  • Cooler air makes for more power! We show you what it takes to install the popular 997.2 GT2 RS / Turbo intercoolers in the 996. There's a bit of work involved but the intercoolers are light, flow well, and support some serious power.
We then dial in the tune on our dyno to extract more power from the new intercoolers. We tune these cars both in-house and remotely and can't stress enough how important it is to tune your car for the modifications installed, fuel you're using, and overall age and condition of the particular vehicle.
Bonus, we throw in some PFC08 pads for the track.

I have a pair of DO88 intercoolers on mine, made a significant difference to the standards ones.

They do make a nice difference. How was the install?

Other than trimming to fit, fairly easy@@stratifiedauto . I was having issues with the boost I was running( 1.3-1.4 bar)on hybrids, with the intercooler ends snapping when I jumped off the throttle and onto the brakes, I chatted with Marksi, and could not work it out. The only thing we could put it down to was that my tuner was running increased duty cycle and the intercoolers were weaping boost. Changing to the DO88 cured it,but it was now boosting at 1.8 bar compared to 1.2. So it definitely seems to have been the case. The only issue I am now currently having is, when either lifting , or dropping from 6th to 4th on part throttle, I get ABS/PSM lights on the dash, I have run through a lot of things, ( It did this the first time it blew an intercooler), I am thinking it either needs a new MAF, Or there is an issue with the mapping.

Nice Ride! What size tires are you running in the stock turbo twists?!

Thank you. They are 315/30/18. Yes they are wide for the stock turbo rears.

On our dyno in a 4th gear pull we went from a 40F delta from start to finish to a 30F delta with the new intercoolers and higher boost.

How much boost are you making in this video?

PSS9/10’s can not be slammed like that. When too low they ride on bump stops. You can find the lowest setting measurements in the instructions.

They are actually at the top of the range for ride height. The car is being compressed by the dyno straps.
