Just followed your excellent instructions (but used my own seasoning...fantastic pork chops!!! I'm just learning this new device but am quickly realizing how versatile and simple this cooking method is for most anything!!! My outdoor grill will not get nearly as much use now, especially in bad weather months!!! Thanks!!!

Loving the air fryer - I held off for too long!! Anyway - I found quickly that air-frying poultry and pork - target 5-10 degrees below what you want - typically 155 is what I shoot for - then let it rest for 5 mins and it will continue to cook without drying out. Also - I do 380 for about everything unless it is really thick, then I may drop down a bit. No matter what the meat is - I flip every 4 mins. Chicken breasts go about 8-10 total mins and chops usually go about 15 for thicker chops. The air fryer is fun and I try all kinds of rubs and seasonings that have been gathering dust in my cupboard ; )

I had AF pork chops last night-I did use breading-Shake N Bake CHICKEN flavor on my chops. I find it tastes better on my chops than the actual pork flavor! When King Kullen had the 'Buy 1 get 2 free' on the SNB's, I bought all 3 and emptied the contents into a Tupperware container for flexibility in the amounts I use each time

Shake & Bake is just too expensive now. Instead, I buy the Shop Rite "Bowl & Basket" Italian bread crumbs-generic version of Progresso crumbs. Large container is only $1.99 vs Progresso's $4.50+ price

Way back when, my mom used to cook her pork until is was as dry as as the army boots I’d be issued when I got of age. Like all women of her time, she grew up during the Depression when trichinosis was a thing. “Better to overcook than to get worms,” she used to say. Happily, pork is a lot safer these days. I’ve got the same model air fryer, cook the same sort of chops and let them go for SEVEN minutes at 400 F, turning once after four minutes. They come our at 145 degrees, perfectly done. Seasoning: Good ol’ coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sir, that’s the ticket, straight up.

All whole muscle meat is good/safe with Internal Temperature of 145°F w/ a dwell time of 4 minutes with the exception of ground meats and poultry which is 160F. If your ground meats have higher fat percentage go to 165F.

I’m a newbie to air frying so I’m watching videos to learn as much as I can. Most videos show people misting their meat with oil before placing the basket into the fryer. They say it helps crisp up the meat. Is this something you think is or isn’t important? I saw that you didn’t do this. Also do times and temps vary depending on the brand of air fryer? A lot of videos I’ve watched say to air fry pork chops at 400 but you said 375. So is it 400 or 375? I’m scared I’m going to ruin my pork chops. Thank you for any help/advice! BRW I just bought myself the 5 qt Instant Vortex.

A comment on Lawry's: I have been handcutting a few potatoes as big french fries, poured a little melted butter on them and swished them around, and salted them with Lawry's. Into the Ninja Grill on air fry, 390, till they're done. My grown son loves his potatoes this way.

Nice technique. But, don't be afraid of 145 degree pork. Cooking it to 155 degree sacrifices much-needed moisture. I enjoy your channel.

I think you need to cook pork chops like these at a higher temp in an air fryer and you are looking for a temp of around 140-145 for medium rare this way. My limited experience thus far with my air fryer is that meat retains more moisture/tenderness when cooked in the air fryer, regardless of the end temperature, therefore you should be able to cook many cuts of meat HOT and FAST ! I am still experimenting, but I have been less successful cooking multiple cuts of meat low and slow in my air fryer, but I am also still learning and as a traditionalist I am definitely having to adapt to air fryer techniques.
