Yeah that is truly insane. The whole idea of protestant work ethic is that working beyond what you actually need was turned into a virtue. Before that Christians weren't all that happy about workaholics who bathed in richness. Blessed are the poor you know? But eventually that got turned around into 'poor = sinful and rich = blessed', and that served as the fertile ground out of which capitalism could arise.
So if you understand this concept, why are you making so much money and working so hard? Why not just stop when you got all your needs met and focus on something other than work? If you are fighting for social change, why are you so weak to care about these kind of cultural forces? Try to save some money by letting your insurance lapse, having your place burn down. As you are renting you can then sue the landlord for unsafe conditions.
If you live in California the eviction laws are in your benefit so stop paying rent and upgrade that pissy vehicle with the money you save.
I think you’ll find that the ability to travel freely and easily will make you more money in the long run, so I recommend upping the price spent on travel (perhaps buy another car), and spend less on food. I hope this helps 👍

I've looked up countless charities that ask for donations at checkouts/school events and I swear half of them only donate around 5-8% of the money.... There was one(Im spacing on the name) that used 70% of donations on advertisements to get more donations, like some self perpetuating charity pyramid scheme.

The labour theory of value is legit, if you spend 900 hours digging a hole in your backyard and filling it with piss, that means you produced at least minimum wage * 900 hours in value so that piss hole is worth $13,000. If you spend 1 hour putting together a Macbook pro and use $15 worth of metal and plastic that Macbook is worth $30. Nothing matters except how many hours someone spent on it. Karl Marx is a genius, and you just don't understand.
If it takes me 15 hours to make a meal, and it takes someone else 1 hour, that means my meal should be worth 15x more.
If someone invests a billion dollars to hire scientists to make a medication that cures every form of cancer and they charge $1000 a pill, they are stealing the value of the guy who puts the pills in the box. The only thing that has any value is mindless menial labor, because that is all I know how to do or am capable of understanding.
If i spend 3 hours sharpening a knife, and someone else spends 10 hours sharpening a knife, that means their knife is ~3x more valuable. Now, lets say i sharpened my knife at a 20* angle for the same time, and that other person sharpened their knife at a 35* angle for 10 hours. Both knifes, one is sharper and requires less time while the other is dull and requries a lot more time. both knifes tho. I have never understood the whole designer cloths thing. I get wanting to buy nice Nike shit for $120 sweater or whatever. But why the fuck get $1250 shoes (that don't even look that comfortable) when $200 Adidas or Puma would be just as good. Just wild. And they don't look nice. The $1200 pants look like muddy jeans when I forget to wash them after yard work. I get expansive cars, or houses they look dope. But the fashion world will always be like an alien planet to me.
It also blow my mind that these designer clothes are still made in the worst sweatshops around. So, even buying the designer crap doesn't make a difference so you can't fall back on the "They are more expense to not exploit labor" lol
