@seidelranch what series 5 ton did those wheels come off? I know there are several versions of wheels, from lmtv to mrap, etc. Those actually look great!
I am not sure what 5 ton those came off of. I bought them from someone that already had them off. These are 5 ton wheels that have the bud style pattern.
so did they end up clearing? I've seen companies somehow run 16.00R20s on these trucks before, not sure what modifications they did but it looks amazing
Yes, they run on it fine. I had to trim the small part of the fender in the back but other than that they work great. If you turn all the way hard the tire just starts to rub the steering gearbox. I have a plan for that though.
Well how's it going? Btw do you know exactly what model those tires came off of? Do you pack enough way to be able to make them tires get traction? Have you thought about putting a locking rear differential under the truck?
I don't know the exact machine they were on, I just was told they are for a 5 ton military truck. The truck use to get stuck in wet grass in my pasture. Now, it does not even spin a tire. These tires seems to really grab in well on dirt. The truck weighs over 10k lbs, so I think it will be good. I was thinking if I have any traction issues in the future I might go that route and 4x4.
