    I think the most fun part of Resolving Vigor in the archive is that it can be extended by the vision that extends heals over time! Throwing out an 8 second green vigor feels so strong

      Haha there you go, thank you for sharing! I posted this in discord a bit ago that may help as well:
      "For those using the new Warden build: Its way overkill defensively for the first few Arcs. A fairly large quality of life increase you can do in this area is to drop vigor and bring in Crushing Shock. I tested it out and 1 lightweaves C.Shock kills or almost kills most of the lesser adds in Arc 1 ish. So throw dots out, weave a bit of C.Shock around and kill things (even if you are unable to lightweave well, still just use the ability) and weave in intermittent heavy attacks to keep magicka up. Youll get through much faster than waiting on unmodified dots to chew through everything.
      One of the biggest responses has been the lack of damage in early arcs. Thats just a byproduct of the design. The whole intent of the build is to grow in strength as you get deeper into the archive. Once you get to arc 3-4 area with a bit of vision rng you should start to get in stride and then shortly after that (or even in that area if you had good rng) the build really takes off.
      Its a heavy armor wearing, 64 attribute points into health, Tank CP, health food using, Ice staff heavy attack 1 bar build using sets that don't add "real" damage on their own. The unmodified damage should be expected to be terrible. Just do what you have to do to get through Arc 1-2 if you need more umph behind it, then by Arc 3/4 you should start to feel the build pick up."

    Hi Dooma, the dps is less than the version running deadly. Why does survivability go up with Serpent denial? What is the trick with the gear setup that gets this to arc level 8?

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +2

      Hey buddy all of that is explained in the video. I go over the gear set up piece by piece and explain how we increase our defensive strength. Regarding Serpent's Disdain, it increases our offensive output and extends out important dots that really start to come into play in later arcs when you are kiting around 20 mobs with over a million hp each while also carthweeling around Tho'at shards. The 5 set from it isnt intended to increase survivability.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the chilled proc a one time damage tick then applies chilled/brittle? Wouldn't you want it to proc repeatedly as much as possible instead of extending it's duration. With + 1500% status effect dmg, it hits for like 50k+ and you can potentially get it to proc several times per second as well as constantly burning with heartlands/charged with furnace.
    I played around with a full tank warden with heartlands+frozen watcher with balance double ice staff and back bared weaken, front bar charged. Hold block (frozen watcher channels chill around you while blocking, procing chilled nearly every second on everything within 8 meters) and cast your two frost aoes and ele sus, 45k health and max res with pale order. It was very very easy up to arc 8 but I was only at attunement 2, with 3 it would be extremely strong. I had to leave my house so rip that run.

    • @robmurray5453
      @robmurray5453 Рік тому +1

      Extremely slow on the first couple arcs for sure, until I got attunement. You should try it out

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +3

      Hi Rob! Early on in EA people figured out status effects were king. To this point Heartlands + Charged is very strong. A few videos went out around youtube and people on twitch streaming heartlands and everyone jumped on heartlands as the "must have set" for the Warden. People are forgetting chilled is 1 single damage source, out of many (Although very strong. This also has to do with deadly vs. heartland people were unsure about.). Yes heartlands can juice chilled to very high levels. However, with this type set up, we have taken burning and poisoned and made the whole package comparable. Once you get into very high Arcs, you will be doing MUCH more kiting and running around trying to live (Arc 7+ is a whole different world), which is when this type of set up REALLY shines (although it is quite strong in general damage wise after about Arc 3 or so), when you are running around bleeding out enemies with dots. Sometimes every single second is a circus act just to stay alive, for multiple minutes in a row. Youll be dropping winters revenge constantly like normal, but the effectiveness of its concentration takes a hit, and likewise a bit of your chilled effectiveness. If frost damage isnt rolling, chilled isnt procing. However, once burning and poisons get rolling on targets, they dont let up. 20 seconds a proc for burning vs 4, is an insane amount of lasting pressure you get to add that does the work for you without another button press required, especially if RNG was kind to you with decent Focus Supports stacks.
      Yesterday I did an Arc 8-4 run with the DK version and showed how just applying juiced burning with Serpents is literally all you need to push high. I had 2 total damage sources on my bars from about Arc 6 to Arc 8-4. One of them entropy for heals, one of them burning embers to apply instant burning. Yes its the DK and not the Warden, but the implication is the same. Long lasting, very hard hitting status effects, can be equally as effective when used properly, on any class, vs just procing them a lot.
      This is what I know. Heartlands versions are strong, but also so is this version. With heartlands I didnt make it out of arc 6/7 area. With multiple versions of Serpents, I consistently hit the Arc 8 area. So individual ability and play style will definitely have a factor on which version is better for which person. I suspect before Arc 6 area or so, it doesn't matter either way. This is just putting another option on the table for people to consider if it lines up with their needs/interest. Even though I personally did better with Serpents, I am not trying to posture it against Heartlands.
      I appreciate the comment. I took a bit extra time to explain my thoughts on it thoroughly so I can also use this as a reference for others with similar thoughts as well. The heartlands comment/question is quite consistent. Thank you!

