- This is my first tool assisted speed run, so don't take it too seriously.
Done with bizhawk thanks to the TAS studio but without the magic sonic lua script that gens uses.
I had to record bizhawk's window with OBS, for some reasons, I wasn't able to output a video file out of bizhawk.

TAS is when a human, by using frame-by-frame and save states to make a theoretical perfect speedrun, so OP was half-right and the other replies were wrong

Imagine seeing a bot destroy a game that you’re struggling with, hurts.
That SB2 up to the first teleporter tickled me ngl, 3 different ejections in 3 seconds.
I have no idea about how I did that, I did it accidentally and I kept it in the run because "why not ?"

in marble hill zone 2 emerald bonus ring i got the 4th chaos emerald and got 152 rings grand point is 164,910

Please forgive me for asking this question, but...
I don't get it, how was this speed run tool assisted?
The whole time it looked and felt like a normal and legit speedrun.
I keep forgetting what the proper tern is called, but you made great use of act warp glitches throughout the game.
You made excellent use of certain tricks and techniques in order to smoothly and easily speed through the zones, such as the way you bounced on 3 item monitors and 2 badniks to fly all the way to the boss in GHZ Act 3.
You pretty much fought all the bosses normally.
And to top it all off, all I saw during this speedrun was pure skill and technique! It's almost impossible for a average skilled STH player like myself to notice anything tool assisted.
I don't know...
I guess in LZ3 when you literally raced and beat Eggdouche to the top before he did, could that have been considered tool assisted???
I honestly don't think I've ever seen anybody as of yet not be tempted to hit Eggman, stay on top of him AND beat him to the top.
Well, I'm talking about normal speedrunners in this case I guess.
But regardless, excellent execution on the TAS and great video!
This run isn't as optimized as others TAS can be, I did this one in few days while others people will take months to find the best optimization and the fastest tricks.
I'm actually a speed runner of this game so I know some tricks and glitches.
GH3, outrunning robotnik in Lab3 are things that a human can do.

1) I can't believe it's been 2 years since I last made this comment and never bothered to check for replies up to this point. Sorry about that lol.
2) Ooooooohhhh okay that makes sense. It's just that at that time I made that comment, I've been watching TAS run videos for a long while and I noticed one thing in common... The best TAS runs were optimized to it's max potential. And to be honest, the way how your TAS was executed just made it initially seem to me like it was a normal speedrun lol. I just couldn't tell and I knew something didn't feel right to me. 🤣
3) PLEASE don't take anything I said the wrong way. I just want to make sure you know that the fact you took any time to make this TAS is impressive and epic by itself! These things take time and are never easy to make, so I truly appreciate all you do!
