes, u/r dreams but the dreams of the few 'Old farts my age, the 70+ range. Four hours late, but I was dreaming. Hope I live long enough to see both of you turn 49. That is the "Charm Age" too old to part ways and at ease with one another.
