  • I had a startling discovery this morning that boils right down to doctor negligence and it scared the tar off of me!! It could be what's been underlying so many of my medical problems through the years and SO SIMPLE to fix if guided the right way! I'm baffled. We have to take our health into our own hands because else some very important things could be missed. Only you know how you're really feeling and that something could be going wrong in your body! Come here my story.

      It's true - I have to say, my doc doesn't make me feel like that, however, when you express concerns about your health they often want to treat your anxiety over maybe the root cause.

    I've had to learn the hard way when advocating for sick loved ones that I need to do my research and arm myself with information. It's just the nature of the beast when it comes to all healthcare systems today. It's so important for us, especially us women who never want to rock the boat or be rude, to have faith in our own intelligence, learned knowledge, and instincts. Each one of us is capable of researching and learning, and then in-turn, asking for what we know is in the best interest of our health (and yes, sometimes you'll even have to be a bit demanding when it's obvious you are being brushed-off). Thank you Anne for another very much needed message.🙏💖💕❤

    Ann ,I’m the one that also has CFS/ME ,Fibromyalgia,and ,and lupus and has caught several things that the Drs haven’t .I’ve been through many DRs since my other Dr retired and I will keep looking until I find what I want .I have said exactly what you have !Why is it when they dont know why it’s not important but if we ask questions we are a hypochondriac ?Especially when it is comorbid with what we might already have .Doctors are not thorough!! I did the same thing and I am border line and I did have neuropathy but they didn’t believe me and wouldn’t do the test until they gave me anti siezer medicine for something else and it worked .

      @@BobbiGroon oh dear… ugh… I’m so sorry! It’s just maddening! I went to an Internist one year in and he mentioned depression. I was actually contacted by a newscaster and was on the evening news testifying that I had no reason to be depressed but that the illness was real! That was 35 years ago! Not much has changed!

    Many seniors are on Many Many medications. If you're insulin resistant then it's almost impossible to lose weight on the standard American diet. Your body was giving you a warning! Glad you figured this out Anne! Yes, we each have to be our own health detective.

    When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes. Later in life I began to start on the path of diabetes again! A few moths ago I tested pre diabetic. That is why I'm so glad you are starting this channel. I have done keto lifestyle for the past 10 yrs. When I would fall off this plan my body goes into havoc mode! I have a wonderful Dr that keeps a check on this. I'm still learning! Again, thank you!! Hugs!!

      I was a smidgeon away from gestational diabetes too! I think these things are in our system years in advance. I did some genetic testing a few years ago on my heart and the only thing that came up was a sugar processing problem that I could pass on to my kids. I never really figured out what that was - hmm.

      @@anneclayseekinghealth I agree. I just find it interesting that the medical field "wants" us health without any text book knowledge given to us. Also, finding good-for-your-body foods seems to be a struggle for most of us! Everything is made with the same stuff that keeps us sick. ugh! I like the fact that my area here in PA has small local butcher shops. Do you have a butcher shop or do you buy your cuts of meat at a grocery store? Or both?

People tend to put their lives completely in doctors hands when really they are just humans working at a job that sometimes causes them to feel burnt out and causes them to just go through the motions. I worked in medical malpractice for decades. I have a great mistrust of the medical profession as a result. I'll see a naturopath if I need anything. Doctors are paid to treat disease, not cure it.

    • @anneclayseekinghealth
      @anneclayseekinghealth  Місяць тому

      I bet you have stories! They are - they don't cure it. I had a doctor in NJ years ago that worked on curing people - unfortunately, most tests and treatments were not covered by insurance and I put $60K on my credit card as an investment into my health - but in the end - It didn't really work. At least he tried - but he was getting really rich off a bunch of desperate people that would do anything to cure their illnesses.

    I’m doing the Dr. Boz sardine fast. it brings down blood sugar, and you lose weight as well. It’s the 2nd one I’ve done. Also Anita ketogenic woman right now is doing an omega-3 fast which I think would be much better lol because you can eat any fish that is high in omega-3 not just sardines.
    As long as I’ve been doing keto, I’m still fighting blood sugar issues, and I couldn’t figure out why, everybody kept saying it’s stress, but I really don’t have stress to the point where it should make my blood sugars go up. One problem was my sleep, but that I kind of control much better, even though here I am up at 1:30 in the morning , although this is unusual now for me, but anyway I was still having issues and I was going crazy, because I couldn’t figure it out, and come to find out it is my cell phone. EMF’s from our electronic devices, wireless Internet, cause not only high blood sugars but also high blood pressure, which thank God I don’t have that issue, but my husband does it’s so frustrating. I had to ask my doctor to do A1c test on me and I do have a glucose monitor. I had a fight with him to get a prescription for a CGM and finally, I did get it but my goodness it was so expensive. I’m hoping those come down in price so I can get them again.
    Love these videos you’re doing. ❤️

    I get my blood tests every 6 months. Pre Keto I was prediabetic. It is normal now. My inflammation levels and cholesterol are always quite high. I am worried about a stroke from the high cholesterol. I went off the Keto for a bit and was trying the Mediterranean for a bit. Of course I gained 16 lbs! Then I tried carnivore but couldn't stick to it and didn't lose any weight. Diet hasn't seemed to help the cholesterol and I don't want to go on medication. I am not going to give up. I am back to Keto and intermittent fasting. Did your therapy help? My dr. wants to send me to EMDR therapy for PTSD but I am hesitant because I just feel too tired to dreg it all up again. The health journey is such a complicated affair isn't it.

    • @anneclayseekinghealth
      @anneclayseekinghealth  Місяць тому +1

      The health journey is VERY complicated. There have been years of my life where I felt like all I did was focus 100 percent on my health. Therapy always helps but for me it was more of a place to just pour out my emotions and regroup. It was a place I felt validated and you know how you don't want to be "the" person who always has problems? It was great to talk to someone that HAD to listen to me and he actually gave me a few things to think about. Mostly he just validated me. EMDR is rough. I know someone that's doing it and it brings EVERYTHING up... down to the tiniest detail. Some people sweat by it. I don't have any personal experience with it.

      Lots of people drink their coffee and they even add butter or MCT oil to it. I'm not a coffee drinker. Tea you have to be careful with because it does have oxalates - which I'll explain in another video - however some people find help with the oxalate dumping with a cup of tea a day. As long as you don't add any flavoring or sweetner to it, it should be ok. Sometimes you have to get yourself into the rhythm and do whatever makes it easiest for you!
