Updates on what’s going on with my 1976 KH500 H1 and the Scrambler 1200 XE Chrome.
Time for the Scramblers break in service and break down of service price.
I agree with you about that idle speed. It’s way too high.
Do you know whether they can dial it back a bit at the dealership?
I’m looking forward to installing the Guy Martin Slash Cut exhaust, and the Iconic tail tidy.
My dealer looked into that. Unfortunately they weren’t able to turn off that auto idle up feature.
Thanks for the video
Love the jacket very retro.
How are you finding the chrome tank, not sure if i want the 2024 model or the chrome, just a bit worried about looking dull after a few months.
How do you find the height of the bike i am 5 foot nine and think i need the lower seat 25mm
Thanks
The only change that I like about the 2024 model is going back to the keyed ignition. For me with my experience with Ducatis, Marzochi is a step down in the suspension department. I had toyed with wrapping the chrome, but I decided I’d rather see the patina from age over the years. I’m short! Only 5’7”. My inseam is 30”. With my hiking style riding boots, I can just tiptoe on both sides. With my Tech7’s, it’s one foot down which I’m used to. The bike feels way lighter than my GSA 1250 did.
Wait for the 2024, in spite of what he says there are a lot of improvements with redesigned throttle intakes being the most noticeable.
@@andrewkitchenuk with my 2023!the fueling is spot on perfect, very smooth, no hiccups. Pretty much all the changes to the 2024 models is to reduce the price. There is a very small power increase with the 24’s, but nothing you would notice. The biggest drop in price is from using cheap suspension components. It gets quite expensive upgrading suspension. As I mentioned, the one price cutting change that I would like on my bike is going back to an ignition key. But this is just my opinion…..and you know what they say about opinions.
The bike sounds great.
What pipes are you using?
@@0HARE I’m running the Total Triumph Guy Martin slash cuts. They come with baffles installed already.
Did you ever figure out what the TFT update was?
No, I haven’t noticed any difference.
we want keys, not fobs
