The Christians she referring to are in New Game+ that's how they managed to loop back at the beginning with high rank, level and gear. Palestinians, Arabs, Jews, Christians, in year 0 the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Romans attacked. But that doesn't matter (I don't know about that), let's talk about 1948.
Lmao
Palestinians And Arabs? Also, christians? Wtf Christianity wasn't a thing..also Palestine.
In 1948 there were Arabs and Jews - both considered Palestinians. They Israeli state separated to a Jewish state and an Arab state (which didn't really work out)
They never lived in peace
it was okay at first when Muhammad took over. He even used to pray towards Jerusalem until 623. The complexity of the topic is replaced with a need to grasp things through an easier digestible narrative. "Israel bad colonizers . Palestinians oppressed victims." Easy to understand so its mimicked.

Christians lived together with the trans Muslims in the...in the Gaza. The Zionists attacked them with their Iron Dome. IT'S AN OPEN-AIR PRISON!

"Open air prison"
Gaza had fertility clinics, weight loss centers, 31 hospitals, 8 universities, luxury car dealerships, 5 star hotels, multi-story mosques, 40,000 Gazans entered and exited monthly, free health care, housing allowance, free food, subsidized electricity, water, jobs in Israel (but not Egypt), Americans and Canadians lived in Gaza...
And it is Palestinian-controlled UNRWA that blocks Gazans from being resettled. Israel couldn't care less if Gazans acquire residency elsewhere.
The level of antisemitism shows nothing was learned in the Holocaust.....
I mean most of that stuff you are listing can be said about prisons too though.
@@ickyfist Do people move to prisons from their first world countries like the 15,000 Americans who lived in Gaza?
Do prisons have water parks and Mercedes?
The fact that there are so many open antisemitic people out there... that is scary!
It’s called an “open air prison” because Israel (and Egypt) control the borders of Gaza. All incoming and outgoing resources and individuals of Gaza is not controlled by Gaza itself unlike Israel or any nation state.
“Gazans work jobs in Israel”, yeah they are the people who work the underclass jobs, working long, menial, laborious hours getting paid a meagre wage.
And the “Israel doesn’t care if the Palestinians resided elsewhere”
Yeah, of course israel doesn’t care if Gaza is ethnically cleansed because they can repopulate it with an Israeli populace.
Nazi Germany didn’t care if the poles fled Poland because it made it easier for them to settle the land.
The United States didn’t care if the natives fled west because it would be easier to colonise the land.
The UNRWA are trying to prevent an ethnic cleansing of the native populace
@@John-bravooo I'm not arguing against the point of the post, just pointing out how bad the argument was.
These are also bad arguments. People move to shitty areas all the time. Most doctors for example move to a much poorer area than where they are from so that they can practice their profession. People also tend to live there for family reasons rather than it being a good place to live.
Prisons don't have water parks and mercedes but it's not like the average palestinian does either. It's like if you argued that prisons are better than where the average american lives because they have walk in bathrooms. It's disingenuous and meaningless.
Christians before they became followers of Jesus were called Jews.
What if they were romans?
@HistoricaHungarica id assume conquering Roman's weren't trying to convert to jewdaism, especially in light of the temple they smashed but I am sure a few did. Probably a minority.
As was Jesus.
@@areichental The Romans didn't so much convert as they just said "Nice god/s you have there. It's basically like the one/s we have. Scratch that. It's the same as ours. Welcome to the Empire!" very inclusive policy. Romans had a lot of respect for the Jewish faith simply due to how ancient a religion it was even back then. The problem is that the bare minimum required by the Roman state is that you must give sacrifices to official gods of the state because Rome has to have the favor of the gods or it will fall and to refuse to give a sacrifice to Roman gods was effectively treason. Worship what you want, but treat all gods as gods. Jews refused to do that and that's how you got the Jewish diaspora when their mass murders of Romans became too much.
Not everyone who became a follower of Jesus was a jew prior.

