Just bought a Nina foodi XL and your videos are so great. I made some steak and potatoes last night watching your videos and they turned out so good. Now watching this video because I want some salmon and broccoli 😋keep the videos coming.
That is really good to hear... thanks for trying the steak and potato recipe and sharing your results... let me know how the salmon turns and thanks for watching!!!
Great video plain and simple 'you mentioned your southern accent" that adds to receipts flavor. yo' al I am new to this air freyer The Nija and needed some cooking information. Thanks again John...I am 80yrs old and one is never to OLD to learn something new! God Bless. 😉
Thank you, I wouldn't have known the first thing about air frying my salmon. Thanks to your video and expertise I had a delicious meal with salmon over spinach with diced tomatoes and strawberries with a red wine vinaigrette and avocado 😋
Oh yes salmon/samon doesn’t matter...whichever...it tastes sooooo good air crisping with my Ninja...keep your great videos coming! I wrapped mine like a burrito with rice, onions, and peppers too. I don’t miss the pan fry or baking at all👍🏽
I do salmon or sole three times a week in my instant pot vortex always excellent. Try it at 330 def f next time. Compare it to salmon done at 400 same amount of time see which one you like better. Always love your videos.
John Sanders just the usda says you only have to cook Salmon to above 145 deg F. So it might be juicier at that temperature. recipeland.com/how-to/what-perfect-internal-temperatu-297 in this article they say 125 and let it carryover to 145. But that might be a little low. Also If you freeze the fish to -40 it is believed safe to eat raw. So you can cook to your preferred flakiness / juiciness whatever the temperature. Just saying. But we are all learning. That’s why I love watching you because of you experimental yet scientific approach. That way we learn with you.👍
This is a great episode. The air crisp method was very moist and succulent. Flakiness was just right to touch. Let me urge y’all to try this method with your salmon.
Thumbs up for ninja - I’m trying this tonight and I’m a good cook but not with fish. Thanks for sharing! I’m subscribing because you cook to temp not time and gotta love that thermapen!
@@JohnSanders my bf (now husband) would ask when dinner would be ready and I always answered “in 8 degrees” ... he didn’t understand. But now he gets it. Salmon turned out great! I’m not a big fish person (typically canned tuna or cod/halibut / white fish) but realize the nutritional benefits. My husband loves fish and I have a young daughter who I’m trying to expose to as many flavors and textures as possible. She enjoyed it last night too! Looking forward to watching some more of your videos.
HEY !! Did everything you did..did it in the Ninja Air Fryer XL Crisp..tonight! LOVED it ! Best I've ever done.. I wanted to do photo shot bec the crisp seasoned look..oh my goodness it was exciting! ha ha ~perfect~ !
Just ordered the Foodi Deluxe a week ago and discovered your channel. Been binge watching ever since. You mentioned making deer jerky in another video which was exactly what I was planning to do as well, but I couldn't find a video on that. Did you ever do it? Thoughts or tips? Would love a whole video if you're able!
I never got around to that but maybe when deer season comes back around... thanks for watching my videos and I'm glad you enjoy them! Slicing the meat and getting it fairly consistent is one of the things that can be frustrating...i used to use a slicer but you can do it with a knife... hope this helps and thanks again for watching!!
Your videos inspired me to go ahead and buy a Ninja Foodi Deluxe, and I'm enjoykng using it! But I've seen several instances where people are advised NOT to use aerosol spray oils on non-stick surfaces, including air fryer baskets because, or so they say, it can pit or chip and ruin the non stick coating? I've been using spray canola without any bad effects so far, but I don't know about its use over time. Any info on not using aerosol oil sprays? I would think that the manufacturers of both air fryers AND spray cooking oils would say "something" about it. Is it true, or just needless worry about nothing?
Paid the rent, picked up the IP Duo w/Air... and now polishing the Duo due to food shortage here😜. Hey John- curious about shellfish. Could run crab, lobster, mussels, your style, through the IP when you get the chance? thanks Steve
HI John....I will do exactly what you did here with most all salmon filet(s) I have...They arrived today..from Curtis Stone. They are frozen...When I don't have time to thaw, would you have suggestion as to how to air fry? I will be using the Ninja XL Crisp overall....I know if I wanted to season, I could use avocado oil to allow seasonings to stick...primarily concerned with temp and timing when I haven't had time to thaw...if you feel that will be worthy in texture and flavor... Thanks... sorry I went beyond your tutorial here-but I'll be using the above most of what I have... Thank you so much. Nice to be here again... feels like months! :)
@@JohnSanders Nope...look exactly like above... I tried searching but couldn't find one from frozen....? I guess temp would be the only concern...I can always tell when it's done... right? I'm thinking lower rather than highest temp?

Cool video. The thing I am noticing about the air fryer, it simply does the same thing an oven does. That salmon would have came out the same in the oven.
Hi tried the Salmon Fillets yesterday absolutely delicious 😋 we are Ninja Foodi new comers , brilliant bit of kit , by the way love the good old Southern Accent !!!.
Please learn how to pronounce salmon lol. There's no two ways about it. The "L" in salmon is silent, so says linguists, English teachers, and litany of online comments from English speakers all over the world that agree. I'm not trying to be rude here by any means. It was a good cooking tutorial. But if you're going to be working with a food or ingredient and you're teaching others how to cook with it, you should learn how to properly pronounce these things. Take this as constructive criticism, not an insult. The way you pronounce salmon is just wrong. Doesn't matter where you're from, or what your accent is, or if your friends and family say it that way, it's wrong. You don't HAVE to change just because some stranger online suggested you do. But I can tell you as a northerner (from NY) that hearing salmon pronounced like that just screams "southern", and not in a good way.
