Recently bought this set I agree it's surprising they went with 501st again😂 I also prefer to just not use the attachments, and have them as regular clones
I wanted it I didn't manage to get a 4th 2020 501st BP, which was my goal. I wanted to have them nicely placed in a row or two. I was happy to get a second chance, although they stand out a bit too much for me to be completely satisfied. But it's nice to have some clones with a bit of identity, of character. The last time lego experimented with their clone figures was in 2012, when they introduced the ARC trooper with all these custom prints, and specialized accessories. I like that. The specialists look rather obscure placed on a baseplate as if they were an army, but they would look great in dynamic dioramas, and are certainly more appealing to kids, because they have much more personality than the plain 501st troopers. And it makes sense to make these specialist clones from 501st, as we don't sacrifice the chance to have other legions figures introduced as plain troopers, not specialists, in the future. Also, the holes in helmets are awesome. I've been waiting for this design change for years - I really liked the idea of customizing clones with accessories, ever since I got the 2009 Clone Walker BP, and I thought the lack of those slots in phase II helmets was a wasted potential. I really don't think that they ruin the look of the troopers, while they add so much possibilities for both play and collecting. I have spoken.
The helmet holes are ugly, they only look good if you put on the macro binoculars and the visors but they look terrible when you don’t have those attachments on.
@@Big_potater but at least you can add those attechments. And like I said earlier, they don't bother me, so I think it's a change for the better. Thay are toys after all, not marble statues, they are meant for play too and not just looking good. But yeah, I get you, they might look awful to others, I get it. I just think there's silver lining to that.
@@LegoFarieval they are only good if those new helmets are exclusive to only figures who need attachments but Lego is so lazy they use them for all clones even the ones that don’t need attachments.