    Hey I was looking at this build and Going to try it out for archive and on your website I noticed you have five piece ice furnace some reinforced some divines but you have the belt reinforced and feet in divines wouldn't you want belt in divines and feet in reinforced since the feet get more armor than a belt and divines is the same on any piece? This would give you a little more resistance.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  10 місяців тому +2

      Hi Def! Great eye! That is a sliding scale that is going to be different for everyone. Race, armor quality, traits, buffs, class passives, etc. all come into play. The goal is to hit 33k with going over it as little as possible. There are many ways to chop it up depending on what you need with no "one right answer." For example. if you are over resist cap, you can dial back your resistances on your armor with a divine trait for more pen. Or remove a protective trait on the jewelry for more resources or infused traits. Or drop a buff like Minor Resolve. Etc. There are lots of little pieces that can all be fine tuned to whatever makes sense in the moment.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +2

      Hi Lee! You can, just be extra-aware of your stamina. You'll have to reposition caltrops quite a bit later on and it can get a little intense. Especially if you have things to interrupt constantly. If I remember right, on a few runs after I got a few penetration visions, I dropped breach altogether. So I think its possible to not worry about it at all once you have enough damage from focused efforts pumping out.

You can mostly avoid anything stamina, direct damage, or physical/martial damage related.

      Hi Geo! You are very welcome and thank you for watching! The main vision you are after is Focused Efforts. You always take that one when its available and get as many as you can. That is the main power behind the build regarding visions. From there picking up 1 scorching support and ferocious support is always wanted as well as all 3 of the sets to get the 2 attros and werewolf (especially the scorching set). I generally try to increase penetration when I can up to the cap, health increase when I can, and from there try to increase dot damage or heals. I hope this helps!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +2

      Hi Oreo! Mainly because Gripping Shards require you to be up near melee range and then requires you to "dance" around melee range area but while still also kiting the mobs just out of their melee range to not take additional damage. Vs. Winter's Revenge, you can throw it out across the room and kite much safer. Its not an issue until around or after the Arc 6 area, then you really start to take a beating if you are just camping up in melee range with a set up like this. It's just safer. Later your health will be yo-yoing from full to 1hp and back constantly, you won't want to to take even 1 extra pixel of damage at that point haha. Great question, thank you!

    so i like both these builds the deadly version and this one but im wanting to make sure i can still do vet runs aswel without having to change over in-between, would you say this version or the deadly version is the better option for still doing dungeons

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +1

      Hi Hamish! Do you mean solo'ing dungeons or as a DPS in groups? This build is specifically designed for upper arcs in the Archive. You are in mostly a tank set up designed around the Archive's mechanics with very little unmodified damage. You are depending on proper vision stacking to get the bulk of your damage for later Arcs, of which the build then picks up in that area and takes off. This would do very poorly as a dps build and is highly not advised because although you may not die, you will certainly be holding others back around you unless you heavily modified the build. There are much better builds to use for that content for damage that is also over the top for individual survivability as well.
      Even considering typical solo content such as vma and vvate, this would be significantly overkill in the defensive area, although you should be able to easily just walk right through both arenas without any issues other than low damage if you were already doing them in general. But altering them for more damage such as attribute points, cp, and food (at minimum) would be advised. Even if you wanted to solo very dungeons, I would still look to add more damage unless you were comfortable with a super slow and steady pace.
      The intent of the build is to take advantage of damage over time status effects using Ice Furnace to proc them, Serpent's Disdain to make them last indefinitely, and using the Archive's visions to juice this damage exponentially. The build just doesnt function the same outside of the Archive due to this design "needing" the Archives visions to make the damage truly relevant.
      I am not trying to discourage you from using the build, I just want there to be a clear expectation so you don't waste your time putting it together if this isnt what you are looking for. I hope this helps and thank you for watching!