While the average joe who doesn't give a fuck about politics ends up taking up the more centrist sensible political position than the newly political engaged who fall into extreme echo chamber's on social media
Spot on.
I think you're looking at that backwards though. People who become more centrist end up that way because they started looking at politics and saw how insane and what a waste of time it was to care about so they stopped engaging. They don't have to care as much because if things move a little in one direction that isn't the end of the world to them. But people who are more extreme have to stay engaged because if things move in the other direction it's a much bigger loss for them.
There’s hobbits and there’s hooligans.
Hobbits don’t give a shit about politics, don’t know much about it, and just want to live their lives in their corner of the world
Hooligans are super well informed about politics; they know the policies, the players, and have their own fantasy teams, and know all the stats. But they’re hooligans: they only care about their team winning, and they show their commitment to their team by supporting it even when they’re clearly wrong.
That’s the voters; they’re either hobbits or hooligans.
Not even close lol. People who went far right recently were effectively always far right. And the "average Joe" is most likely going to say leftist talking points because that's what's in the status quo.
And then, once you escape, you feel socially homeless on the span of the internet 😢
Most people dont understand that there were no nations in ancient times. There were city-states before the invention of the nation state.
There were kingdoms and empires and in between, there were villages or uninhabited areas that weren't seen as worth conquering because the technology to make it economically useful wasn't there yet.
Nations are 19th century inventions but a significant part of inventing or constructing the nation was through reframing the past into these narratives of national histories. Like in France the histories of France are always subtitled “from the Gauls to the present”… but of course the Gauls had no sense of being French or France or even the idea of a unified nationstate. Nations have this incredible power to project a cohesive category backwards in time despite the obvious contradiction at work in a calling a history of France before there was a France “French history.” That’s just my example because I study the topic.
I taught premodern history at a university and very few students had any conception of a world without nationalism. Even modernist historians struggle to deal with a period of history that lacks a centralized state. Kind of annoying to teach that sort of stuff because you have to get students to distinguish a lot of basic assumptions about how society works which are otherwise invisible to them.
That's not true. There absolutely were nations. The Romans and Greeks saw themselves as distinct from the Celts and Scythians, calling foreigners barbarian even
@humanmerelybeing1966 France is named after the Franks, a Germanic people who conquered much of what was Roman Gaul. The Romans certainly viewed the Germanic people as a nation made up of many tribes

In the time of Christ 'It would have been Palestinian, Arabs and Jews.' Just so wrong, there was so many groups, Samaritans, Greeks, Assyrians, Philistines, Romans. However there were no 'palestinans' as such a region did not yet exist. The Palestinians are in fact, Arabs. And the region of Palestine was named after the Philistines (also called Phoenicians or Punic which is where the term Palestine comes from after Judea was renamed and shaped following a revolt).
What is Canaan?
Minor correction but I believe the Phoenicians and the philistines were different peoples, with the Phoenicians being from current day Lebanon (also colonised parts of North Africa founding Carthage) and the philistines being from modern day Gaza/bits of Israel and Egypt.
The term Palestine and region can be dated back millenia and commonly known as such from Histories of Herodotus in 5th century BCE as "Palaistine" through to the end of the Roman empire. Try Reading a book and stop listening to Israeli propoganda.

I know I've been watching too much Destiny because once they said "open air prison" I knew Destiny was gonna do that small nose breathing out laugh he does when someone says something ridiculous
I will always find it ironic that these jew haters call other people nazis.
Defense mechanism. Just project onto others.
its cause the N word isn't the N word by the true definition anymore the same way no one uses the word literal as its true meaning anymore if that makes sense
@@mc-rv5ou Changing the meaning of preexisting words to match how you want them to be will never make sense.
Just bc someone uses all the buzzwords with zeal dont mean they know what they are talking about

Say what you will about Bari Weiss, but she was correct on left-wing anti-semitism: It's built on the idea being Jewish is strictly religious.

