- Woke up at 4:45am just to catch the premier of this video when it was released! Was it worth it?! This is only the THIRD Electric Callboy song I've ever heard, so I still didn't know what to expect with this band, but they definitely deliver! (I was having some microphone issues during my reaction, and you guys know I only do one authentic reaction, so I apologize if it isn't perfect!)

@@TankTheTech I know. When I found out I was honestly shocked. Here you can even swear openly on national television. When I first heard some censored versions it really threw me off.
BTW I learned about that censorship due to one really hilarious Eminem interview in the past on a show called TV Total which is mostly in English.
Clear channel wouldn't touch this, I blame them for the pitiful state of office approved radio. I remember hearing slayer in normal rotation back in the day

This is brilliant marketing by them. Dropping Hypa Hypa to get people talking, then dropping a more serious track that many people may not have listened to if it wasnt for the hype surrounding Hypa Hypa. I love this song tbh and I hope they get big.

@@TankTheTech Eskimo Callboy said that they never expected Hypa Hypa to explode as it did, they were actually surprised because for them it rather was a project to have fun.
In my opinion this song was made to show what their new singer can do
Most people wont know how good he is from his previous great but smaller band (To the Rats and Wolves) and here he gets all the opportunities to cast his vocal magics :D
I mean since hypa hypa eskimo callboy is kinda big and therefor ,they were still pretty big in the german metal scene, espacialy since mc thunder.

@@peterpansen4243 That's just straight-up wrong. "Öffentlich rechtliche" radio stations tend to censor most of the time, but that's far from all available stations.
This to me was a 100% chance to show off Nico and his vocal ability. They are very proud of his ability and it gets lost/overloooked a bit in their other big songs with the crazy fun videos, the unclean vocals from Kevin and all that so this one lets him shine with a touch of the uncleans from Kevin in the background through the song but at a much lower volume than Nico's Cleans. I love this song for that reason. They have the fun ones and they have this.

HOLY SHIT! AMAZING pull with the Offspring! As soon as you stopped and started humming I was thinking to myself "damn, he's right!" A name amongst names. How does something like that get by me, I must be slipping in my old age!
The only reason I got that is cause the Offspring were a huge part of my early teenage years and I LOVED that song.

I had listened to them in the eighties and early nineties
but had as I wandered away from listening to rock
and returned to my classical roots
I had forgotten about them
and found out that they still existed.
It is an interesting song
where the lyrics and the video
seem to be telling different stories
but that made it intriguing.
They are my new favorite thing

I've been really enjoying your reaction to their songs! Watching the video I just find it so smartly done (and somewhat kind, I guess) that Kevin, their second vocalist, was giving Nico pretty much the whole stage to himself. It's so amazing to see how well they click!
Because I'm a new fan of this band, I didn't even really think about that. I DID notice that Nico was the only one really being focused on, but now that you mention that, that's really awesome if they did that just to spotlight Nico and introduce him more.

I didn't stay up for the premiere. I have been pulling a few all nighters recently to play Ghost of Tsushima. Anyhoo, I found your channel the other day when you did a reaction to Hypa Hypa. I have listened to the song so many times. Watched so many reactions. I still couldn't prevent myself from headbanging along with you. Love the vibe. Love the tunes you play during the intro and outro. Love the Blackhawks logo. Patrick Kane has the sickest hands. Though nothing compares to the Blackhawks' squad from 2010 to 2015. I wake up fast. With our routine on tour, I’m used to getting up like 10 minutes before load in and then having to be ready for work, so it’s pretty normal. The immediate wake up til about 10 minutes after is usually pretty rough though, as you could see in the beginning. Haha. And thank you so much, by the way!
