Most know that the deadliest conflict in human history was the Second World War. Less people know what the second deadliest conflict was. In the 1800s one man brought the Empire of China to its knees. Dragging down 20 million people to their deaths as he went. This man’s name was Hong Xiuquan. Hong claimed to be the brother of Jesus himself and he and his followers pledged to bring their fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity to China, and rid it of the demons who sat on its throne. This revolt, the taiping rebellion, was nearly successful. Nearly toppling the Qing dynasty and asserting a new Heavenly Kingdom over China. Today we ask, what if it was?

Please make a part two* video on what if the Bronze Age Collapse never happened? Specifically focusing on how this even not occurring would have affected the Celts, Germanic Peoples in particular the Nordic Bronze Age* Culture who had close trade links with Mycenaean Greece interestingly enough, the Etruscans, Italic Peoples, Slavs, Elam, Nubia/Kush, Lybia, Urartu*, Saba in Yemen and the Land of Punt*.

Fun Fact: Most peoples in Mongolia and Northern China were Turkic-speaking Nasturian Christians (Naimans, Keraites, Onguds, Merkits, some Uyghurs etc.) before Chinggisid invasions.

@@ThatAnnoyingAmerican The Hakka people in Guangdong are regarded as outsiders by the local Cantonese, but they are always regarded as Han chinese. In this sense, the Hakka in chinese is "客家",“客”which means guest, and “家”means family, which extends as "group" in this term, we are outsiders from Guangdong because we are from the north, but we are not outsiders from Chinese and Han people, we are Han chinese people.🙏

Taiping policy during Hong Xiuquan cannot be our mental guidebook for predicting future policy. The main problem for extrapolating opinions on a victorious Taiping from the opinions we have is that, well, the Taiping didn't last. Their winning not gonna say how, just *if* they last will completely throw our perception of the on it’s head.
Peoples with enemies on all sides living day-to-day lives in chaos do a lot of things that in retrospect look bizarre. But, if they succeed in establishing and maturing to second generation leadership, they usually loosen their more extreme measures or most obviously self-foot shooting policies in favour of stability.
Taiping is not unique on this. Mazdakism, Munster Rebellion, Mormons during Nauvoo days, many Sufi groups in Iran, Ikhwan in Saudi Arabia, Reign of Terror during French Revolution. Crisis produces LOTS of crazy. Taiping as a state would likely coalesce as a breakaway nation in the south anchored to a major river if not two.
My expectation is that as the fires of war end up more in the past Christianity derived from the missionaries would begin colouring/partially dissolving a lot of the Taiping and really Chinese customs in general.

This video's a prime example of that old "Mr. Incredible slowly getting more uncanny" meme format, where it's like "oh, interesting topic!" And then the more you delve into it the worse and worse it gets lol
Moral of the story: don't give absolute authority to people who claim to be Jesus #2, or an equivalent "long-lost brother," etc. You know the situation's unsalvageable when the guy running a harem is putting people to death for having sex with their own spouses.

Option three: the yuan dynasty follows the path of every other mongol successor state and converts to islam