She’s right though, the whole term Palestinian comes from the Roman name for the region while it was under their rule, after they destroyed the kingdom of Israel they would have considered many of the people in that area as “Palestinian” not as a matter of nationality but as a matter of where they’re from
Well then it would be inhabited by a vast majority Palestinians, and not like how she puts it at all
Well… the Israelis and Palestinians are distant cousins. Genealogically they are pretty much the same people. The only reason we don’t call them all Israeli or all Palestinian is really because of political decisions that have been made about the region and distinctions that have been decided about the people for over a hundred years now.
It’s one of the reasons this war is so tragic these people have common ancestors that are traceable from more than a thousand years ago
No she isn't
When Jesus was around the name Palestine hadn't been used
He never even heard of that word
@@luffysmoukou7866 Constantine? That movie was good
Sadly it never got a sequel.
Yes but back then nationality was more important to define.
Thousands of years ago, race wasn't really a thing that was articulated and understood too well. If you were darker or lighter skinned, that's just how you'd be described when speaking about your physical appearance, but at the end of the day it was understood that you just look like your parents for some reason.
The comedic reality is that both Jews and Arabs have a common genetic ancestral group from the area.
The same people who claim words matter also use terms such as "open-air prison" with no comprehension of what a prison is. If you can come and go as you please you are not in a prison whatsoever. Also, they seem to not comprehend that it is the Palestinian government that has caused the problems for the Palestinians.
The President, while the head of the executive branch, does not appear have direct control over individual cases as shown by US v Nixon

Wherever an online "intellectual" says "its not complicated" in response to the solution of one of the most complex and long standing modern geopolitical issues, you have ever reason to dismiss their thoughts on the region.
Its obviously complicated or else it would've been solved lmaoooo. We have multiple solutions and none of them are "simple"
1. One state solution: would we really expect long term peace? Who would take over with elections? Anyone confident in what would happen next is simply lying. No one knows.
2. A 2 state solution? Well we've never gotten both parties to cosign this.
3. Land Back? Does this result in Jews being purged from the land?
4. Ethnic cleansing of Palestine? That sounds horrific too.
5. Who gets Jerusalem in a two state deal?
6. Do Palestinians hold any accountability for not agreeing to a 2 state solution because their lands were stolen decades ago?
7. What about the Iranian aspect? Im sure egypt and Saudis dont want Hamas holding power right next to them.
I could go on but every outcome comes with negatives and both parties (Netanyahu and Hamas) dont want peace
Wait did she just say at 27:33 Christians existed when Christ was born... Bro no one should ever listen to your historical takes ever again
Basically, it was. What's problematic with that statement?
@@Saintjackoftrades Christians didn't exist until well after Jesus's death. The term Christian is not used in the Bible a single time because they didn't exist yet. How could a religion around a man exist before he was born? It's like saying Muslims were there when Jesus was born.
@@GuranPurin thre followers of the Christ are the early Christians and has its origins in the middle of the first century. Christianity has been around for about 2k years. Christianity evolves to this day getting it's start as a Jewish sect. The start of something only needs an official start when you want to name the start but certainly the followers of the beginning of the religion started within a few decades of the death of Jesus.
@@Saintjackoftrades The question was "at the time of Jesus' BIRTH, who lived there?". 0 Christians lived there at the time of Jesus' birth because 0 Christians existed at the time of his birth. She is factually wrong.

Here is what I understand. A standardized test can DICTATE a curriculum. For example; if the school districts know their students must pass a standardized test at the end of the year, they can tailor their curriculum to better support their students to pass that test.
In general, school boards and their districts define the curriculum.

"Why does the US hate Russia" the US doesn't hate Russia. Russia has a pretty long history of invading and subjugating nations surrounding them and then crying foul when anyone says they shouldn't be doing that. The US would VERY MUCH rather Russia concentrate on building their industrial and agricultural base so they can become a trading partner with the US.