I was asking because you stated in the deadly version that you put it through vet dungeons and through VVH i was asking as im building one of them as we speak but if it was too slow then i will build seperate for that as needed. And please dont feel that ure detailed reply would ever discourage me on your builds. I struggle with 2 bar builds simply because i always have and have never been able to change that other than a necro tank, and yours have in the past allowed me to do content that i simply have not been able to do in the past so thank you for that. And again thank you for the reply and i look forward to your future builds.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much for the kind words and I am genuinely glad the builds have worked so well for you. In Hindsight I wish I explained that just a bit differently in the videos. I tried to focus primarily on the Archve aspect and explained the non-archive things a bit poorly by not including enough information. If you wanted to do dungeons, it can work, but I would shave off most of the defensive things and add back in damage. The thing to consider is, if you are changing attribute points, food, mundus, cp, a few skills, and potentially a gear set, it may be easier (and probably better for you) to just use a different build entirely.
      I think the biggest takeaway for you to consider what works for you and where is: Ice Furnace and Serpent's Disdain are both great pvp sets in the right context, however, they are both fairly poor pve sets in most all contexts, outside of the Archive.

      Hi Tex! Any race can "work" just to different degrees. I just did a clear with a Khajiit on the Sorc to somewhere around mid Arc 7, so its definitely possible. Just make sure you try to hit resist cap for the higher arcs.

    Ok so used this build yesterday once in endless archive and it's extremely tanky. Damage output was ok getting better in later arcs. Whats the best visions to aim for mate? I do like the warden for EA and this build suits me great so cheers!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  Рік тому +2

      Hi Carlos! I am glad you like the build and thank you so much for the comment! It's way overkill for survivability in early Arcs for sure. You can drop vigor for a spammable like Crushing Shock and get in a flow of using that + heavy attacks for magicka. It will help get through the early arcs a little quicker. I usually just throw on C.Shock and it's enough to speed it up enough for me. 1 light weaved C.Shock will kill or almost kill most lesser enemies in 1 global in Arc 1.
      The main vision you should always go for is Focused Efforts. As many as you can get, every time. You also want the one that gives the bleed when you heavy attack and Scorching Support. From there its all the usual stuff that's strong for every build. You can mostly avoid anything stamina, direct damage, or physical/martial damage related.

    Damn you made a elite build better very well done. Question, i dont have the time to do writs etc then get into arc 8, would your original build get to ARC 6? I did update the build, but it seems slower out of the gate and my lack of time.... With the original build i was on the last cycle 2nd wave boss come out and the ground fire ae goes off at the worst time, kill the 2 adds and the third wave comes with the boss and i knew it was time for a drink... Was in Arc 5... Ty again.. looking forward to your other builds.

      Hi Bill! Thank you so much for the kind words! Just do what you have to do to get through the early Arcs. Whatever makes it smoother for you. The build really picks up its strength after a few Arcs then by Arc 4 or so with a bit of good vision RNG, it really starts to take off. You got this and thank you for watching! 🙏

With your builds you make EA very refreshing and simple, now I lack time lol don't grow up folks it interferes with gaming... Seriously EA for me seemed very intimidating at first, now it's fun . Thank you so much for the kind words Bill, I am glad the builds are helping you in that way. That is a large part of why I do what I do regarding 1 bar builds, as consistent as I do it. For those a bit older, inured, disabled, disfigured, or just want a simple modified way to play. I am a disabled vet myself and understand the impact of accommodation on our lives. Players responses like yourself has been a big motivator for me to continue it at the pace I have vs just putting out meta stuff for views. So thank you for that. As long as this modified builds keep providing value to players, I will keep doing it.
      I am working on the other classes now. DK is complete and I will start those guides tomorrow. People already "voted" for the Nightblade to be next so that will be immediately following the DK. Thank you again for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day! 🙏

Health values ramp up big time in later arcs and a players individual ability to stack dots and kite well will really start to shine. I just checked a recent VOD and I hit Arc 7 in about 3.5 hours but that was with talking and breaks and what not during stream.
