i got the legion pro 5 with the ryzen 7 7745hx and a rtx 4070 and 32gb ddr5 @5200 mhz for 2100cad after taxes. quite a good find. i didn't get the 500nits 240hz but still quite happy. Lenovo is killing it.

@@greeneyelightskin746 As most laptops in this price range, it gets hotter with more usage (gaming, heavy editing, etc) but it doesn't get overly hot that it disturbs you. On max performance, the fan can run a little loud, but personally, it's not super loud, still manageable, I've seen louder laptops for sure (like a Gigabyte, which is value for money, but they compromise on a few areas)

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ITH6H RTX 3070 Gaming Laptop 16" WQXGA 165Hz Intel i7-11800H - and I literally cannot praise it enough. Obviously, there's some trade offs compared to having a modular build (I'd like one of those too eventually), but its a really solid piece of kit - and with a cooling pad I've never worried once about temps.

It just has a couple of fans that you can set the speed for with a dial, and that's enough to keep the temperatures at a level I'm comfortable with. I don't think I ever get above 90c on the CPU or the GPU - and usually in the mid-70s if under a heavy gaming load. Obviously warmer than a desktop, but well within tolerance.
Yo man hope this helps but you can overclock vram and clock speed in general by 3% at least i believe. Its safe as well and can be done by the lenovo vantage software Edit: If you get the 32 gb version it should run a lot smoother
This has some tough competition against the Asus G14 in the US, especially when, with sales, you can get the 4070 version of the G14 for the same price as the 4060 config here. Plus, the G14 goes up to a 4080 and 4090 mobile, which are significantly more powerful than the 4060/70 series

I'm sorry, but these reviews/ads simply aren't doing the best in communicating the issues with the AMD version of this laptop. I've experienced it, and there are dozens of forums covering the same issues. Some claiming the Intel version also has the same problem. No, you shouldn't have to buy a new ssd to fix the problem. No, you shouldn't have to buy more ram to avoid stuttering and freezing at the most basic of settings... no, even if you did, it won't fix the issues. I had one for 14 days, and we tried every solution possible. This has a hardware design flaw.
That's exactly the same expects you get with the Msi pulse 15 but the Msi is £500 less, The pulse 15 with qhd 165hz, 4060 tgp 140w, 16gb 5600, 1tb sad 4, i7 13700h, and you get a really solid build, and a titanium alloy lid (Lazer draw)
but it's MSI... I'll take Lenovo Legion build quality any day (owned MSI before and coming from a Zephyrus G14 and Legion 5 Pro). Things are about more than just the spec sheet.
I will say it runs okay for medium setting in these games. In it is just a 4060 but getting 70 fps an playing at 2k is good if you dropped it down you'd def be playing at higher rates across the board an you'd still very much enjoy the games. Def good mix for that bundle.
I have tried playing games on my friend’s Legion 5 Gen 6 and nope I couldn’t tolerate the heat, but yes at the time of using his laptop it’s been more than a year since he has cleaned its internals If u really don’t want hot air blowing on your mouse hand then I recommend u to get the Legion 5i Gen 9 in which all the vents r at the rear, so far there’s only one honest review in which the thermals seems great 👍🏼
I've bought mine a month ago and I've been mostly using it in air conditioned rooms. All the metal parts of the body feel cold to touch. I make sure there's space underneath the laptop so fans could suck enough air. So, it never felt hot to me on max settings and turbo mode.
I think the idea that laptos need to be slim is rediculous, why cant we have them thicker and more upgradeable. I prefer a thick laptop if it will have better cooling and performance. Hello, I got the legion 5 pro with ryzen 5 5600h and 3050ti...the version with 2k display 165hz...all good until I start to play something resource hungry....temps are so high...92-94 avg on cpu and 86 thermal throttleing on gpu...pretty high frequencies tho...using a laptop stand with 5 coolers, not a big diff, just lifting it up works but are the temps normal??
I got one with flickering screen and overall graphical problems. Had to return in and I got acer swift x14. Much better overall laptop with OLED screen.

I bought this exact laptop for my daughter, and it stutters playing roblox. It can barely handle warzone, and AAA games run at around 25fps, and even with FG, you'll be getting around a 15% boost, but the pucture quality is terrible. With how much this costs, you'd be better of buying a ps5 and a regular laptop for work, and it'd still work out cheaper
check laptop/game settings make sure power mode is on performance mode or turbo make sure game mode is on in settings also always make sure to keep it plugged up on charge gaming laptops aren't meant to be taken off of charge. also internet issues can cost lag when playing online games so have at least stable internet for around 60 or more fps in most online games.
Odd. Have the same laptop and Roblox runs beyond perfect in high settings, even with the integrated graphics. It may be your wifi or you got a faulty device, check it.

Sleep isn’t any good. I usually put my Lenovo v15 g2 on hibernate or I shut it off completely. It’s a productivity laptop I have but I’m planning to get this one soon
Between this and the Asus Strix G16 which do you honestly think will last for a longer time when comparing the build quality. Cause am afraid that the hinge on the Strix G16 might easily break when not handled properly.

The keyboard gets warm when the laptop is idling. The fans randomly started running loudly a couple of times for no reason at all.

the LOQ is good but the color is not great as the other models, i would go for last year gen Legion 5 with rtx 3070 or the current gen not the slim.

they r definitely not normal, there maybe sumthn wrong with ur cpu or the manufacturer havent put enough thermal paste

laptops with AMD processzors have significantly better battery life, and overally about the same cpu perf
Battery life is only 30 minutes better on the Slim 5 so not much of a difference

Between this and the Asus Strix G16 which do you honestly think will last for a longer time when comparing the build quality.
Cause am afraid that the hinge on the Strix G16 might easily break when not handled properly.
